Well I just watched everything I could for this Yardmax Mower. I hope I can put it together. I need to purchase the tools. I hope I don’t have trouble with it, try to put it together. I have no one to help me. I don’t know tools, but I’m willing to try to put this together. After I get the tools. Thank you for your video. I’m sure you’re help will be the most it will get.
It's pretty easy. Especially after watching this. Just write down everything he shows you that u will need and ask a neighbor or a friend. If not, then it's off to Lowes. lol. GL
@@sizzlechooch hi Joe. Well, you were right, it was pretty easy. I called my son son in California and he told me what kind if tools to buy. I followed directions. I had a hard time with the black thing on the rear. I was going to take off the big wheels, but show I did it. I know it took me longer than it should have but I finally did it. I’m 65 and just retired, really have no one but my brother in law across the street that could help me but I don’t like asking for his help. But I had to because I’m to weak to pull the cord to start it. Does anyone out there know how I can tighten up the starter cord so I can start this mower w/o asking my in law to start it for me???????? Thank you for any suggestions.
@@gerribearden9290 Yeah, I'm 68 and not too mechanically inclined myself. But it sure feels good once you finish a project like this. Knowing your own weakness, and I'm sorry to hear that, maybe you should have went with an electric starter.
How do u clip the bag on? My old mower had hooks and the bag just clipped right on them. This one is flush with nothing to hold it. Great video btw. Probably couldn't have done most of it without u. Never mind. There's a thin little bar that runs the width of the mower behind the spring loaded door that the bag's hooks clip onto. If any one else has that problem.
On this type of mower the hooks are on the bag assembly, lift the back port all the way up and the hooks go on the metal bar that goes across holding that port
I just bought one, said no oil, to put in required amout, i did then it started blowing smoke cut it off, drained oil as i figured i must have put in too much, drained out more than I had put in, meaning it already had oil, i then started it it cleared out all old smoke it ran great for about 20 minutes cut grass well, then stpped all at once. thought i was out of gas...but no, will not restart now....trouble shooting section of manual does not help, hope i can get my money back
Make sure that the spring loaded pin has a return and that pops out enough to set well in the whole in 5:21 notice that i had it miss aligned at first and then it pops into place, the spring makes it easier to change between the 3 available positions by pulling and turning the knob
Yes! Thank you! Unfortunately, I had to return it. The engine kept failing. The rear wheel wasn't stable as the front. Your video was helpful, thank you 4 the quick reply! I did have to spend 100 more🙄 for Craftsman
For the life of me, I can't get the handle on right. First, I put it on the back open hole (why is that even there??) Then I moved it to the front, but the pins don't line up with the holes. sigh... I REALLY want to like this mower, but for crying out loud! It shouldn't be this difficult. None of the other's I've put together were.
I found out that if i put the bolt for the handle on the bottom hole then the Pin that is on the side of the handle would not lined up with the wholes either. The top whole makes it lined up.

I domt understand the last part. Fo we HAVE to put the chute on the side if we are using the mulch bag?
No, you can use either or the bag to collect the clippings or the chute on the side to mulch.

Had the exact same problem with the throttle cable. Doesn’t make sense. How much oil did you use for the initial fill?
Use about 18oz, also i had to put zip ties where the cable jacket end as the the little plastic piece comes off easily.

crap I just did the same thing... have not emptied.. manual says there is a plug.. I see no plug.. did you simply tip it to empty it out?
