It is probably well-known that prior to this speech in a short space of time she lost her 1st husband, her sister and daughter (am I leaving anyone out?) and carried on. When she interrupted the Academy Awards on behalf of the displaced Palestinians by West Bank radicals in Israel she was reviled but history bears her out. My grandfather did not survive the holocaust and my mother was luckier but never a Zionist. I think it important to stand up and be counted in these matters and this is a voice worth listening to.
What a Marvelous woman indeed! Just wish the British nation had more such Caring and Compassionate women in their midst! She is a rare gem indeed as few British women cared enough about getting involved in the struggles for Indian Independence as well as the Nations of Africa and other Caribbean and Eastern European nations. Yes, I was shot at and lost allies; still, I was able to face the people that might have killed my folks and sit down with a cup of tea. Your perception of this whole murderous debacle isn't even 50% of what went down, let alone .01% of who is actually to blame for any of this.
