To even get to the Crazy 8 mud hole, you have to cross a couple of nasty gatekeeper holes. If your rig can't pull these, you may want to just hang out near the edge. This pit is no joke!

Is there any reason why they don't run 2 tractors backwards and 2 forwards so the traction is equal going either direction? I have run bloggers that way for years and it seems to let me go places no one else can..

I run 2 backwards in rear
justin sector 8 customz. Does it seem to help or hurt? Our rig gets around great with 2 backwards.. But we don't run farmers...
jim richey I find it helps and I can usually back out front tires clean out good in reverse and rears clean out good going forward

I have a couple of the questions. Why don’t mudders use diff lockers , I understand that you lose steering control but at the push of a button you can disengage the lock? Why don’t any of the big guys use winches?

the winch wont be too heavy, the truck will be too heavy for the winch to be effective..

If pretty much everything is already specifically built for these trucks... why don't they use portal axles? Wouldn't they make a HUGE improvement in deep mud - because then you wouldn't have to drag the axle THAT much through it?!
onetirefire1 doubt they make something that can handle the power and tires these trucks run.
That is a good question if something is made like that I doubt it will work if was built properly

@@khfaith52 like dig a hole? It makes sense. I've seen a few race vehicles that ran big too fuel style blowers on built diesels and they looked like they were trying to spin the planet vs accelerate forward.
So I understand not running the front locked up... but why didn't that green Ford have the rear end locked up?

I’ve read some people prefer a front lock and rear open. I have no experience with this. I run rear locked, but do see the argument

He could have a busted locker or a broke axle or any one of number of problems. Typically people who drop this kinda money on a truck don't overlook things like that.

Diesels are torque monsters, it's called gearing little Timmy, guys who run big wide tires like that run lower gears so they don't snap axles left right and center. If you pay close attention you'll notice that 99% of the guys who turn um fast have skinnys on. Now yell for Mommy to bring you a hot Pocket
