    I bought the drinking safe hose and used it the first time this past weekend. All I can say is buy one. It was so easy to store in the tote I use as well. I placed the 50 foot hose in the outside bin just in case I ever need it. I may just order a 2nd hose from you to ensure I never have to haul that old hose out. :)

      Great to hear you like the hose! In early 2021 we'll have a custom bag available for it too, which makes it even easier to stow in an exterior compartment.

    Make sure if you purchase a air pump that the output pressure is capable of satisfying the maximum tire pressure. Check your tire pressure on a regular basis especially if your weather temperature changes drastically or time and or mileage has been extensive. Regularly check the spare tire pressure before you need it in a emergency.

    on theft.. during hurricane aftermath.. thieves will drive around listening for running generators during the day at unattended units and lift them. We have heavy motorcycle chains to run through the generator frame and its been an effective deterrent.

      Glad you enjoyed it! We'll be doing another webinar in June, on tire pressure monitoring. An announcement will be made to everyone on our email list. If you're not sure if you're on our list, go here: mailchi.mp/airstreamlife/signup

    Make sure if you purchase a bottle pump that it excees / capable of lifting the weight of your Airstream.

    Great video. I have a 1973 AS and the cabinets roll ups are sticking. What do u recommend to unstick them?

    • @airgear
      @airgear  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's time to disassemble the rollers, clean out the spiral plastic, and lubricate with something relatively permanent like wax.

    Great video! I bought the "ultimate" drinking hose as well as the various kits on the Airstream Store. Haven't had to use the tire changing get BUT I'm ready! Rich, what size "crescent wrenches" would you recommend? Keep up the great webinars.

    • @airgear
      @airgear  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lee, I would only carry a few small wrenches for working on the propane system. I carry a 7/16", 1/2", 9/16" and 5/8". I also carry a couple of adjustable wrenches, small and medium.

      Rich, that is the EXACT answer I was looking for and will go to Home Depot / Lowe’s this week to pick up the applicable wrenches. I have a Craftsman set that has all sorts of wrenches but would like to have the few wrenches 🔧 needed so, I don’t have to drag the WHOLE KIT out. Thank you for the prompt and specific answer.

      Rich - I picked up my wrenches today and they went straight into the AS toolbox.

    I can’t access your air gear WEB Site. My browsers can’t/won’t open the site. Is there a different WEB address?

    • @airgear
      @airgear  ปีที่แล้ว

      A few people have contacted us with this issue and it turns out to be one of these things: 1) A VPN - solution is to turn it off or 2) The ISP is blocking it - solution is to contact your ISP and request release of our URL from being blocked. It's a long shot but you might try our old URL which redirects - store.airstreamlife.com

    • @airgear
      @airgear  ปีที่แล้ว

      UPDATE: Upon further research, this access issue seems to be isolated to people who have AT&T as their Internet provider. AT&T has added a feature called AT&T ActiveArmor, which is supposed to manage spam and nuisance calls, but it also blocks some sites that you actually want to access. Customers have told us that once they toggled Active Armor off, they can access our site. Here's how to do that:
      1. Go into Settings in the Smart Home AT&T app on your phone
      2. Find the Active Armor setting
      3. Toggle it off
      Once it's off you will be able to access our store on all of your devices - airgear.store

    How to secure your protable surge protector when using?

    • @airgear

      Personally, I've never secured mine. In 15 years of extensive travel, nobody has ever touched it.

    With the prices that an Airstream commands, the dealership should give you duplicate keys as part of a welcome package.
