This really helped me and I am only 16 years old I hope you get somewhere in life this really really helped me and I appreciate it man keep up the good work gave you a like on the vid and I subscribed to your TH-cam channel once again thanks man for everything
I have over 250 videos and every single thing I need to do to my Jeep I try to video and record in detail so more to come I have a bunch I need to add it maybe about 20 new videos lol.
Thanks so much for sharing this. I performed this operation yesterday and it did the trick. In my case, only my left turn signal would work sporadically and then would get stuck in the on position. The new relay cleared that up... Thanks again!
Great video! We used it to install a new turn signal relay that we got from Amazon on a 2001 Jeep GC in less than 1/2 hour. Turn signals work. Thank you.
Every parts store i called couldn't find the part i needed. Thank you for including the part number on the video, the guys at auto zone couldn't find it until I showed them the paused shot of the actual part number.
Thank it was very helpful however, all I had to do was tighten the relay a bump knocked it loose and because of your video I fixed it just by reaching with my hand without taking it apart
Thanks alot, I had previously changed out my heater core which required me to remove the entire dash, and then my turn signals went out. was nice to see I only had to remove the driver side this time. Its awesome when people like you upload a quick video on how to fix something and show you everything you need to do. greatly appreciate this video. Thanks again
This is the best video on this issue, replaced mine a couple days ago, worked great 👍 The new relay seems to have slightly faster switch than the last, the blinker is a little more rapid... which is actually an improvement.
Took me about 30 minutes, after putting it back together I had one indicator/turn light lit up permanently. Took it apart again and found that the relay wasn’t seated properly. Make sure you push it right in. Great video. Thanks
In my case , wasn’t very easy put it back on. I had to pull down the whole fuse panel , then apply little electric grease in each connectors , that’s the only way to push back the new flasher relay on place . Thanks buddy.
THANK you appreciate it.........and a quetion. I have mu cluster engine indicator partially off with no indication. Any relay or fuse you should mention I could check? Thank you
Went to junkyard as could not find part for reasonable price. Guys there were great and suggested to double check that relay was not just loose....sure enough that was all we did was pull it out and snap it back in! They landed up giving me the replacement as a backup....that was a year ago. Since then I have had to take apart dash and redo a few times since then (still using original part)....usually lasts several weeks-months before left signal starts with the intermittent working:not working. My question is can you suggest a way to secure it from jiggling out? Thank you
Thanks. My hazard lights work but not the turn signals. A guy at car quest told me you can usually swap them out bc there's 2 of them in there. But I didn't see 2 like that in your Jeep.
This is the issue with mine. Did you get it figured out? I could turn my hazard on for a minute and they would come back on, but now I think its fried exp the hazards. Lol I grabbed the bigger relay at salvage I can put in I was just curious when I saw this comment.
Hey! Love your video and how easy it was to understand. I am wondering what the problem could be if my hazards ARE working and it’s just my signals lights that are out? What could that be?
I had the same issue (the hazards and the right turn signal work, the left sometimes works) the fault was related to the whole relay holding assembly (where all the relays go). I fixed the contacts and now it is all good
@@eniojaupaj5615 my hazards light work but by turn signals do not and my temperature valve actuator doesn’t work either, keeps burning the fuse as soon as I turn the car on
i have the same issue. hazards work but no blinkers and it’s internittent so sometimes the blinker will work. going to mess with the relay junction and see what the deal is
@@PenRippyJr mine turned out to be a cable that ran farm the transmission, forgot what it was called but it was damaged and was getting ground off the chassis
I only had the left turn signal stop working. Replaced the relay and everything worked. Then the left stopped working again and a month later nothing works. Any thoughts?
I have a 2014 Jeep Cherokee Sport V4 Only my right passenger back blinker is stuck on. Would i have to change the relay ? My battery kerps draining. Women in distress
It's so hard to get the new Relay back in there. I even loosened the bolts on the fuse box and can't get it lined up to click into place. Idk what to do.
Easy I had similar experience… at first I tough it was the Turn Signal Relay. I switched it out anyway and still not happen. I then thought I had some grounding issue. My last resort was to change out the actual turn sign (just the headlight with 2 small + screw holding it) that did the trick!! Let me know I I can help you find parts etc…
I have changed that relay in my 99 jeep grand cherokee laredo, and turn signal switch but still have no turn signals or hazard, have changed turn signal switch, nothing, any ideas
Question, had this issue except the left turn signal lights up. Pulled ignition fuse and replaced relay for flashers and everything works. Soon as I install the 40 amp ignition fuse, left flasher lights up and won't turn off. Flashers stop working and reverse lights come on. Wtf could this be
Really easy right I fought with it for a hour had to walk away from it.if you have small hands I could see it being easy they have too have a tool too grab this thing to be able to align it up
If it's only the left rear is probably the housing the left rear is a common light to go out if you look on the forms right now my left rear is out lol. Around the plug and the housing will look a little melted
When you say Just One Direction stops working do you mean one whole side as in driver side or passenger side or do you mean just one corner of your vehicle like the driver side front headlight blinker doesn't work?
If it's one whole side like driver side or passenger side it's more than likely the relay is bad if it's just one corner then it's probably the light bulb or possibly a wiring issue. Always start by checking your fuses maybe even swap fuses around 2 see if that fuse is good or bad.
@@FastestIntegra Thanks driver side was intermittenly dead, most likely the relay was not seated all the way in! It probably wiggles itself loose over the years, once I cleaned the terminals with wd40 and re-seated it , now works properly every time.
Did the signal/hazard lights still turn on but not flash? Or were they not turning on at all? Trying to see if this is what I need to replace on mine. Thanks
On my 2001 GC I only have the Left directional not working at all....(The hazards and the right directional still work fine)....Could this still be the Relay or could it be the actual multi function switch/directional??
@@FastestIntegra"Update".....I reached my hand up in there and just moved that relay around with my fingers and made sure it was plugged in all the way and Abra Ca dabra it was fixed.....Prob a rare case but if i have an issue again i will just buy a new relay cuz that does seem to be where the fault is....Thank you for the informative video.
@@FastestIntegra mine did the same thing. You can re solder the pins if you can’t find the part but it’ll go out regardless. I have a few of the relays laying around in case
So tonight my blinkers weren't working but the hazards were. Then after sitting for awhile now the blinkers work. Would it still be this real ain't even though the hazards works the whole time?
Both the blinkers and Hazard works on the same relay and it's not very expensive so if you're having problems that would be the place to start other than checking your fuse. Mine started failing with no left blinker right side worked hazards work but no left blinker and then progressively got worse.
I needed my wife's small hands to get it out but we got it. I just opened up the relay and reheated the solder connections to fix mine. No need to buy a new one. Thanks for the video!
