Both keeping some of what made it cool and old and often adding your own new spin! Also love seeing creators that are environmentally aware and often use recycled parts in their projects.
You have to marvel at the amount of precision engineering that went into something as simple as a coffee grinder back in the day. Your restoration is fascinating to watch with amazing results.

Great work! Very nice to watch and see the coffee grinder come back to life! May I suggest that you purchase "flux" or "solder paste" for your soldering work. You will see that wires will soak the solder wire much better and bond much better with the counterside
I have an AEG coffee grinder that is a simular model to this one. The adjustmentknob is not doing any adjusting currently but I did not understand the mechanism behind it so I have not taken it apart to fix it. This video has helped me understand it better and I will try to fix it.
