I've been watching a ton of WJ vids lately. Seen most of them 5 times over. I've had '99 for 18 years and I'm starting to build it this year. It's nice to see a fresh new WJ video. Good job.
@albertfs4754 haven't made it that far yet. I'll probably just do Fat Bob's 2.5". I had to rebuild the engine and trans coincidentally/luckily 1000 miles apart.
Use the factory shock cross pins on the front shocks. My wj didn't make it out of the drive before breaking. 265/75/16 load range E tires rubbed in reverse on incline, but not going forward.
Great video, thanks for posting! I just purchased the same Rough Country 2" Lift Kit for my '04 Grand Cherokee. Can you please confirm that the rubber rear lower coil spring insulator is not required when installing this Rough Country Lift Kit?
This Jeep looks sweet!!! When you show the Jeep at the end is this with stock tire size? I really like the look of it with that wheel and tire set up! Thanks for sharing!
does the castor angle need any adjustment , how does it drive, i see these getting death wobble when lifted 4 inch but this 2 inch lift looks pretty good .
I remember doing my xjs. Wow those very rear bolts on the leaf springs were such a bitch to get off. Used a breaker bar the entire time backing them off. Couldn’t get an impact on em. Smh
"Hi, I wanted to ask if raising the height of your vehicle by 2 inches has affected its handling on the freeway, especially when taking turns. I think the difference might not be significant, but the last time I raised the height of my vehicle decades ago, it also had larger tires which made the ride louder, like on a dirt bike. So, I'm looking for a compromise between the height and the noise. Also, did you notice any changes in mileage after raising the height? Your instructions make it look plausible for someone like me to do it myself. Thank you, and take care!"
It still drives pretty well with the lift due to it being such a small lift. Mileage is about the same to my knowledge. We installed the lift for a family member so I haven't really driven it since.
Worst thing you can do is lift springs and lift pucks, in order to do a correct lift is to do extended links and arms and just lift coils then use those shovk absorbers
My 03 WJ with Old Man EMU springs and dampers (not long arm), rides beautifully on and off road, and I've never been hung up or had issues going where I need to go. Okay I won't be doing crazy rock crawling but that suits me
I was thinking about paring these wi to the roughy country 4in long arm to make around 6 in in lift because 3000$ is to much for Clayton’s 6 in lift , if I do this is there anything I should know
How do you like this kit after being in use for awhile? Handling and ride quality still there? Getting any noise issues that I have read about? Considering this kit myself; Thanks for any info you can provide...
been running it for 2.5 years now with 245/75/16 setup. So far so good. Front driveshaft doesn't like the lift so I removed it as I mostly drive on normal roads.
@@SenzuBeaner yes. The WJ is rear wheel drive and only uses the front when needed. So far I've been driving around without the front driveshaft for 1.5 years and zero issues.
@@jackstandnation now ya did it lol yeah recently did on mine it come with the 19mm self taper bolt to bolt up the front spacer is it not knocking or making noise not being secured down?
These kits are a waste of time and money....first of all if you put this kit on a older jeep your not getting a 2 inch lift cause the stock springs are shot so you need new ones. Save up some cash and buy a 4 inch lift kit that way it's a whole new suspension at the height that looks badass 🤘
@@Raid-qx4jv I had 2” lift with spacers on my 89 Cherokee with 31” wheels. I went everywhere that the guys with the expensive 30k plus equipment went. They all thought it was unreal and never understood how my rig made it in and out. Bought the jeep from my best friend for 80 bucks because he couldn’t get the truck started and instead bought a 2005 TJ with 35” wheels and the original dana 30 and 35 front and rear. My 2” spacer lift I already had, the wheels were given to me, welded up the rear differential, and kicked it off to the utmost. The cheapest most bestest fun I ever had 😂
Nice video. Everything you need and nothing you don't Well, the cow was unneeded, but entertaining.
Thank you!
Just got this kit installed on my 02 and it has been great

How big are the tires your using bro?
How much for the 2 “ lift kit??
How big tires
How big tires? I'm changing to 17" tires

So no new rubber coil isolators. In the rear direct metal contact. GREAT 😂
Idk we just did it quick for my brothers in-laws and they haven't complained so far lol

245 wide is the biggest you can go without spacers, I belive.

Super filmik 👍💪
Why not put a new rubber springisolaror on the rear springs? Now it's metal on metal!
Idk, my brothers' in-laws just gave us this kit and we slapped it on, and I decided to make a video out of it lol

Did it increase ground clearance? Was this a quadratec?
did you have problems with stock springs falling out or bowing out after the kit installation?
So far, it's been working pretty well
please tell me the size of the width, they look great
Nice, do you have a link to this kit?

What size wheel spacers are you using
what size spacers? and was there any rubbing before you lifted it ?
I don't remember the size of the spacers. It was for a family member so I didn't drive it much beforehand to know of any rubbing.
Estoy haciendo los mismo en mi wj que amortiguadores colocaron ? Muchas gracias
vienen con el kit mi pa cuesta como 300 baros
What size tires are on it before it was lifted
Tires are same size in the video.
Number part shocks?
What size spacers you got? I wanna go with like a flushed look but kind of poking out wheels
Im not quite sure because it wasn't our jeep but they were pretty small. Maybe an inch or so
What size wheel spacer are u running on wj
What tire size do you have
NOT recommended to lift the Limited with the Quadra-Drive 4x4 system!
Why???
Did you not bolt the spacer in the front it comes with a bolt to bolt it in
Nope...I guess we forgot lol
@@jackstandnation now ya did it lol yeah recently did on mine it come with the 19mm self taper bolt to bolt up the front spacer is it not knocking or making noise not being secured down?

On rough country site it says the kit won't fit my 2004 wj 4x4 . Do you know why?
Bro me too smh the website says it doesn’t have the kit for my jeep either
tell me what brand of wheels are installed on your jeep
06 Jeep rubicon wheels
Hey brother, do you know if 33 inch tires will fit with a 2 inch lift kit?
I'm pretty sure 33s need a bigger lift. I think these are close to 31s
shoulda replaced them rusty springs hahah great video tho

@jackstandnation HI, the wheels are 17 but what size are the tires? Are those 245/75/17? or 265/70/17? Thanks
