A lot of people recommending to people to NOT buy this phone. This phone isn't for YOU. Regardless of its outdated design it's still a really solid phone. Also knocking on the screen size...some people just want a smaller phone. We don't want to be holding tablets.

Amen brother. The iPhone SE 3 is thin and light, has a full square screen (with no notch) and fits in your pocket. That’s why brought it. I can’t stand newer iPhones because of how ridiculous big they are. There’s a market for everyone.

My son (senior in college) ruined his phone (iPhone SE) yesterday …doing fence work in the rain.
I told him I’d buy him a new phone…he said he wanted the same phone…money wasn’t an object. He’s very practical and isn’t into gaming, social media etc. I bought the SE with 128GB.

Some of the supposed ''issues'' with this phone are dubious. You talk about the OLED screen being better than LCD. On my 75 inch TV at home, i agree. But on my little 5 inch iphone? Paying extra money for OLED on a tiny phone is insane. For most users, camera technology is more than enough on the SE. Almost no one will see a photo from an SE, and wonder if it was taken on a lesser phone. The only real thing i can see as a concern might be the battery life. But for what you save in both size and weight, plus that extra 170 dollars that you act like is nothing, might make the SE a great choice.

    • @50Steaks68

The real argument isn’t the iPhone 13. It’s the iPhone 11. For less money (currently going for around $200) you get better cameras, display, and battery life. Yeah sure you’ll be missing 2 years of software updates compared to the SE 3 but it’s a good trade off at the moment

I'm an apple fanboy and every YEAR I only wanted the "top iPhone of the year" But then I realized, as a common person, a student actually, how little I use "pro" feature, I don''t need a 4K PRO RES GIGA MAX ULTRA WIDE CAMERA to film my friends being stupid, I don't need a 47 megapixel front camera, because I'm not going to take photos for a portfolio, but for instagram and memories. And plus, my iPhone 13 Pro is really heavy, is big and I can't use it with just one hand, And I payed a LOT for it. I'm watching this video because I don't need a pro phone and I have to convince myself that the best tech spec phone would maybe not be the best for me, as we always want to buy the best we can. SO when you say "for 170$ more you can buy a 13", you are not getting the point of the SE :)
PS: I would chose SE even just for Touch ID.

The problem with modern technology behavior is that you can't make such kind of reviews after real time use since when you have the clip, the company already released ten new models. This is the right review, not the one talking about the specs of the new phone right after 1 day of usage. Nice job!

As a lifetime android user, the SE3 is my first iphone and I am using it since 2022. All those android phones I had was literally brick sized (6.5 inches+) which never fit into my pocket, so they always occupied one of my hands. I had doubts about its battery life and after 2 years, I still carry a slim 10.000 mah powerbank in my backpack, even though its battery never died on me before I get back home. Besides the battery, because of the bezels, the screen size is so small and it is a problem on reading, typing, checking at photos etc. I wish they could make this phone without bezels but keeping the same size, just like the previous X series. Other than that, A15 processor is such a great hardware that they used for 13 and 14 series, so I had no complaints about its speed and multi tasking. Speaking of multi tasking, touch ID works like a charm but that home button is not as convenient to press twice to get the app drawer every time. I am not thinking about upgrading my phone until they release SE4, hopefully with same size without bezels. TLDR, buy it if you are a light user and all you need is a compact one hand use phone, preferably if you have small hands.

Personally, I'd still get the SE. I have small hands. I like Touch ID better than Face ID. I like that LCD not only can contribute to better battery life compared to OLED, but also the fact that LCD will not cause image burns like OLED does. If I want a better camera, then I'll get a camera. And for a budget phone that has a flagship processor, and will continue to get iOS upgrades, fine by me. Also, same Apple software experience as the flagship. And the other thing regarding battery life -- turn off 5G if your plan does not have it. But if you decide to upgrade to a 5G plan, then you'd be ready by then, and not have to buy another phone.

I have the SE ‘20, works great for me. But I’m the low key smartphone user. I like small, compact iPhones and that home button / Touch ID works great. SE works for me but not everyone. I don’t mind the bezels but I am glad apple made these devices for people like myself. I’ll get the SE ‘22 after the ‘20.

Call me crazy but I use this phone primarily for making telephone calls. I also needed it for the dual sim option. All the rest is extra. It fits in one hand, I barely notice it in my pocket and if I wish to play a game I have a desktop PC at home.

I think it's a great phone. I don't spend hours playing games and watching videos. The small size reminds me of the way phones started out, as mostly PHONES. I love it, you may not, it all depends on what you do with your phone all day. Thanks for the video.

I purchased the SE 3rd gen in March 2022 when it first came out. My iPhone 7+ was super slow, and I didn’t have the money for anything more expensive than the SE 3rd gen. I honestly really like it. The photo quality is better than the 7+’s, even if it isn’t as good as some of the more premium iPhones. To this date it’s still way faster than my 7+. The smaller screen size definitely took some getting used to, and while typing my fingers would often hit the wrong keys. Definitely a solid option for those on a budget but still want a functioning iPhone. The only downside is that although it supports Bluetooth 5, 5G, eSIM, nano-SIM, and Wi-Fi 6, it doesn’t support the Bluetooth Low Energy that AirTags use for precision tracking (which the 13 mini does). You can still set up and use AirTags, and all the features work EXCEPT for one, which is the feature where the phone points to where it is with an arrow, and gives an estimate of how far away it is. When looking for one I usually just press the “play sound” button, which makes it beep. However, if you are in Korea where many of the AirTag features already don’t work, having another one that doesn’t work may be annoying.

I don't see OLED as superior display technology. OLED screens suffer from burn-in. An LCD screen will look good-as-new (literally) for the entire life of the phone. I would pay extra for an LCD phone screen vs. OLED. The last thing I want to worry about is my phone screen wearing out.
Also, yes, newer iPhones have bigger screens, and they look impressive, but once you subtract out the space taken up by the notch and the home bar, the actual increase in usable space is not what you might expect.

  • @JohnJohnson-jm8ku
    @JohnJohnson-jm8ku 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

I thought about getting this to stop me from spending too much time with my phone. Display is so tiny that it doesn’t tempt you to spend any more time with the phone than you absolutely have to. Therefore the battery life wouldn’t be a problem. The price of that phone however is a problem. It should be a 299€ phone, maybe 350€ max.

I love this combination and I don’t need to waste time with gaming and act like I need ultra camera. So far with any phone, I’ve never had to say sorry because my camera didn’t have a better resolution. So get it if your needs are met with a portable tablet.

That’s the big selling point is by the iPhone 13 for a better iPhone experience when the whole purpose of a cell phone would be the entire purpose of why the SE exists 😅 if you are looking for a budget phone and we are trying and not use a lot of social media get the iPhone SE. I just looked at the whole phone market with how expensive they are as a scam because it’s a way to keep people on social media. Having a smaller phone with a smaller screen in general like this phone has helped me get away from that and focus on living life instead of having my face squished in my phone all day wasting my life

The most underrated phone in the world , The screen isn’t that small and it’s so colourful, high quality and has perfect color accuracy it actually looks similar to other iPhones in term of color, I don’t see any difference at all but the resolution , it’s really good for gaming I play Warzone mobile on it and post it in my channel, people in facebook always asks me about my device for how good it is , the camera is also more than great especially the back one it takes the best pictures this phone is perfect for its price and still have updates and super smooth , blazing fast , these reviewers don’t have the experience to talk about that , as they just say “it’s a small phone and not full screen “but that’s the purpose of the phone people already know that, take my advice if you are on a budget and want an iPhone this is the best one , if you have more money, don’t go below the iPhone 13 because 13 and up are the best lineup
In conclusion get a device with A15 Bionic and up cause they are really powerful for performance and camera quality
