We are Louise and Kelly, a married couple from Christchurch, New Zealand and Iceberg is our future home. She is a 2023 Mercedes Sprinter 170 Extended AWD with a Super High Roof. Back in 2020 we had a Mid-Covid Life crisis and decided, like most of the world, to make a plan to leave our jobs and do what we love. For us its travel bring on full time travelling by 2025. (It was 2022, then 2024 - but that’s another story!)

The machine procedure at @12:37 that you're describing is a CAT scan. I've never been in one with an actual AI voice, but the technicians always had scripts for all the standard instructions and tend to repeat them in such a robotic, emotionless way that it would be easy to think it was an automated voice. In fact, you can have brief conversations with the technician through the speaker system. You can also get the technician laughing so hard that you can still hear them fighting laughter as they read the script. (If you can't tell, I've had more than a few CAT scans. May you never have a condition that requires lots of CAT scans in short timeframe.)

We will do them in the future, at the moment we are rather short for time with our own work and managing iceberg . That is a full-time job in itself have a fabulous day. X
4:49 Hi ladies it's me again😊! Be sure that it is easy to reach the service panel (or cover) of each watertank! Because at the end of every season or at least twice a year, it's recommended to clean out those tanks! Old water residu can make you very ill! It is a kind of a fungus (slime and sticking to the sides and bottom of the tank!)! So glad to hear from you again!❤🌈☺️
How do we clean out the tank under the vehicle Perhaps we fill it with vinegar and baking soda and drive back-and-forth to swish it?
@@louiseandkelly if you empty out the old water first, then filling it up with fresh and clean water and some washing soda(the stuff is very cheap and for sale in supermarkets in the detergent section), and yes if you fill those tanks up half way, accelerate and stop and repeat this is okay! Then leave the solution one night in the tank(s) and then drain them! Just rinse them out with clean water 2or3 times should be enough! Washing-soda is not toxic!

I’m still wondering how the wooden front-to-back ribs are attached to the roof. Are they notched into the left-to-right ribs? Are they screwed in? Are they glued? I’m asking because I have the same van.
@HybridBattery the ribs were glued inside the roof. Great hearing from you, where are in the world? I only ask because the super high roof is extremely rear and hard to get.

Your van is going to be next level. I love that you have a pee diversion tank, we have to empty our pee bucket every day, two chicks though, we pee a lot. Van life is epic and I can’t wait to see your adventures to other countries. Are you coming to Australia? ❤❤❤

Yes we are going everywhere,possible in the world where we can take our right hand drive van. It just seems so far before we even get started. We are laughing, because it is so true, we were just discussing this morning with all our jackets and clothes. We actually aren’t going to fit. !! Also will have to invest in a Shewee because not enough for him to sit on the toilet anymore!

We have the 40L water heater - iceberg is actually going to the engine coolant man on Monday for four days to have her pipes run both to the water heater, and the Aircon, which has a heating portion.
19:15 Is that wise? Putting the gaspipes under the floor (on the outside?)? I just changed that, I've put the gaspipes inside, because the gas will freeze when it's cold outside, even when standing still! I had to change that in de trailer because of that...
We had no idea that the gas pipes would freeze, we have been spending a lot of time with the Electrician and Builder? to make sure that our water tanks aren’t going to freeze, but nobody mentioned the gas so thank you. We will have a chat to them about insulating.
@@louiseandkelly Insolation... I don't think so... Better have them inside! Because the gas has become liquid by putting it under pressure, and liquid gas will freeze very easy even by temperatures of around 5-10°CELCIUS! So insolation is contra-productive; it will keep the gas cold so to speak! The absolute best is to keep them inside, believe me!

The Butane component of the gas boils at -1 degrees Celsius and Propane component -42 degrees therefore unlikely hope this helps) does it make sense to you? ❤
I have read 'the gasman' opinion! You know, I did experience the freezing of the gaspipes! I understand that your gasman says that it won't be possible... Did or is he been camping at freezing temperatures? If he is ànd his pipes are not freezing, then okay go with his opinion! I don't like to brag about things; it's not my nature, but I have done camping all my life! First with my parents and later alone, but I can still remember (many springtimes ago), that my father got out of the caravan tot take the gastank in, to connect a small heater, because the gaspipes outside were frozen solid, the reason why the underfloor heating wasn't working anymore!
I don't say he is lying... But I try to help you out, that you have no worries about your gas situation, that's all😕
We absolutely love all of your input, we are going to take it upon ourselves to see what we can do with our outside barbecue gas pipe. I doubt that he has done any outdoor camping. We prefer to take your advice. We have heating pads. Let’s hope that they can help. X
