      Winterfell me? Yeah, I have a license. And it won't be revoked cos I actually know how to do shit and not get caught. If you're gonna do something illegal, do it right. Don't get me wrong, I know that shit can go south but I've been cut off, tailgated, nearly hit, and pretty much everything else that should be looked after more. And FYI, what I said before was dry humor. My license wouldn't be taken away for that but congrats for being an uptight idiot

      Also, in traffic jams on the highway! Traffic starts to move, but many asshole drivers don't get going because they're looking at their phones! Result....even worse traffic jams. I drive a tractor-trailer and see this daily. I can confirm that the worst offenders are youngish women. A message/recommendation to all drivers== if you see this crap, blow your horn immediately. Watch the reaction as the startled offender looks around frantically trying to figure out what's going on. Hint: it's more effective, and often induces the offender to put their phone down, if your vehicle has an air horn!!

    All the people complaining are the ones that text and drive. This is probably some of the most efficient, and cost-worthy police work possible. I'll take the police ticketing the guy that's going to write your car off from rear ending you while on the phone, over ticketing the guy doing 72 in a 60 ALL day.

    • @Solocat1
      @Solocat1 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't text and drive, ever. But I think that there is a better use for police than this. Like finding criminals and preventing crime, which they rarely do. I see cops do this and other crimes everyday and they don't get in trouble for shit.

    • @TwoGunz2008
      @TwoGunz2008 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      comm744 Yes but now a days you have zombie teens who are looking down at there phones more instead of looking at the roads. I have seen them get shocked that a car braked while in rush hour, cars missing roundabouts because they are looking at there phones. This is probably the dumbest shit they do where they nearly cause an accident look shocked for 1 second then go back on there phones it just shows those dumb shits don't learn at all. So bring out the points and fines then that might wake them up a little of course though mummy and daddy will pay the fine just like all the brand new white audis these 17 year olds get bought for them.

I couldn't believe it the other day, while I was waiting to cross the street (on foot) and the light turns all the cars go, except this one green Honda about 10 car lengths back didnt move. As she clued in that the light turned green, and drove by me I see her texting and looking down, almost rear ending someone (as she flew through the light to catch up to the cars). It's crazy!

    Phone driving is worse than drink driving imo. The drunk might be pissed out of his face but at least he's looking at the road and trying to stay on course. Start texting and you might as well throw a can of black paint over the windscreen and put a blindfold on at 50mph

    • @LordGryllwotth

      Public Transit services are owned by the government. So no. Just like they don't pay for the gas in their patrol veichles from their own wallet. The Government pays for it. In this case the Government takes the loss of a fare for the day on that one seat so the officer can ride. Just like many government buildings do not pay for trash collection from government owned trash services. In regions where trash is prvatley owned, they pay like everyone else. All you owuld do by making government pay government is create more tax burden by needing more accountants to track basicly, the left hand giving the right hand money when it doesnt have to since both hands belong to the same body.

    THANK YOU FOR THIS METHOD OF TAKING THESE IDIOTS OFF THE ROADS AND FINING THEM
    I AM A CYCLIST AND I CANNOT TELL YOU HOW MANY TIMES I HAVE NEARLY BEEN KILLED BY THESE IDIOTS,
    FOR MANY DRIVERS WHO TRY TO KILL ME,
    THEY NOW HAVE TO REPLACE A SIDE MIRROR .
    FOR NOT USING IT, AND FOR NOT SIGNALING

    Who DOESN'T know that texting while driving is just as stupid as drunk driving? The fines need to be WAY higher. Like in the thousands of dollars for a first offense. tens of thousands and loss of license for a year for 2nd and tens of thousands/perm loss of license for 3rd.
    For the idiots screaming that this is for revenue, you do realize you can shut down the whole thing by just.... wait for it..... NOT texting and driving.

    I have asked my mother to stop answering her phone while driving, but she ignored me. The other day a cop caught her, confiscated her iphone and gave her a huge fine. She called me crying hysterically (it was my old iphone so she was told to call me and tell me because legally it was my phone.) I told her it was about time, happy to lose the phone.

    I guarantee that anyone who complains about this tactic is themselves a texting driver, and they probably think they're entitled to do so and that "they can handle it, I'm not a danger." This is a great tactic, perfectly on the up-and-up, and I hope they catch a lot of people this way.

    In the UK police sometimes use Semi trailers to look down upon drivers using a mobile phone but they also catch a lot of other Semi drivers who know that they cannot be seen by normal police in cars and I love to see the look on their faces when they realise that they have been spotted.

    I member getting pulled over in Connecticut, officer comes up to my window while i was still talking on my cell and looks at me crazy. I'm from Dallas, was helping my bro move back home from up north, had no idea using a cell phone was illegal in some states. He let me go with a warning since I was so confused and amazed that such a law existed. I even told him, well since I have a Texas drivers licence and driving a TX registered car does it still count for me or am i exempt, he laughed but was not amused...

    Texting and driving is not the specific issue, it is DISTRACTED DRIVING. Checking notifications, checking messages, replying to messages, answering calls or playing with your phone in general, playing with the stereo, hands free devices, GPS devices, recording live video while driving or stationary at a stop light or stop sign and anytime your eyes are off the road is considered distracted driving and should be constituted into traffic laws and be treated as criminal offenses.

  • @liamwatson5125

    After spending 5 weeks in hospital, then 3 months convalescing at home on a hospital supplied bed by being taken out by a guy on his phone, this is a great idea. Personally though, they should have both their car and phone crushed - harsh? maybe but crush 10 a week and televise it, it may get the message home!
