On our 2017 flying cloud 30 we had only warm water and the problem was the mixing valve was clogged with minerals. We unscrewed it from the aluminum tank and let it (and the little filter behind it) soak in vinegar. Water is hot again.
This is a common problem in many parts of the plumbing system, when you've been using hard water. Especially if you have a tankless water heater, we recommend following a descaling (or decalcifying) procedure annually. The steps are described in "The (Nearly) Complete Guide to Airstream Maintenance" second edition, which you can find on Amazon.

The only question I have is one that is age-old and it is the one of traveling with a full fresh water tank. Many long-time Streamers, such as yourselves, recommend it so that you are never caught short. My concern is not the towing weight, but the weight of the fresh water tank on it's anchor points to the frame. I have seen too many stories of tanks dropping during travel. I lack a little bit of faith, if not in the engineering of our Globetrotter, then in the manufacturing. What say ye?

I’ve thought about installing a high quality Omega integrating flow meter to measure water usage. Probably overkill but I’ve used these for decades in precision laser cooling applications.
What are your thoughts about the Blu Tech SS braid hoses? I like the fact that they’re set up with connectors directly to the filtration system that you sell.
We haven't reviewed this hose. But quick connectors are included with the Blu Tech Elite systems so you can attach them to any standard hose you have. We'd encourage you to compare the braid hose (or any hose) to our non-vinyl Ultimate RV Water Hose. Here's what works for Tothie's 6% shower: IMPORTANT: Use a high quality/'clean' shampoo. Something that you can suds up with very little water and that rinses easily because the suds don't linger. I use a Davines brand shampoo bar and conditioner but I imagine good salon brands like Purology will work too. If you use a brand that creates lots of bubbles and suds you will need more water to rinse. 1. Open shower door, kneel down in front of shower, and flip head / hair over the shower floor. 2. Turn on the shower sprayer to full and wet your hair from the back of your head as quickly as possible - working from under the hairline/from the back uses less water because you can use your hands to work the water into the ends as it hangs over your upside down head. 3. Work in the shampoo and use the water saver button on the handheld shower to turn on/off little spurts that drive the shampoo to suds up. 4. Rinse as quickly as you can from the back of your head. Use the hand that's not holding the handheld shower to rub out the suds while dousing your head with water. 5. Put in the minimum amount of conditioner needed. 6. Rinse conditioner quickly from back of head as in step 4. Work quickly and be mindful of the water usage and this should work. Finally, I can wash my hair every day on a 4 night boondocking trip! HAPPY SHAMPOOING

Yes, if the pump is on, it is pulling water from the fresh tank. So even on city water, it will eventually have to be refilled.

I need to know the hair washing tip, too! Have been using outside shower and bucket to not over use water rinsing!
