Hey guys. I have been watching your series together with my wife and son as we prepare to relocate to NZ at the end of the month. It's so great to see all the opportunities that lie before us as we return to my home and begin our new life in NZ together. I'm from Nelson myself so it's great to enjoy all the beauty my corner of the world has to offer! Thank you so much for all this good stuff.
Secluded living is entirely possible with the right life partner because with them, every day is an adventure regardless :) I loved that hike and the scenery was incredible. The dinner looked pretty cool too, especially with those views! As for 12:26 - no words required!
Since getting through all your videos from the very beginning I enjoyed getting a notification for a new one. I was going to start from the beginning and watch random videos again if not, very informative and interesting
I'm always in such awe of people who live in remote communities such as the ones you talked about. Life feels so fast paced living in London and even the idea of not having something like a dishwasher makes me wonder where I'd get the time needed to hand wash. The idea of having to stock up on food, be that organised when doing a supermarket shop etc. just feels crazy! That A frame cabin that you stayed in was so cute! I can not wait to do this hike myself - the sounds of the wildlife were beautiful in this video ❤️❤️❤️
Your production and editing has gotten better and better since we first discovered your channel years ago. Wonderful series. Agree with the previous comment, we need the origin story of your lovely relationship. Keep up the great work!
What a stunningly beautiful place. And I continue to be amazed at how effective you guys are at avoiding crowds. You always seem to have places to yourselves! And what a place to have a beer and pizza. Hiking, beer, pizza, great accommodation...epic day! Thanks again for bringing us along!
We do have pretty good luck most of the time. This time I think it was because the weather wasn't the greatest so might have put others off, but not us!
Oh my, this popped up during our lunchtime. What to choose for lunch after seeing your lovely video is our dilemma of the hour. Wonderful video guys, looking forward to the next in the series.
Great video as always. Had to laugh at Stacey reading the menu hours before she needed to, that's exactly what I do! One always needs to be prepared, even for food.
😂 The worst is when you read it, get your heart set on something, then the menu is different when you get there! Glad I'm not the only one who does this.
@@DanegerAndStacey like others have said, loving the NZ content but also keen to see similar roadies in others too now borders are starting to open. The mind boggles with where to next. Tropical North Queensland? Western Australia either up from Perth or down through Margaret River and beyond? Tassie with the direct flights? Oh how we’ve missed travel!
Stacey, I never turn down pizza! My people haha, Stacey you're like the best ever at finding these off the beaten path accommodations! Love it, I enjoyed the wine tour by bicycle video. However, I had a bad experience once riding a bike right after a trip to the pub. Let's just say, Bandaids and aseptic were used. And Dane likes his boots, I always bring flip flops to put on after a hike so your feet can relax a bit. Great video as always. Safe travels, cheers!
Haha Stan the maaan! We're on the same page when it comes to pizza for sure. Oh noooo that doesn't sound like fun, you'll have to do the wine bike tour we did to rewrite the story!
We've done some pretty incredible things all over the world but a free hike through some epic scenery is still up there with one of our fave things to do!
can you guys pls make a video on your love story how you met and all that if you dont mind. i think you both are the most connected and understanding of one another travel couple out there.
Well this place certainly has the wow factor! Fine dining too. Yes I could live there... it would be a struggle - lovely people, wonderful food, amazing scenery, great wine, little or no pollution... yep a struggle ;) But I reckon I'd manage :D Lovely vlog!
Awesome guys. Looks gorgeous! The longer the walk the better. Such a nice "shnack" location en route. A question if I may. In your opinions, where is the nicest place to live in New Zealand North Island. Looking at it from a perspective of someone who is a lover of the outdoors, hiking, growing their own veggies, and dislikes intense humidity (in the sense that you don't have to watch out for mildew 😆), used to a fair amount of sunshine and yeah... ?
Anywhere near the coast around Coromandel,it has beaches and hills, with tracks all over the place. Or Taupo,Mt Doom is on the far end of there. Basically anywhere you go, you're never far from beaches or mountains in New Zealand. The bigger the city, the more it costs to live there.
I would add Matakana/ Warkworth with it's food markets and beaches (1 hour approx north of Auckland). Also Whangarei and the Tutukaka coast (2 - 3 hours north of Auckland). And maybe even Raglan a surf town 1 hour approx from Hamilton City. Or further up north like Kerikeri which is in the heart of the Bay of Islands ( 3 - 4 hours approx north of Auckland). Another goodie is Tauranga City and The Mount area, If in the South Island I would recommend Nelson City which is close to Moetueka/Golden bay/Kaiteriteri etc......
@@Toucan432 Thanks lol, so basically anywhere in NZ 😉. Honestly anywhere we get the opportunity to work and live will be more than perfect, but if we have a choice we decided a long time ago that just outside of Hamilton seems perfect, even though a lot of people say it is quite humid 🤷🏻♀️... . I doubt it is anywhere as humid as where we are currently.
Oh, what a pleasure to wake up to this video. You both gave a really happy vibe to my morning with this beautiful video. Love you both ❤️❤️❤️ On a side note, are you gonna meet Jess and Stephen as they arrived in here?
You really couldn't get much better than this, but like you guys,I only did a portion of the track, due mostly to time constraints, but would love to do the complete walk one day...maybe

Nothing like some beautiful views of NZ to make up for a cold, wet Tuesday morning in Glasgow. :)
Happy to bring you some sunshine and good vibes 😊
Once again you have brought the heart of NZ to the world
So happy you think so 😊
I am enjoying this series so much, the scenery is off the chart and the filming really captures it. thanks x

Pleased you had a great time on the track and all the best for future travels.
I’m glad no one unliked the video yet, I would’ve personally lost it if I saw one. Contents like this deserves all the best things in life ❤️

This was beautiful! Agree with Dane! The sounds of the sea is beautiful! 🌊 never mind the gorgeous views!

My grandparents did this walk and stayed at the lodges too and loved it! Watching you guys do it and actually seeing it explains why 🥰🥰 love this vid!
So cool you got a glimpse into what they experienced. Would you ever consider doing it?

You’ve done it again guys! Another walk to add to my ever growing list of things to do in NZ. Keep enjoying 😊 Katie
Happy to hear this! We're hoping to add even more to your list in the future. Maybe the Tongariro Crossing next 😊

This hike was one of my highlights during my 3 months stay in 1998. The accomodation I stayed in was a lot impler and cheaper though!!!!

Aw you're the best, thank you! Hope you're well 😊
What brand of hiking shoes are you both wearing?
We're wearing The North Face (not sponsored or anything) we genuinely love them! So comfy!
I have two weeks time off to take by 12/31/21. Hope New Zealand opens for tourist by then
We've got our fingers crossed for you!
I agree, a beer at the bar would be my first choice after walking for 4 hours!!!!
It was a no brainer for me! Although I did accidentally order an alcoholic ginger beer instead of a cider - not my favourite!
Stunning sights!
Can't beat the Marlborough Sounds!
That picnic table (min 9:44) *thumbs up*

Couldn't agree more!
Does this section involve any really steep bits? Easy walking?
It's all pretty easy walking to be honest, moderate hills but they're very short. NOTHING like Abel Tasman etc.
Yum,that Hapuka, second best Fish in NZ.
So good!
Next time , you guys really need to go to Mahana Lodge. It is an amazing place and is only 10 minutes from Punga Cove =)

That sounds like a dream! Maybe in the summertime - we were hoping to do some kayaking/paddle boarding but the weather wasn't having it!
