You just can't beat a good old fashioned wooden coaster
Been in that exact seat , one of the best rides of my life
Ill never be so lucky to ride this piece of history. Keep it as is.
This roller coaster definitely lives up to its name.
Even With The Roughness People Overlook The Airtime Its Amazing

I remember riding it brand new in 2000, was glass smooth for a cci debut even with those Gerstlauer trains. There was some promotional thing too with this guy I think his name was Rodriguez? Trying to break a consecutive ride record or something. Fun times 😊

I think it was 02 or 03ish. I remember that dude. I was there once while he was, and he had a ton of like pillows all around him, lol.
Will always love this ride but I'm ready for it's next version; whether that's an RMC or Titan track

Or a Gravity Group precut retracking. Also replace those awful Gerstlauer trains with Timberliners.

Don't ride in the back of the train, it literally beat the shit out of me, i had a hard time standing after i rode this. Let's say we left the park after this ride

I rode it in the second row and I will not ride it again unless it is repaired.
Solid layout, but one thing. Gerstlauer wood coaster trains just don't do it for this kind of ride.

That first drop is a doozy for a woodie
The boss wont be getting the rmc treatment unfortunately, but theres supposed to be alot of track work happening. I hope that it gets titan track and the new gci flyer trains.
Gci flyers are not very good on Zinger

I only rode it once this year, but I will do some more rides next year.
I told the person who operates the ride (is it gonna get RMC’ed?) and he resounded with "never know" and he smiled

Its not that rough.
Boss is amazing. It sits in my top 10 out of 250. It's not the smoothest, but far from the roughest coaster I've ridden (Hades 360). It could use some re-tracking by Gravity Group or GCI's Titan Track or in-house. Keep RMC away from this beauty they would ruin it (they almost bricked a wood coaster once).
I'd be ok with a retracking! Some sort of work is definitely needed! I honestly believe though that if RMC'd, this could rival Steel Vengeance!
@@themeparkmark1 In my book steel vengeance isn't even that good (not even top 3 at cedar point). Plus, RMC boss would be like half the layout.

I will say that from my personal experiences in riding both the original and RMC (Colossus/TC, Wildcat/WR), I felt that the RMC'd version was infinitely better than the original. Now, do I think every classic coaster should be RMC'd? Certainly not. If efforts can be made to restore/preserve and keep the original running like normal, then they should do it! However, if a woodie is becoming so rough and the park is doing nothing to keep it running like a woodie, then the only other options I see are either demolition or RMC transformation. In which case, RMC should definitely step in! Based on the layout and roughness of the Boss, it could easily be a top tier RMC! Just my two cents for what it's worth, anyways

The back is very rough especially the first drop that little dip in the structure for sure feels like it's tearing your waist

Its not that rough. Plus its the best part and we call it airtime.
@@ThrillSeekersandHellRaisers There's airtime that makes you feel you will fly out of your seat and airtime that makes me feel that the train will fall off the track. One is much less painful. The Boss should not be ridden by anyone who has even minor backaches.
