I have been waiting for this review. Nice one. Just some correction. The Golf R competes with the Subaru WRX STI and Audi S3(In fact S3 share the same engine with Golf R) while Golf GTI competes with the Subaru Levorg, Subaru WRX (The one without STI perfomance) and with audi A3 (2.0-liter turbo).

@@nathanmunene5134 Levorg is down almost 30hp power and 50nm torque vs mk7 Golf R. Then add VW DSG magic…seems different leagues as you say. I’ve not driven a Levorg but I know VWs well - the sprint of the R and it’s sister cars using that drivetrain is stunning - easily under 5secs to 100kph in real world. As for long term daily use in Kenya I would be interested in a comparison of the two.
