Yes, plug and play. For better performance then tuning is required.
For slip-on there is no need for any tuning/Power Commander/Dynojet/Bazzaz, if you change the piping then it's recommended to install the tuning kit for better performance and fuel economy.
just fitted mine yesterday i took the baffle out and it sounds nice and deep now. thanks for your vid it helped with fitting!

Thank you so much. I or we (your fans) are looking forward to it. It's because I have just purchased a '14 ZX10R myself and I want to remove it myself. I am kinda unsure where to start. I don't want to pay for a mechanic to do it.
For this bike you have the option of changing the cat with a link pipe, for some others, you have to change to entire system. There's another video coming out soon for this bike, installing the link pipe.

Cool. The Akra on the 6R is not the same model as this, this one is the "shorty" version, if you want to put this on your 6R probably needs some custom link pipe and bracket to hold the exhaust.
There's another video where the link pipe is installed replacing the cat.

Zx10r is the fastest bike in its class. No doubt it. :-)
Can you guys do tutuorials on the zx6r ? like how put on a slip on exaughst or change levers kind of thing?

what kind of fender eliminator did you use? I like how the blinkers look built in!!
Those are the OEM lights. No fender eliminator kit used, just basically removed the fender, and job is done.

Do U need to have bike tuned after fitting the slip on akra? Besides sound will it actually gain power? How about the cat can U delete it without a tune on a 2013 zx10r
For slip-on only, tuning is not mandatory. Since the aftermarket exhaust is lighter, you will definitely get some performance gains. If you are going to modify the exhaust system by de-cat it's almost like a full system/free flowing exhaust, recommended to get a dyno run to check engine health/performance status and tune if necessary, either too rich or too lean. The dyno run tuner can advise you on that.
@@thesighbored what's a good slip on for the zx10r looking to buy 1 2010-2015 is in within my budget,looking to buy 1 with under 20_000ks could I add a slip on decat it buy a power commander and get it tuned? Would it go well? Full exhaust is rather expensive
@@solomon4933 Slip-on depends on your preferences in style and sound, I'm not sure about the prices though. Probably can try looking for a used slip-on to keep it under budget.
Yes you can de-cat the standard pipes and install a PC to tune it up, many have done that too..

Hey there pal i wanna ask i know that this thing has an electronic steering damper that when i turn this thing is kinda heavy when the engine is shutdown will it lighter when you turn on the bike? Thanks
If I'm not mistaken the damper will harden or soften according to the speed. The faster the bike is going, the harder it will become, and vice versa.
+TheSighBored i really dig this bike but the only thing that i didn't like is that the steering is heavy when the engine is dead , but it will lighten the steering when the engine is turn on right?Because i live in the city
I will need to ask my friend who rides one to give me more information about the electronic steering damper but as it is I believe that's how it works, hard when fast, soft when slow. So will be easy to turn, not heavy, when slow.

It's a local generic brand called CKW and it was a low speed slide, still better than not having any slider.

If you buy the Akrapovic header, it can plug and play to this exhaust, provided you get the link pipe too, because the cat is inside the stock header.
I have a 2012 with same exhaust. You running a Power Commander? If so, what map are you using?
The owner didn't install any tuning kit, he has since sold the bike, so not sure about it.

Do you still have the power valve in the pipe? I think Akrapovic maintains the servo power valve at the pipe, so it opens up at higher RPM probably why you hear the sound "change". Otherwise what kind of sound are you talking about? Something loose? Metal vibrating?

Yes there is definitely full system exhaust for ZX10R i.e. Akrapovic, and other top brands.

Baffle = dB killer right? If yes, then it is OK to run without the baffle.. It is mainly for noise reduction.

Not really, it was a slow low side in a corner on the track, minor cosmetic damage plus a bent brake lever if not mistaken.
