I had a watch party online with this movie ( always loved it ) and a guy told me he met his wife thanks to this movie. He asked someone at Blockbuster to give him any romantic movie and got this, went to his first date with her to watch it and they both cried, even had the beach boys song at the wedding and had their first dance to Over the rainbow. They're still together and he still has the blockbuster copy of the DVD ( he never returned it ) and watch it every anniversary.
I still talk to him every now and again and love his story

The man who sang the version of "Over The Rainbow" at the end was a Hawaiian man named Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. He died in 1997 at the age of 38 due to respiratory failure. He had a beautiful voice.

Ya know, them painting over her mural every night reminds me that, every time you paint a room, it gets just a tiny bit smaller. I wonder how many layers of paint it would take for it to be measurable.

Just found this channel to watch 50 1st dates reactions Liked your reactions to this movie keep them movies as you do classic reactions. I don't know if you like it when people suggest movie reactions since this is my 1st comment on your channel but if you do I will suggest the 1995 movie Angus it's with James Van-der-Beek's 1st movie role as Rick Sandford as the high school bully. This movie has also Kathy Bates , Chris Owen, George C Scott, and Ariana Richards if interested.
If you haven't seen it, you have to react to Prince of Egypt. Another great one is Megamind. If you wanna do an excellent 80's fantasy movie, watch Labyrinth. Of course, idk if you have seen these movies, but if not, those are my recommendations for now. 🥰

This movie is truly a gem; thank you for this reaction. If you loved Adam and Drew in this film, I must recommend these other films, The Wedding Singer and Blended. Another film that’s similar to this plot that’s based on true story is very good as well; it’s called The Vow. I agree that the lesson is if you find love don’t let it go, but don’t take it for granted. You never know how long you have with it. Also other amazing romcom films I must recommend is Fools Rush In, Sweet Home Alabama, The Proposal, and Red, White, and Royal Blue.

Thank you for watching!! This movie was sweet, love a good Adam Sandler movie hahaha. OH! I think I remember seeing The Vow when it first came out, was that with Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams?? I don't remember much details but I remember the title for sure! Love the lessons from this movie, you summed it up perfectly! We haven't seen any of those suggestions, apart from The Proposal!! (Which actually, I have seen it but Ty said he's never seen it! That's such a good one!) Great options! Thank you!!!!!

Family Affair Fact: In an early scene, a dentist and a woman in the dentist's chair are seen talking with each other. The woman playing the dentist is Jackie Sandler, Adam's wife, and the woman in the chair is played by Linda Segal, Director Peter Segal's wife, who is a dentist in real life.
Location Location Fact: The diner where Lucy (Drew Barrymore) has her breakfast every morning was originally a house that was remodelled for the movie. It is located on a macadamia nut farm on the eastern side of Oahu. The same house was used in Tears Of The Sun (2003) and scenes from Jurassic Park (1993) were filmed in the open fields nearby.
