- I had the opportunity to attend the first (and unofficial in the United States) Sonic the Hedgehog Convention on November 5-7 2010. I was able to get a few snippets of various panels, this one in particular, Jason Griffith's panel. Unfortunately,I wasn't able to record the entire segment, but I believe I recorded the best parts. Enjoy and I will upload a few more panels of Sonicon 2010 in a few more days.

Jason Griffith was the true voice of Sonic.

In my perception, Jason's portrayal was absolutely perfect for Sonic. Roger has a really nice, charismatic voice but I think it's just not accurate for Sonic's personality.

Yes! He did reprise as Shadow in Sonic and Tails R and I hope he'll voice Shadow again because Shadow appeared during the mid-credits of Sonic the Hedgehog 2. So hopefully, Jason will voice Shadow in the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie. And then maybe Jason will reprise as Tom Majors in Chaotic because the show is coming back.

Jason Griffith Is Absolute True Best Sonic Voice Actor Of All Time & My Favourite. He’s The One Who Should’ve Voiced Sonic For Some 2010 & All Other Sonic Games To Current Sonic Games.
You Can’t Replace Jason He’s The Only Best Sonic Actor Of All Time & Nobody Else Does The Best Job At Voicing Sonic Other Than The Awesome Brilliant Legendary Jason Griffith.
Watching this again because Jason will make his convention comeback since Sonicon 2010. I hope he'll attend NyanCon at Lakeland Community College in October 2023 (the date may get changed depending on the date and time), which is on the first (or 2nd) Saturday of October. The last time NyanCon was held was in June 2022 (because of a possible pandemic infection).

i want to be a voice actor like Jason Griffith and Roger Craig Smith, so i mimic what i here not the exact voices (because i'm not the best impressionist but i could voice a new character who does not have a set voice, because i understand the expression and feeling in each voice i critical to a great voice actor) but i try to put the same feeling and emphasis into the voice by copying the movements of the character at that moment so i can know what it is like to be and to understand the character (and now i use my hand to speak, all the time) i also mimic my friends movements so its funny when i get the reaction of either happiness or annoyance but i keep going i really hope to voice a cartoon character for a job (voice actor) (it would be awesome if i worked for Sega when i'm older!!!!) EPIC JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now with Sonic the Hedgehog 3 on the way after we saw a teaser of Shadow during the Sonic The Hedgehog 2 credits, I am so hoping for Jason to come back as Shadow because his impression would sound more edgy and gothic-like. I’m going to be completely honest,when I heard roger crag smith for the first time I just thought Jason had a cold or something and when I played sonic generations for the first time (I was 8 so keep that in mind)I thought sonic had a rock stuck in his throat,and now I look back at that and I think “wow I really thought that?”
