YARDMAX YG1650 Review (Stress Test)

- Hey guys,
Today I wanted to put my YardMax 1650 mower through the Ringer. I have been letting my grass grow for like a month or so and now it's time to put this thing to the test and on top of that, it's been raining for a month which is gonna make the job a lot harder.

I'm impressed with the power to cut grass that would normally require bush hogging.
It does perform great for push mower. Its a little thin and flex at times.

its light weight .cuts good . i have one. engine kill cable just went out. owned 1.5 yrs. no issues. i use non ethanol gas in mine.
I only been having side chute issues the motor is solid.
and this is why he has a push mower collection!

But it did get the job done . One tough

Yes, in the army when we got new gear we would do a stress test, extreme use of the item!
i bought there walk behind trimmer mower 2 years ago and the motor locked up on me they sent me a new motor on it i mean in the old motor i put the right amount of oil in it and the motor still locked up i hope you have had better luck with this then i had with mine
How many carborators are hidden in that grass? I see about 6 used mowers buried in that pasture. This is bushog territory.

I only have 1 complaint, the side chute goes out. just wore out my 2nd one. other than that very happy with the buy!
I think those engines are basically made by the same mfg as harbor, freight predator engines
Do you have to Prime the carb AFTER it is warmed up to restart? I have a new YG1650 and after it is hot and I turn it off to empty the bag. Most of the time I have to Prime it once to restart, do you?
no mine does not but my neighbor has a powermore using the same motor and he has that problem.

I'm in a military town so all my neighbors are the same, we don't care about the pond next door if it doesn't trickle into our own. Now when I fire up my 2 strokes that's a different story!
I think that mower has over 190cc of displacement, but the reason that I didn't buy it is because there are NO PARTS available for it!! Not even a replacement blade available! THAT'S because the mower is a CHINA mower. Other than that I would have purchased the mower
You can buy parts for it. There's even a parts list for it.
Several otha blades mount on these. Or jus sharpen ur blade
I believe the YG 1650 model is 170cc.
How were you not in court on a code abatement
oh that's easy, code enforcement officers do their job choosing the path of least resistance, they only do their job from the car and ignore the back yards since that'll require getting out of the car

Lemme tell ya something. STAY AWAY FROM ANYTHING CALLED YARDMAX! I bought one around 5-15-23 and used it only about 5-6 times. It is made with extremely cheap components. The plastic knobs for closing and locking the handle broke off. The height adjustment broke off. The front wheel broke as I was using it and the axle came out off place. The plastic for the undercarriage cracked in two requiring its complete removal. That cover the belt and pulleys for the self propel assembly. Needles to say, that can no longer by used. Surprising no engine issues (yet) and it will cut serious grass-provided you have patching up skills. THIS POS IS CHEAP FOR A REASON AND YOU WILL GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR!
all of that in 5 or 6 uses. Hard to believe.
Never cut the grass at 2 inches.
