    The approach i use to help with the neck and proportions in general along with the silhouette is using primitives. I don't think there's anything wrong with the way you guys sculpt from a sphere into what you want it to be. However using primitives gives you so much more control over a lot of the things you guys talk about. anatomy, shape, proportions, and the overall look and feel. As an example. Creating a head you could do with 4 spheres, the cranium, jaw, and the 2 ears, and then use a 5th for the neck. Then if you see something doesn't quite add up or look quite right, you can easily go back and edit the primitive base before going onto adding in the major features. It even makes sculpting muscles so much easier because you can look up a reference and move the primitive around to look like the muscle you are replicating. Then dynamesh and smooth out the creases and you are literally left with just adding in detail on the body and face. I'm not saying this way is better than yours or anything but its an alternative for beginners especially if they want a lot of control over what goes where.

    I absolutely love you guys. I can't really put to words how much I appreciate you and your work.
    You've taught me more than anyone has ever taught me before. At this point it has become a habit to listen to you when I sculpt, thanks to you, I started to sculpt twice as much compared to before. You always insire me and generaly make me a better artist, a better person to be honest.
    Thank you for all of your work, you are lifesavers.

    I loved how you traced the lines=muscles from specific points to build the ECM . Having the main structure and knowing where each muscle inserts helps building without randomness. Great video! 🙏🏻

    You guys never disappoint with your videos, it's such reliable content. I was literally asking myself the things you mentioned in the video yesterday when the video came out. For me it's always very tough to get a sculpt to look like and express an actual life being with a soul. Gotta appreciate the content, really ! :')

    I think I'll never free myself from "musculus sternocleidomastoideus" presence in my life xD For the first twenty yrs I've been hearing about it from my mum who studied muscles at the physical education academy. And now when I live by myself for few years you guys are talking about it in almost every vid. Or maybe not almost every but I watch your vids multiple times.

    What are some resources you guys would recommend for improving my understanding of anatomy?
    I'm a student and really want to improve my work.
    I understand the obvious answer is to just look at images of muscle and bone structure. But when it comes to 3D I constantly find out I've been doing things the hard way and would appreciate some advice.
    I love your channel. Keep it up.

    Hi! I'm learning a lot from your videos. Thank you so much. Now that my Zbrush trial is ending. I'd like to ask if ZbrushCore is enough for all the types of projects you guys are doing on TH-cam? Thank you.

    • @FlippedNormals
      @FlippedNormals  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Zbrush core is missing some essential features. So if you want to proceed with a more character or creature focused pipeline, you will probably need to full version.
      But core does have most of it, but definitely read up on the differences and research what the features it's missing are meant for :)

    • @ninja_tony
      @ninja_tony 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is probably the stupidest thing I've ever read on this site, and that's really saying something. To anyone else that sees this crap, this channel is not "supporting a nazi regime". I can't believe that even has to be said. Literally the only thing they have said or done in regards to Ukraine at all is to say they will donate all profits from their current sales to help the kids and families that are having to flee the country. Anyone with even a shred of human decency would agree that is a GOOD thing. No decent, caring human being would be offended by that. Those families have nothing to do with the BS political war taking place, they are innocent people that are being forced to leave their homes. How anyone could possibly be offended by someone offering financial support to innocent victims at a time like this is sickening.
      And to the jackass that made this comment, don't even bother replying because I sure as hell won't be reading or replying to it. Scumbags like you aren't worth debating with, and there really is no debate in the first place. Innocent people are having their lives destroyed because of a worthless psycho in another country, and a lot of people all over the world are rightly trying to help in whatever way they can. Anyone that's offended by that is a disgusting piece of crap.
