I feel Big Waaagh was the main reason why Orruks where bad in 3rd.
The concept of the BW was fun, and drives me to buy all three Orruks faction, until I realize that it was effectively 90% Ironjaws and 1/2 heroes from other warclan until KB have so much point drop that it was interesting to take some KB to increase footprints on the table compared to the highly costing Ardboyzs.
As BS treatment, I mostly disagree on GW moves for that army, they should have say in the beginning of the 3rd edition that BS will be removed at the end of 3rd, stop making them (so new players can't buy them, unless second hand), and made them ok tier so people owning them can enjoy them all along 3rd edition and got time to prepare another army for the 4th.
I already tell my story about BS, Got the whole range in April 2023 after a 5 month waiting, start buildin them in January, then in early March the announce drop they will be removed.
Hopefully Ironjaws and KB will be better in 4th as BW will be removed (I supposed).

Hoping that 4e gives KB some improvements going forward. A buff to Dirty Tricks, either getting more Tricks to choose from that are actually good, or fix the ones we have so it actually fucking matters what you take, since 99.9999% of the time, Disappearin' Act is the only one you really care about. That, or shamelessly steal BoC's ambush trait, so KB can be played the way they're SUPPOSED to be fucking played - as a sneaky, tricky, underhanded army - instead of this retarded castle formation you're forced into, because cramming all your units together to stay within your Swampcalla poisons and Sludgeraker auras is the only way you can reliably kill anything and not suffer a (more) humiliating defeat. So, you know, pretty much the EXACT OPPOSITE of a sneaky, tricky army.

Truth is at least from a battletome perspective third edition wasn’t consistently amazing.
From a skaven perspective you can at least say that it was good to great for winning games, till you notice the list that got played, the book the skaven got was also a total downfall.
Personally I’m happy that gw seems to be going away from the rule of three, and that the skaven as it currently seems to be can actually play the horde game again in fourth
