Here this. Fr. Seraphim Rose was mistaken when he said that we are living in the one thousand year reign of Christ right now and that it is a purely mystical reign. This a form of gnosticism and on the face of it is patently ridiculous. There are also false teachings, "doctrines of devils" that come from the evil one. Of these St. Paul said "Among them are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan to be taught not to blaspheme." 1 Timothy 1:20. The Apostolic age was certainly a part of the Church age. Scripture tells us that now, in the Church age the devil "goes about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour", 1 Peter 5:8; and we are commanded to "submit yourselves therefore to God and resist the devil", James 4:7. Ephesians 6:23 tells us " For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." Father Seraphim Rose was very mistaken here. I am so concerned over the cultish devotion to Seraphim Rose. God forbid that even if I were ever to attain to a state of saintiliness that I could see Peter and Paul in heaven that I would ever have people coming to my grave after my demise and asking for my intercession. This spiritual message is relevant to all of us, including the West. Pope infailability is a heresy. Divorce was largely accepted by catolics too. Rates of divorce are hoger in catolics and protestant churches. Catolics are first protestants and from there all sects started. Orthodox church has one dogma and is not dividedin sects (there ia only distinction in old and new rite). Tradition of Church Fathers (until 8th century) is precisely consulted and practiced no variation accepted. Orthodox Christianity has hudred of thousands of saints who prove that Church is alive and head of church is not pope but Christ. The heighest bishop is the first from the equals (check scriptures) but is not infailible. He is like the one who represents Church in one person but is not considered infailible. For decisions regarding dogma and heresy there is always a council. What is the point of a council if Pope is infailible and what he said is truth? Peter was the first from the equals. Fo you know what equal means? Not infailible for sure. And regarding the unification of church it is possible only if catolics get rid of heresy of pope infailability, filioque and some other infailabilities. Remember the inquisition, Crusades and continuous denigration of orthodox Church. Ther is one belief, one baptism(3 times emerging in water) and one Church.

The first century followers of Jesus called themselves, Katicolas aka Catholic, meaning One universal doctrine for all, but the different sects of orthodoxy has many Vicars, not One, and variations of doctrine, not One. Whereas, the Maronite Catholic Church, the Chaldean Iraqi Catholic Church, the Mar Thoma Catholic Church, and many others acknowledge the Pope as the One Vicar of Christ. Just like God immediately reprimanded King Solomon when he attempted to alter doctrine inorder, to accommodate his pagan Canaanite wife. Orthodoxy was started by Constantine, who got baptized on his deathbed. Prior to his ascension as Emperor, Rome was already 85% Christian and he used this fact, inorder to gain more power. Though, Constantine initiated the process, only the Catholic bishops compiled the first and second century scriptural documents to form the Bible. Since the Catholic bishops realized his lack of faith, they rejected Constantine's request to be Pope. There is the Greek Orthodox, Russian Orthodox, Armenian Orthodox, Ethiopian Orthodox, and others, who do not share identical doctrine, nor One Vicar.
