Every time i see a 2nd gen ZX-10R in green, i think "I should have bought that instead of my R1" I know they are not considered the best 1000 from those years, but it looks gorgeous.
1st ,3rd and 6th gen here my first gen is the best to ride as of today no electronics or rider aids hands down a real bike

Gen 4 on up has rider aids. Also, there are only 6 gens, not 7 as this video describes.

1 st gen is the best looking one for me and my all time favorite bike hands down
After Riding Endless 1000cc bikes riding friends gen 1s and 3/4s I still always have a love for the gen2, being 6'3 the extra size and width made it feel dreamy to ride for me. mid range was superb which on the road is where you use the bike the most. I loved the looks with stubby cans on, an all time favourite of mine
Current Gen really grew on me I went and bought a 2022 !!! Best bike yet

@@isbeartlh weight ;) second thing gen 1 has 150 whp +- simple muffler 155 full exhaust 165 without mapping + ramair + 10hp on the road with simple mods you can get it to 180-190whp 200-210 crank with nice weight advantage. Slightly modified zx10 gen 1 does low 9s 1/4 so it`s still fast for a daily bike. And the engine is reliable.
Gen2 for me is best looking

To be honest, in 2005, I hesitated between r1 05 and the beast Ninja 1000cc from 05. As a 22 years old, I chose the R1 since the Ninja was for experienced rider. Now I am going to start with Ninja but I don’t like all the electronics and all the heavyweight coming with it. More power yes but more weight too. I don’t like this type of evolution. I learned how to drive without abs and any other help. Bikes were half the price back then and now it became tools that even brand new beginner can ride. Good for them but I am sorry the pleasure is not the same.

Owned a gen 2 and I've ridden gens 1 and 3 as well.. All were a blast on the track... But I thought gen2 had the best look, although it was a bit heavier. The latest model has really grown on me and if I have a good run at the casino next month I'll be picking one up

yeah i got one. magma orange torque sprockets dyno tune ppwer commander stabilizer shortened a link m4 sets. pretty fast

3rd gen is by far the best looking. In terms of performance, from gen3 all the way to current gen, they have the same bore and stroke, meaning, with the right modifications, they are all in the same ballpark of power.
Generation 4 would be the one for me, if I had to pick one, in overall looks and performance, even tho generation 2 looks really good as well. Thnks for the video. Cheers!!!❤👍👍
I’ve a gen2, had it for @5years and I drag race it now, always room for improvement if you’re handy with spanner’s, can’t see myself ever selling it 👍
1st gen had a pic of the 2nd gen dash. 102,xxx on my 05 would never sell it.

Muzzy side exhaust and removing the smog shit made my gen2 lighter. I put in race battery, bst cf wheels some pro bolts and remove a couple more nic naps and my gen2 zx10r is about 45-50lbs light than my 06 zx6r 636! Gen 2 handled better than the gen1 i rode also. Don’t sleep on the gen2 zx10r! If ya know how to ride it, it will beat the gen1! Work on ya skills

I love the 2nd gen, its my favourite, i think it looks awesome. But lots didn't like it, it copped the wheelbarrow name as someone else said, it also got a bit heavier, and the what weight was put on, was moved up higher. I don't care tho, Every time i see one in green, i want one.

La versione prima della mia, quindi la 2006/2008 ha giusto giusto un cavallo x kg, 175 kg x 175 cavalli, la mia 2010 ma del 2011 con scarico completo Ackrapovic centralina, filtro, controllo di trazione su 10 livelli, pompa freno radiale e altre cosine al banco ha 226cv all albero e 216cv alla ruota, un vero aereo, la porto in pista anke xke solo in strafa è uno spreco ❤

These numbers are off. The first generation 10R is still the lightest liter bike ever manufactured to this day.
These are the marketing departments figures anyway, the "dry weight" numbers the manufactures give are all meaningless bullshit. No one rides there bike with no fluids (oil, coolant, fork oil, battery fluid) even then stick a rider on and all their power to weight goes out the window.

Hi can the 2007 zx10r engine fit in 2008 zx10r?
I would seriously doubt it would be a straight drop in, the frame changed quite a bit for a start, anything can be made to fit, but honestly it would be easier just to find the correct engine for the year.

I watched one of those (it was called the ZX-10 here) nearly win the 88 Castrol 6 hour endurance race. The FZR1000 was the favourite, (and one did win it) but the ZX-10 was leading for most of the race until a botched pit stop and rear wheel change let the Yamaha take the lead. The race highlights are here on YT, although its in original "filmed by a Potato" format.
