I own a Epson et 4550 too, my black ink is not getting a clean nozzle check, I run it so many times to hope it would self clean itself but didn't work. So I'll try this method as I want to keep this machine. It would be a waste to buy another one as I like the Epson et black printer model line because they're really not making black model printers anymore..anyway I'll try this method hopefully it works

This is a brilliant Video and thank you for solving the issue for us, our printer lives on to fight another day and does not join the waste pile! Maybe you could do a video showing how to replace the printer head at some point and send out a Patreon link, I'd pay for that help! I actually have the part here, just need the guidance! Looks like this just might work. I've always dreaded messing with working on inkjet types of printers due to all of the mess, but this doesn't look too bad at all. Thanks! Will give this a try on 2 different Ecotank printers that aren't working.

Thank you so much! I’m almost there! It’s pulling the 2 colors of ink it wasn’t pulling before now but it’s still giving me intermittent lines when printing, but I’m on my way!

How to you open the et-4700 to access the print heads? I saw 4 videos with 4 similar, but not the same models. The guys just easily lifted the section including the scanner glass to access the heads. On the 4700, we have not been able to do that. I like your video.
