How often should a rolled back 2.0tdi (cffb) regen once its been remapped.? And is their such a thing as a dpf friendly remap regarding measured soot levels. Thanks.
I wonder if you help me? After finding a build up of oil and soot in the throttle body I cleaned it all out. Then i had a stage one and an EGR delete (with a blocking plate in the stainless pipe at the front) from Celtic tuning. About a year before that VW came to my house and did the software 'update'. Can i now just take out that air restrictor from in front of the MAFF without issues?? Any help appreciated.
My tuner was not able to remove the restrictor aka. airstraightner,, with software,, (only stage 1 remap as it is) is it possible to do it yourself for example If I own a OBDeleven,,? I just wanna get rid of the bloody restrictor because i feel huge gains when it's gone, but it throws alot of codes (enginelight comes on) Cheers from sweden 👍
I had a 1.6 TDI 105 Leon mapped to 147bhp 330NM and no clutch or flywheel issues and it was my second car so you can imagine I had no mechanic sympathy for it whatsoever 🤦🏻♂️ I put 60k on it with the remap and had no issues whatsoever and the difference was ridiculous before hand it was as dead a dodo with only 105bhp and very long gearing being the ecomotive model
@@VolksWorkshop hi mate very strange I have now bought This van an am here on TH-cam looking at all sorts an funnily enough seen this video then spotted it’s actually the van I have now 😄, so basically I’ve had it 2 weeks went on the motorway got into 3rd gear an the glowplug/eml had came on wouodnt go past 2rpm an wouodnt go over 40mph is there anything you could say this is caused by ? Thanks
I removed mine, no eml lights so far but won't be running right. Only took it off prior to going in for s remap. Been like it for 3 weeks and it's fine. I'd recommend taking it off just before remap but only if you are getting diesel gate roll back. If in doubt make sure you go to a good mapper and get them to remove it before mapping session. If you romove it and don't get a roll back it will be messing up maf readings

No you can’t the van will throw some MAF codes and go into limp mode, basically run worse

Not unless it was rolled back beforehand but then it should have been removed anyway
