Thank you for making this detailed and useful video. I also own a RE meteor and want to install Shad 39 litre top box. I also got the bandidos pitstop carrier rack and plate for meteor. I was just ordering the shad 39 when i came to know the shad base plate is bigger than bandidos carrier plate. will this lead to fitting problems between the shad base plate and bandidos carrier plate? any suggestions would be much appreciated. And btw your bike with the touring set up looks fabulous! 👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks for the complement....you might have to drill fresh holes in bandidos base plate. I did it myself as I had metal drill bit at home. It's minor DIY job.
just a suggestion. .the top box is too much outside the length of the bike. will affect handling and stability when loaded. i guess you have already installed but just try to load it lower than max capacity. or remove the backrest and move the top box inside a bit.
Thanks for the input mate... Yes I am cognisant of this fact. CG of the bike moves back and up if you load the top box heavily. This could cause stability issues especially during climbs in hilly terrains. Therefore I will be using this boxx only for voluminous but light weight things

I have used 3P universal mounting system from SHAD, as they don't make dedicated mounting system for METEOR. I had to get it modified with the help of a fabricator
I don't think it will be possible with bandidos pitstop rack. Probably you will have to get custom rack made from a fabricator. Also Centre of gravity of your bike will shift very back or Rear. You could have handling issues especially on upslope

Hi... I have done 80 kmph on this setup. The Bike is stable. Nevertheless it is best advised to be careful while riding with loaded topbox as CG rises and movement arm increases of the bike due to increased length of the bike. Also on inclines and up slopes you have to be watchful. Safe riding
