Well, Shockwave attacks are adrenaline inducing. Besides, I love it if bosses encourage you to jump more instead of rolling all the time. That is one of the reasons why Godfrey is one of my favourite fights in soulslike
True. Sadly the vanilla SFX didn’t amplify the sound of the arena-wide shockwaves and the eruption attacks so I kinda had to manually edit it to make them sound even more powerful
Well she is hoarah loux's daughter: hoarah loux/Nepheli loux and if you do her quest you learn that gideon took her from her parents or something like that and used her for his plans, she is born in the badlands i believe Even in the game there there is an item that i dont remember that say that he had a girl while he was in the badlans with all the tarnished

His channel has posted a 2nd even crazier overhauled version of the bosses, but he said he cant update it yet because there are a lot of bugs. Would like to see you fight the mohg in this mod, because he's clearly the modders favourite boss, and he's pain incarnate here🤣.
I see. Personally Godfrey is easily my favourite fight and I’m really glad the mod author made a fight that amplifies the adrenaline rush I had initially when fighting Vanilla Godfrey

The rain and the changing sky is such a missed opportunity for not adding it to the original game it genuinely made it feel more cinematic and exciting this is definitely the way it should have been especially with making his hits feel like an earthquake
Agreed. Though I personally feel like it’s a bit awkward considering that right before the cutscene where Godfrey phase transitions to Hoarah, the sky instantly changes back to normal. But otherwise, I love how rain is added during Regal Roar/HL Earthshaker as a cinematic factor in displaying the First Elden Lord’s strength
@@thebluehood35 yeah it is awkward how it transitions but then again it is a mod not official differently could be adjusted to just being to phase 4 or maybe even horah louxs phase cuz it’s such an awesome addition, also earthshaker is just (chiefs kiss) so good in displaying his true strength and also making the fight way more exciting

It's not lore accurate enough until they make every footstep create a massive shock wave 😂 Should have brought back the two health bars from version 1.00
Nothing with this mod feels wrong. Everything with the mod feels right. A prime example of an A+ mod which stays true to the source yet makes nothing but improvements here and there.
If I was good at modding , I would have liked to make a version of godfrey that starts in regal / earthshaker mode in both phases (his shockwave mode) and he causes the shockwave with every attack and every motion (dash/ swinging the axe above his head before a strike/ dragging it/ his arm flailing combo/leg sweeps etc) - and the attacks that hit the ground (those which cause a shockwave in this mod) would cause two shockwaves(so you cant roll through it) and the earth eruption move. That would be a difficulty befitting the first elden lord- although it would be near impossible to fight him melee without reforged's perfect deflect/ any perfect block mechanic.
I personally had a mod idea for Godfrey & Hoarah but I currently have a pretty stacked schedule so it’s gonna be hard for me to find the time to learn ER modding (I’ve modded a game before but it’s more like making custom enemy placements or standalone weapons). But yeah, if I were to mod Godfrey, I plan on making Phase 2 and 4 even harder by adding some custom combo strings, like using the jump slam as a follow-up attack (Also buff his HP to the 30K range at NG; so I’d be adjusting his HP depending on the NG cycle so NG+7 Godfrey would have approximately 42K HP). Phase 1 and 3 remains the same. Regal Roar and HL Earthshaker activates at 85% and 45% HP respectively and the HL phase will be triggered if Godfrey reaches 60% health. Also I will be adding a “Desperation Phase” (Phase 5) at 15% HP where I would make him immune to sleep, speed up his posture break animation to the point where you can’t riposte him, and then add in some elements outside of his bossfight that make sense to amp up the difficulty. Also yeah, I’d also add in some inspiration for this mod where Godfrey’s Phase 2 spinning slams and Axe Throws = arena wide shockwaves, his other ground touching slams having the cone shaped or small shockwave depending on which attack and also HL’s Phase 4 + Desperation Phase where every single slam based attack = arena wide shockwave.
I guess that’s what the mod author intended; the screen shake at least. I’m mostly working around editing voicelines to make custom roaring sounds using existing voicelines that I extracted during the editing of the video but still, thanks for the input I suppose

I find it a little lame that he straight up spams it at phase 1.5, but it’s manageable.
