I agree @jzckvsn Mack and Intamin have the tech to do a turntable so I find it hard to believe Vekoma doesn’t have that tech or at least reach out to a company that can.
Thanks for the memories , how the park looked in the seventies when I was a kid not even 48 inches. Being on the highway and seeing the top of the big wheel over the trees as we approached the exit . It was the biggest place in the world to me at the time. It will be nice to see a refresh back in time. Now I’m a 6’ tall coaster junkie thanks to Great Adventure, and I’ll be celebrating my 51 st birthday at holidays at the park. Glad they have that now, coats and Coaster 😊
Great adventure is slowly becoming a resort park and I’m here for it. With adventure crossing and their hotels and now a safari resort, this is amazing.

Maybe SFGA can collaborate with premier to create a sliding track like on the Mr. Freeze clones so they can run two trains all the time. Zombie Ride had a sliding track so it allowed for two cycles per dispatch while the other train is loading. If Six Flags did not have any interest for a sliding track, maybe they should have asked Vekoma if they could have increased the cars per train to 8 or even 10 to up the capacity as much as possible.

Love to see all these improvements and I'm excited about the 2025 rumors as well, but do we think there's any chance El Toro gets a full retrack like Balder or Colossos? It was absolutely brutal this year coming back from the accidents.

I just moved to the northern New Jersey area and I've been visiting Six Flags Great Adventure a TON. I've felt incredibly fortunate to have a competent theme park so close to my home, and these new additions make me super excited for the future. Your channel has helped me appreciate it that much more.

I think the future outlook for Six Flags under Selim rests on the execution of SFGAd’s capitol next year. It has the potential to be absolutely amazing. But if it doesn’t turn out that way, that’s a huge cause for concern spending all this money and not having a good season
Great Adventure is my home park. One of my favorite pictures is of my mom and her best friend (still are friends today) outside the Yum Yum Palace in the late 70s. I'm really glad that there will be an effort to spruce up the park. It needs it.
I’m way more excited for Flash than I thought I would be when the rumors of a Super Boomerang popped up. The capacity will be terrible but honestly as long as it draws a massive line that keeps people outta of El Toro, Nitro, Kingda Ka, and JDC queues, that’s good enough for me.

I'd absolutely love for GAdv to get a permanent museum, but let's not model it like Town Hall at CP. We don't like museums that are plagued with asbestos lol
I loved the Town Hall museum... it was a great place to cool off on a hot day thanks to the AC and the history in there was awesome~
Having just visited Cedar Point for the first time in a decade and staying at one of the Lighthouse Point cottages to get two days of visiting in, I'm really interested in the pricing of the new on-site hotel and how affordable it will be. I've visited Great Adventure as part of my annual beach visit the last three years but I've been bummed how far away I've had to book hotels so I'm hoping it's not too bad both in terms of price and accessibility to the park.

I think it's great! with top thrill changing Kingda ka being down a week & El Toro having its rough past 2 or years.. i was about to fly over to jersey for my first sfgadv visit... but with such a cool vekoma coming.. im going to instead wait till next year and risk the two legendary rides having more issues. i hope i can ride those with the Vekoma:p
also i 2nd the notion of it being awesome to have an adult new-age Vekoma in America finally
I usually don’t care about capacity when looking at new rides. I usually care more about the actual ride layout and the forces it should exert. If capacity is dog crap and the payout of the ride isn’t good then you will only see me riding for the credit (Joker). However, if the ride is good like Flash is going to be, I will probably end up waiting for it often.
I'm not the biggest fan of the Double Sided locker system on Steel Vengeance and Twisted Timbers as it completely ruins the Fast Lane system at both parks, leading to me having to wait in the normal, slow moving line. As well as the absurdity of me having to take everything out of my secure cargo pockets and into lockers that slow down the line for everyone, and when said lockers break down (Which happened to Steel Vengeance a few days ago), they won't let ANYTHING in the line, forcing me to pay for a locker or have a friend hold my stuff, that isn't fair

The Northern Star Arena was pretty cool that one time I went to a concert there.

Six flags is still just as tragic as ever
Sadly, the Cedar Point Town Hall museum in Frontier Town is no longer. It’s renovation was scheduled to open in 2020, but Covid brought a halt to those plans and Cedar Fair subsequently auctioned off the contents of the museum. At CoasterMania in June 2023, Tony Clark was asked about the future of Town Hall and whether any museum would return, and he said they had no current plans for the space.
This year I noticed small placards though out the park with an old time photo and a small caption explaining the historical significance of the photo with relation to its location. There is also a QR code that can be scanned to download an app that his all the locations of the placards so you can take a self guided historic tour of the park. It's a pretty cool idea, it's too bad it wasn't available in 2019 or 2020 for their 150th anniversary
@@timk987 Those plaques were there in 2021, when they really celebrated the 150th (the 2020 celebration was somewhat stunted, for obvious reasons). They might have been up in 2020 also, but I don’t remember exactly. It’s a nice was to access CP history!
@@dianneketler7128 This was the first year I noticed them. Initially the plan was to renovate the Frontier Town museum and make it more about Cedar Point history. I can’t remember when, but I do recall Tony Clark saying the new plan was to integrate the history of Cedar Point through out the park. I don’t recall him mentioning how they would do that. Also I’m quite sure they weren’t up in 2020 because that’s when the had all the CP 150 qr codes throughout the park to win Gold passes for life and I’m pretty sure I would have noticed them, unless they only had a few and have added some over the past couple years.
I stand corrected. I just checked and the app for the tour was first released on June 30, 2020. It’s amazing how distracting the roller coasters can be!
Yeah. Doubling down on the demise of the museum. I miss it horribly. They auctioned off a lot of the contents. It was a great way to deepen your connection to the park while simultaneously taking a break from the chaos.
Right coaster, wrong park. It doesn't have the necessary capacity for a park of this size.
If they actually leave that path under the coaster open, I will be amazed.
Flash: Vertical Velocity is awesome .... but with only one train being used; long wait lines (unless they use a turntable/switch track like Premier Rides does for both Mr. Freeze coasters).
And sadly, May 11 2024 marks the 40th anniversary of the Haunted Castle fire (I don't mention this to be sensationalist; it's one of those 'Elephant in the Room' type deals that you really can't not think about/mention)

This coaster has been bought second hand from a failed chinese project just as the Intamin Ultra-Surf from the same failed park according to some people. And those lapbar restraints with those Harnasses attached to them, they go from 120 - 205 centimeters.
I'm so hecking excited. My mom, dad and brother went all the time before my mom left, then my brother wasn't a fan of Rollercoaster anymore so now its just me and my dad. I get to go to six flags for my band trip and I can't wait to see all the new upgrades thank you for this information

if the resort is not in walking distance, they should have a complimentary shuttle bus service to and from the park, if people don’t own cars.

Thanks Ryan for the update! By chance do you know anything else about the rumored 2025 coaster? If I was a betting man I would say it would be a b and m since six flags has started to work with them again, though I wouldn’t expect anything like a giga. My wild theory is another wooden coaster, but I think that it would need to be amazing with el toro and would prob be a more family oriented one. Keep up the great videos!
We need a winged coaster or our own proper RMC because Wild Cat’s Revenge is the type of ride we shouldn’t have to travel out of state for lol

What Great Adventure needs is a good, cheap hotel with park access, like what Cedar Point has though I wouldn't call Breakers cheap. There is a serious lack of good hotels in the area so Great Adventure needs to be a proper resort, though I think the Resort they're building is way too upmarket for Six Flags

Six Flags Great Adventure will get one of the best Six Flags roller coasters opening next year. But Wildcat or whatever the new coaster is at Great Escape.
I know SF is trying to rebrand itself and include families in its target demographic and although the new flash coaster isn't a true family coaster, it most probably will be a family-thrill ride. Most new-age Vekomas are actually more on the family side of things (except lech, that sh*t's crazy), especially when you consider the vest restraints. New Vekoma is fun and smooth but they are no Intamin or RMC...
What about the Skyride??

People aren’t this smart I hope I’m wrong but people will have to use Flash Pass so the lines don’t get ridiculous. I use Flash Pass so I’m not bothered
My father worked at Great Adventure around the time he met my mother, and from that time he had an old windbreaker with the rainbow Six Flags Great Adventure patch on the front. He unfortunately lost the jacket in a car accident (bad enough accident the jacket was cut when freeing him from the vehicle) but managed to save the patch, last I remember. I'm going to have to go visit Great Adventure next year to see if they have any of the retro styled clothing, because if I can replace that lost jacket with a new one in the same style, it'll be one of the few moments I'll pay for the overpriced memorabilia.

The flash will be great! Just wish they went the extra mile to just make is two of them and name it the Chiller because we all know that’s a trademarked Chiller roll elemant. Sort of feel like they spit in my face but it’s ok.
I just really hope that Six Flags thought through capacity for The Flash and some how make a thrntable or a sliding track so the ride can have 2 trains.
I wish they built it to he more symmetrical. I was really hoping they would make a giga version of the inverted boomerang.

I Saw This And Clicked Immediately.
Probably in the minority, but (unless it’s like a story-based attraction like Revenge of the Mummy or Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure) I was never a fan of coasters that have backward and forward launches in the same ride or moments where the train totally stops mid-ride and launches again (mid-course break runs are different because they don’t completely stop the ride).
I just think they kill the momentum and pacing (and that’s why I like VelociCoaster so much, there’s only moments where you keep going forward).
I hate coasters that go backwards, they always make me nauseous... Also there is no way Velocicoaster is that good

Yeah I don't remember what video I saw it in but audio clips one board members of great adventure saying that this was last minute deal, and they got it at price they couldn't turn down apparently
This park was really great back in the 90’s when Warner Bro and AOL owned it but now it’s just trash, rundown and overpriced. They ruined one of the most awesome parks in the country at the time.
As a local I’ve considered working to operate rides at Great Adventure. Can any other locals tell me if it’s a good and fun job to be a ride op at Great Adventure?
I never got the chance to work Ops at Great Adventure, but I know plenty of people who have/still work there and they enjoy it.

SFGA is my home park so with our 50th anniversary coning up i thought wow maybe we'll actually get a new top tier custom layout coaster. But Six Flags did even better. An off the rack Vekoma and a new logo is soo much better than anything i could have imagined (he said with heavy sarcasm)
