Wish the killabow wasnt once per army for the ability, as it really really limits the desire to want to take multiple. I feel our warscrolls will definitely get a change up during the update.
Seems like S tier should be more “you’d be surprised if it wasn’t included”. Because we do have some more niche lists where you don’t include a swampcalla… but it’s gonna be in almost all lists for now.
Yeah, it's hard. Almost nothing felt like a must have, which is nice.
Can you imagine if the hobgrots had their ability as a fight ability? Your opponents charge them, they disengage 3'' before fighting, comes your turn you throw the grenades, then come your opponents turn and he gotta charge your screen again?

I just wish some of the buffs in this army didnt have the infantry lock so my meme 5 drop trophy finga list would at least be fun while i was losing. Like the killaboss on foots buff would apply to companion weapons (I think???) which is the place you really want +1 to wound in combat, but no. Or the mashcrawla who seems like a perfect fit for the list cant buff his fellow mounted units with run and charge. :(
Gotta say, running Trophy Finga and just spamming monster cheese goodness is gonna feel real good!

I've been using random goblin and ork stuff that I like. Nothing specific.
Gobsprakk should go down a tier on points alone. Swampcalla with swamp staff is better for like 250 points less, and if you want a fast unit vulchaboss is far more effective. 380 is what he was worth last season with primal dice, he's got to go down at least 100 points before I consider him over our other options. Our top 3 heroes are Swampcalla, Sludgeraker, Vulchaboss imo.
C tier would've been nice for skumdrekk, hobgrots and gobsprakk actually. Skumdrekk is only good for hobgrots, but I think you only actually play hobgrots if you can't find 20 points for more monsta killaz. the sludgeraker poison ability isn't once per battle army too, so you can buff two units at a time, so I'd rather a second snatchaboss over skumdrekk anyway.
Killbow is an easy A tier for me, but only 1 can get the damage 6, so you only play 1. They hit on 4s yes, but they get +1 to hit if they don't move and a single killbow isn't terrible against non-monsters, just inconsistent with the damage 6. Rend 2 is very valuable this edition. I played it in a 1-dayer and it did significant work vs khorne and stormcast, and did decent chip damage against nurgle.
the Gnashtoof has one thing going for him that I don't think you're considering. His movement at 10" at his points cost makes him perfection for Battle Tactics. I'd suggest B tier for him rather than F. If someone doesn't care about the number of drops then the entire F tier changes. Murknob also has given a lot of play with the small objective size to weaken the opponent and boost defense.
Two Killbows as a NEED seems unreasonable. A single one gets the ability and it will boost the overall shooting potential by a lot. Saying they are situational seems a stretch when they do plenty well against an elite infantry thanks to the profile having 2 rend.
It's the drop thar kills him for me. He's not worth a drop.
@@MossDogAoS If we are running magic heavy we won't be winning the drop game so what does it matter? The Gnashtoof also allows for that turn one battle tactic if needed.

Would Murk Nob have any value if he was available as a bonus hero (like the killaboss on foot)? Also, What's the "right" cost for Monsta Killaz: 140? 150? I think even at 150 I'm still putting 1-2 units in.
I probably will never take a Murknob unless he doesn't cost a drop and is cheaper than Killaz.
No way skumdrekk is A. He's a lower B. Like you said Hobgrots got way worse. Together they can be ok, that's the definition of situational.
with the way point are in list building I just don't see ever putting this dude in.
@@rotm4447 I tried him. He failed epically. I had a unit of 20 hobgrots with him buffed up and they did take out a unit of Bullgors. But you're talking about 460 to trade into 360 points. And that was only because I got lucky enough to have Skumdrekk survive with like 2-3 health after getting hit by them first. If he dies the hobgrots are useless. They have to stay in his aura. His warscroll is Terrible in my opinion.

If the Hobgrotz take any damage from range or spells or impact mortals, etc, they just melt.
That's a serious problem. So if he's your second one, yes. Otherwise... probably not.

Hard disagree on the murknob. You put him behind the line of a brick of 20 guttrippers with the sludgeraker, and that 6+ ward will do some work with 40 wounds.
Fair. I didn't mention that. It's the drop that kills it for me.
@MossDogAoS I honestly don't think drops are that massive for kruleboyz. Kruleboyz want to go first for vemon encrusted weapon and most army don't so they don't have to deal with first turn battle tactics so either they are going to give you the first turn at which point you roll you big block in the middle and say come at me or they give you second which they didn't want to do and took low drops to have. Either way, it is a win-win.

Honestly I think that even bolt boys are not worth playing. Now that they can not mortal anny more there is so little use for them. Anny thing tough or annythin horde is just going to be better kileld by the combat infantry. And the boltboys range is just to short to threathen annything beyond the front lines. I would honestly take the troll over them cause it helps get the infantry into combat faster.
Not even close to true, bolt boys with sneaky tricks into rapjd fire range as priority target is very efficient ranged damage almoat anywhere on the board.
Loads of tactics can be denied finishing units off, or just taking an objective and still contributing.
Counter shoot also gives us more damage offturn.
