Very nice new unit! I will say however I think you gave up on the ProCharger too quick. Power options are essentially endless with them. Either way I wish you luck with it and can’t wait to see the numbers 😎🤘
Well they say dat the one you had on produces more power on the bottom end. Yeah i have the 2.9 whipple on my 2011 camero ss and i think she pretty fast. I have all the supporting mods plus cam, headers and an exhaust system that will blow yo mind. The numbers came back low on mustang dyno. Only at 6200 rpm. But its much faster then the numbers. But let me add the whipple has did something to my Transmission, it goes into a lip mode like you put the car in neutral. Its in the hospital now wit the doctors running tests. But other then that she was hitting like a beast
I never heard of a pro charger running hot the way you described it and as far as upgrading your head unit you can use the same brackets so it’s much cheaper you have people running 1000 hp to 1500 hp on the D1X and the F1 a 94 It’s the Whipple that sits on top of the motor but after a few runs will heat soak extremely more than a pro charger would you’re the first one I’ve ever heard say that

I have a ‘17 ZL1 and was checking out the 2.9l Whipple supercharger. They said 125rwhp with a tune to a stock LT4 motor. Interested to see what you get out of your car. And it your heating issues are resolved with this setup.

love the video waiting to get my camaro to start doing car vlogs as well, building changes, im going from a mom car to a actual nice car, saving every bit i can to avoid payments and get me off the lot. So I wanna say thanks for all the incite on camaros I know its gonna help me soon.
And would still have a slower car that needed work on it. Its called a hobby and having fun. Why buy the most expensive version when you can build an SS racecar for cheaper.
LethalGarage no offense but I highly doubt your car will out perform a z06 or ZL1 due to their suspension set ups alone. You may go faster In a straight line but In the curves you’re going to still get smoked. But if straight line is your thing then I get your point. Personally I like a car with better handling capabilities.
You would be shocked on how this car launches from a corner. Mag ride and BMR are awesome. I can probably hold my own vs a ZL1, but the ZL1 1LE... probably not.
LethalGarage also what about the rest of your powertrain, is it upgraded or stock? If it’s stock sooner or later you’ll be buying a transmission and most likely a differential as neither was designed to handle the power you’re making. A Zl1 / Z06 both have power trains built to handle the horsepower they produce. I’m a 20 + year master ASE tech and have seen people destroy their transmissions and differentials because they built an engine with way more power than the rest of the car was designed to handle and things constantly break. I get that it’s a hobby though.

Since you had the intake manifold off, how did your intake valves look? Any noticeable carbon deposits?

Nice, you will not regret the twin screw supercharger over the procharger. All that down low power now.

Would you still avoid the Procharger for a street car with lower power goals than yours ? Say stock bottom end and 550-600rwhp?

Last I checked the car does great in the 1/4 mile. It’s what it is now built for.
