Please please please make a video on the different types of shaft materials available on a speargun. It is very essential to know the different materials and their durability as well as strengths. Not to forget their specific uses. There is not a single video on the entire TH-cam platform mentioning the various types steels that are used for shafts available in the market.

I'll see what I can do. I will have to commit some time to research as I am not an expert on all the various shafts on the market.

You have two options...do it yourself or send it to a spear shaft shop. If you are going to do it yourself, use a brass or aluminum hammer, place the bent area on a flat surface (i suggest wood because it won't damage the shaft) and start trying to pound out the bend. It will take a bit of work but it can be done.
If you are going to send it off, and you live in the US, send it to Spearcrafters in at 4083 7th Terrace South, St Petersburg, FL 33711. They usually charge around $30 to straighten a shaft. I just send mine to them.
