@@teambigv I've watched him, he isn't that bad on defense. He had a shoulder issue this year that may have affected him, but he makes most plays effectively. His hitting at end of season was affected by the injury, so if he has to have surgery, that's the only way I see Arenado being of interest to the Red Sox.

Arenado to KC for Bubic and a prospect or two.....only pay down a small portion of the contract Arenado to Boston for Yoshida....contract for contract Arenado to Phillies for Nick Castellanos .. contract for contract Arenado to the Mets for Jeff McNeil ..contract for contract
Arenado for that Yankee kid straight!!! WHY would we trade a platinum glove 3rd baseman plus 2 others for an unproven player who batted under .200 when he was up??? That makes absolutely no frickin' sense whatsoever. Arenado for Dominguez and the Yankees take all of Arenado's payroll!!! They need him more than we do!!! And we don't have to trade him.
We have the exact pieces they need to go for a title, I agree, don't let them bellyache over a contract you want arenado, Helsley and possibly an outfielder? You're paying a heavy price ,more than one prospect for sure.
If all want him gone then package him with Nootbaar or Donovan to get something If we are going to play the young kids here is the youngsters we have other than Contreras and Siani is younger than Burleson and fermin is also younger so if you put Gorman at first and Fermin at third then all players are the younger Herrera c Contreras 1st Saggese 2nd Winn ss Gorman 3rd Burleson lf Scott cf Walker rf
sorry Bill, but that lineup won't win 60 games. We might even give the White Sox's record for futility last season a run for their money. Trading Nootbaar makes sense, but not Donovan. Scott, Walker, Gorman and Saggese cannot hit and/or strike out too much, and Walker is atrocious on defense anywhere he might be put, which causes too much pressure on pitchers to be perfect and on guys in the lineup who do hit. The latter impacted Goldy and Arenado the past 2 seasons, and this 2025 lineup is worse than 2024.

Not a closer, just a reliever
