If we’re talking about the Show, yes. This summary is basically what happened to Benjen. In the books ”Cold Hands” and Benjen Stark are not the same person. I can’t remember exactly, but I guess it had been a video >Indeep Geek” published some years back. In it some source material was shown in which one of G.R.R. Martin’s editors asked about Cold Hands identity being Benjen and the Author commented ”NO.”☺️
You are correct, but this is for the show only because Cold Hands is not a character in the show. It is debatable if the showrunners essentially combined Benjen's character with the Cold Hands character. I am not aware of this ever being clarified but agree that it is inaccurate for anyone to for sure claim that this is the case since it is all speculation. Either way, in the books, Benjen's whereabouts are unknown.
I have my own theory that Benjen will be The Next Night King. Awesome episode Great explanation on your own theory it’s completely plausible. After all, anything is possible in GOT 🔥🐉
Love this video! But I disagree with one thing…. I believe Benjen is alive at the end of the series. I so hope he is in the Snow series. The most important moment for me in Games of Thrones is when Jamie reveals that he killed the mad king to protect the people of Kings Landing. Although they ruined the character arc in season 8, I still love the character arc before then. Thank you for all the wonderful videos!!
I luv all the videos on ur channel!!!! But am wondering if you could go into the history of the Children of the Forest … where did they come from, etc…
3ER, thanks for getting back on track to the GOT Universe. NOW, in the HBO series the wall was created to keep the white walkers on the other side of the wall. It had been built with magic to protect the releam of men. How is it that 2 dead men where brought through the gate and 1 awoke and attacked Lord Mormont and later another was hauled all the way to Kings Landing. I asked this question before and never saw a response. Maybe I missed it. I can see that maybe by the time they got to Kings Landing, the night king had the ice dragon and the wall was down but that wasn't the case with the attack at Castle Black. I like finding...inconsistencies in movies. Example: Jurassic Park, the 1st one. TRex comes through the fence and proceeds to eat people, car, tires and then pushes the SUV that was basically in the same spot over the wall to a go 30 foot drop. Where did that drop come from? Trex was just standing there when he pulled the fence down. Still baffling and find it q big inconsistency. AND I have never seen it mentioned anywhere. Sorry. Got off GOT Universe subject but was trying to point out that even in movies someone makes a big mistake that isn't caught. Anyway, 3ER, MUCH BETTER VIDEO FOR THE GOT UNIVERSE!!
The way i see it the magic of the wall purely extends to the wall, not any gaps in it(manmade or thus). Could be 100% a plot hole but the logic is sound to me.
Aegon's Conquest is the most important historical event in the history of Westeros. They dedicated their calendar around it. I'm reading A Feast For Crows now. One more book and I'll be in the same position as the rest of the book readers, although I do have Fire & Blood that I started.
Most interesting is also how the lord of light operates. But uncle Benjen being this entity he would know john is Lianas son. I wonder at the time he got stabbed by the children of the forest he was revealed any sort of vision that drove him to believe without hesitation he had to protect John
He is what the white walkers originally were, semi human, dead men with memories. I think this is part why the white walkers turned against the children, and the fact that the chilren made them tto fight men then left them and made a pact with men. ( just my opinion) .what i remember they arent skeletal and as evil looking in the books. Representing something as not quite dead bit not living either, something oddly beautiful
I think that Benjen is alive and Jon Snow will see each other again to destroy whatever or whoever is creating those white walkers and put an end to them Jon is the Prince that was Promised. oh I forgot Melissandra died at Winterfell why! is she a Stark she just disappreared into thin air!
I hoped that Jon, on his new story beyond the wall, would run into raggedy Uncle Benjin occasionally.
There needs to be an Uncle Benjen spinoff mini series.
I wish they would bring this series back. The best ever nothing compares yet
Lies. Vikings is totally better
@@adrianj4930 not a lie it is my favorite but I also love Vikings have watched it 3 times already! Love this series!
@@normajeansovereign9716 see you know something 😮💨👌🏾

I am close to finishing Book #5, The Dance of Dragons. I don't even reference the show anymore. It was entertaining, but it has a lot of things wrong.
This is not book Benjen, but show only. In the books for me he is still in the north somewhere
Benjen is NOT Cold Hands. People have asked GRRM that, and he said no.

How would he have survived being overwhelmed by the wights, though?

Love the entire GOT universe

W video always makes my day when I see the three-eyed raven post could u do a video strictly on house blackwood they're my favorite house
Or possibly abt the dragon called the cannibal he's my favorite dragon
After the intro seeing an add is so off putting. Just saying. Otherwise good video mate
Yes, this just started recently, everywhere! TH-cam and Facebook that I know of. Annoying.
I think Benjen was GRRM's own version of cold hands thus why he said it isn't coldhands from the book.
He like Ladystone heart a wright that cut off from the hive mind.

Actually, the white walkers are of the Children of the Forest magic since they created the first one.
Sansa becoming Queen of the North is epic
Benjen was whipped apart.
I believe we will see his Uncle again and I believe we will answers about craster
Getting into the game of thrones universe. No lie Vikings the best out of all of them.
I think that Benjen is alive and Jon Snow will see each other again to destroy whatever or whoever is creating those white walkers and put an end to them Jon is the Prince that was Promised. oh I forgot Melissandra died at Winterfell why! is she a Stark she just disappreared into thin air!
Benjen, great character, useless in the show, like a lot of characters that were either severely undercut or outright cut from the show.
The most important moment was the moment Joffrey chose to kill Ned.
Wind back a bit, I think. The chance meeting of Catelyn and Tyrion in the inn at the Crossroads.
Youre talking about the show, which means this video is worthless information. No one cares about the damn show anymore.
Who cares? It's not canon.
Benjen died with all the other white walkers.
Why do people troll get a life
How did he become Coldhands?
Simple, he forgot his gloves
