I went on it on June 4th for my dads birthday. I had a bad ride on it... it was bumpy and ruff.... I had to ride it a second time to think I might of just sat in the wrong seat... nope it was ruff the second time
Coaster Channel 1000 nah park owns it. If u look down from skyscreamer or screamin eagle they have the old tidal wave boats laying around with some other junk
William evans jr yeah in our dreams that would happen the park gets mediocre attendance at best plus six flags is pretty cheap so they are not gonna add a 20-30 million dollar B&M here
It's the worst thing they have ever done...oh wait I forgot about that cloning thing they started doing way back when. But still them calling a Larson Loop a coaster takes 2nd.
I've been going to six flags st. Louis since I could talk, I've worked their for 3 years. Now that I live out of state seeing the old rides and the park brought happy tears to my eyes!
Lost my vision glasses on Ednor at La Ronde 10 minute after entering the park, employe that check seat before the ride start just smirked at me instead of telling me i should probably remove my glasses, on the first turn i went right and my glasses went left, r.i.p 600$ and a 6 hour day being half blind. A mistake you don't do twice tho.
Man I haven't been here in years! Thanks for uploading this, brought back a lot of memories. When I was a kid, I loved the Screamin' Eagle and gripped the lap restraint so tight I had sore hands the rest of the day! And I remember you could see all the coasters from the highway as you drove there, the sleek black steel loop of Batman and Mr Freeze's vertical track ominously towering over you as you stand in the parking lot was such an awesome and scary feeling as a lad. Would love to back some day and experience it again! I'm from the UK, so Alton Towers is our home park, definitely worth visiting if you ever come over! The Smiler is one of the best coasters in the world in my opinion.
I remember when I was middle school I would come here every day over the summer and loved every ride rode em all over hundreds of times great fun time. Now I’m almost 19 graduated from high school and haven’t been since 8th grade and really want to go back 10/10 recommend this park
I rode the River King Mine Train in '88. (yes, I'm old!) It was called The Runaway Mine Train then. When I rode it was completely dark outside. At that time, the ride was in complete darkness! Since I was just visiting the Park for a quick church trip, I had no idea what was in the dark! But after observing the line of continual riders and how much people were laughing and enjoying themselves, I took the chance. Honestly, it was one of the best coaster experience I had. The complete lake of light left all those wonderful old-fashioned coaster elements as pure sensation. It was a blast. When I rode it again the next day in daylight, it wasn't nearly as fun.
i went there last week. i rode the boss, mr freeze, american thunder, batman, ninja, boomerang, and fireball. i went on a few more but these are the ones i went on that were in the video .i was going to ride the screamin’ eagle, but my class and i didn’t have enough time to wait in the long line. i enjoyed all of the roller coasters i went on. TOTALLY worth it! below are some of my favourite things i remember from the rides i listed batman: i enjoyed how your feet dangle and how it looks like you are going to run into all the poles. also how it flips upside down a TON the boss: definently the big drops!! had a lot of fun on this one mr freeze: i love how when it starts, it shoots you backwards really fast and you go straight up at the end and then you start going forward american thunder: the wait was long for me, but it was so worth it! this ride jerks you around and it might have been in my top 3 or 4 ninja: love this one! very fast, and i loves all the turns boomerang: MY FAVOURITE!! and definitely the scariest in my opinion. they bring you back up and shoot you forward. it was VERY fast and jerked you around a LOT! i also loves how often you are upside down, and how you go backwards when your at the top, similar to mr freeze. next time i o back, i am TOTALLY doing this one again fireball: my second favourite!! had SO much fun on this ride! my friend and i got the very front, or on the yellow, and it was a LOT of fun! we hung upside down a LOT! on this ride, it may feel like your done because it’s slowing down, but that doesn’t mean it’s done! if i go back i’d go on this ride again too!
The first and only time I went on the fireball, it broke down. It was still working and it stopped on the top side of the ride. I was really tiny, so it felt like I was flying out of my seats. Technically this was my first roller coaster. :) Thanks for posting, brings back lots of memories.
Ashlynn Reynolds went on the boss twice in a row yesterday and my back still hurts. It’s a good ride in moderation, but it will beat the devil out of you.
I grew up in East Central Illinois, we went to Six Flags multiple times a year when I was growing up. These bring back some really good memories! It doesn't look like the Screaming Eagle has been painted since the last time I rode it...back in 1999!!! Thanks for posting!
When that kid says how the lap bar on Mine Train isn't really holding him in, I had flashbacks from his age. Surprised a kid hasn't fallen out in the past decades.
Anyone remember Jet Scream? It was where Batman is now (and next to where the remote controlled boats used to be). That was the "rite of passage" coaster for a generation. When you'd finally been on Screamin' Eagle enough times to have the courage to go upside down. Or Rail Blazer, which ran on Mine Train tracks but was a standing coaster? (Someone fell out and died, so it was short lived.)
Is it just me or do other people feel comfort when they see the buildings and stuff on the ground. That's how I got over my fear of heights when I was 5 because my dad took me on the Faris wheel and I started crying bcs I was scared and he said to just look at all the cool things on the ground and then I calmed down. Idk🤷🏻♀️
When I was scared to ride something my dad showed me all the happy people walking off after riding. They were so excited.. I didn't want to miss out on what they were having so much fun doing. I get more scared on the highway driving to and from the park that riding the rides. I also used to feel a little proud that when I looked at the top of a roller coaster's drop or a loop from the ground because I'd think to myself "I've been up there"
2 days ago was my first time being on a roller coaster in my entire life and also to six flags but it's crazy how the first ever roller coaster I've been on is batman
I remember when they opened the ninja I was too short to ride at first but damn that corkscrew was epic to see on tv and later in real life! Hs a lot of love for this place until 2003 when a worker at the moon cars accused me and my group of using profanity on the ride when that was distinctly the only ride we hadn’t been cussing on lol. I almost got in a fist fight with the guy because he was just being too damn smug. I didn’t go back until last year with my kids and guess what? I’ll still rather wait until I have the money to go back to Disney World and universal. I have family working there anyway and can get in free and get discounts on everything. That’s besides the fact that the entire experience is just so much better and refined.
I was one of those kids I straight up started bawling the first time I could ride the mine train I thought we were about to go upside down and I was not ready lol
The screaming eagle hurts. Badly. I felt like I was in an abusive relationship after riding it. I’ve rode every ride there multiple times but I’ve only rode the screaming once and once is enough! 😱 🦅
Six Flags St Louis needs something unique to that park to make it stand out from the rest of the other six flags. they usually just get whatever other parks get. we need a ride that we can call our own.
It’s been a long time since St. Louis got a solid roller coaster, I guess The Boss or Batman were the last. Boomerang is ok, but surely any enthusiast won’t say it’s top notch. American Thunder is well worth a ride too. Lately there has been a trend of smaller, more compact rides for this park, or flat out repurposing old rides (Justice League, Highland Fling/wonder girl, and the innards or Rush St Flyer becoming Fireball). I might, maybe go back if we ever get a hybrid or a hyper coaster or just something really thrilling. Something that doesn’t beat the ever living crap out of you! Nothing was more disappointing than the new ride announcement that was the Tsunami Soaker.
@@Callie83 Justice League was put in an existing bldg in the park, but i wouldn't call that a repurposing an old ride. that was a major undertaking from being a dark/water ride to what it is now. and we were one of the first parks to get it. they re-purposed that ride several times thru the course of its life from Injun joe's cave to castaway kids to scooby doo. all floating dark/water rides that were not as popular as they were in the 70's and 80's. The ninja was my first “real” coaster besides the ones at Disney. I can’t remember which I did first but I’m pretty sure it was Disney’s. Never the less, I was scared and loved it. Couldn’t pay me to ride now though!
My first ever roller coaster was cheetah hunt at Busch gardens Tampa!this was in July of this year!went to silver dollar city a couple weeks ago in hopes to ride another one..unfortunately I couldn’t get myself on one..possibly going to sfsl October 5th..I want to ride another so bad just having trouble getting over this 30 year fear....
Over coming fears especially fears that have stayed with you for that long is very difficult. if you come to SFSTL oct 5th start off small and work your way up. The mine train here is not very intense, but its a great starter ( but can be kinda rough) or ride american thunder. its a very smooth ride for a wooden coaster, and not as intense as the Boss, but still and incredible ride.
Show Me Coasters absolutely I LOVED it! I didn’t realize it until later that night after the adrenaline settled down..American thunder is the one that I have been considering trying first,it looks awesome
The boss looks pretty cool, but this park needs a new standout coaster badly. An RMC of this massive woodie would do just that. Not to mention they would still have a great GCI woodie
As a Missourian , the ninja hurts like crap. It’s like the Cyclone at Wonderland , Amarillo Texas cuz it hurts. Why does it hurt?! Those loops are way to tight ouch. I’ve rode it twice and it hurt like hell!
The reason why your head was banging around on the ninja is because you weren’t pushing it back against the seat as hard as you can 🤣 I just got over my fear of roller coasters yesterday and rode on every single one but 3 because they were closed. I didn’t bang my head around once.
Rode Screamin' Eagle yesterday and it was awful. Rough and almost felt broken. Pretty strange because the ride has always been decently smooth in the past.
I was on there last month and it wasn't too bad. Then again, The Ninja never bothered me either and I tend to ride in the back so I don't think my opinion is valid.
I live in Missouri near St. Louis . The ninja is not bad at all. If you’re short around 5’2 or around there maybe then if so take ear rings out and sit STRAIGHT up.
They're really starting to have a lot of the same coasters at parks these days, that somewhat takes the fun out of going to different six flags parks though...
SF are betting that the core of the general public don't travel, enthusiasts like us do. When I do visit other SF parks i don't even ride Batman The Ride, because it's everywhere. In a way it's good and bad. They are trying to give the same experience to the general public. But it's boring. Now if you look at Six Flags competitor Cedarfair. They only give 5 out of 12 parks coasters on regular basis. What if you are not in the pampered park area. You ride the same 6 coasters for the next 10 years.
I made the mistake of wearing my glasses onto Batman one day, literally caught them between my thumb and index finger and held onto them for dear life the rest of the ride.
Your Batman looks like our Batman at Six Flags Great America, just a mirror image in opposite direction. Mr. Freeze looks really intense. Hope to come there soon.
Going back soon. Batman and Mr freeze are my two favorites. Train mine ruined my spine on one ride, and ninja lives up to its name. It kicks your ass with whiplash and knocks to the head
@@meatvortexgaming7134 That ride has awesome effects and great motion, but if they keep neglecting it like I think they have been, then I can see where you're coming from.
Screaming eagle hurt my back really bad and now I'm in the hospital. The mine was the best! Me and my two little cousins and mom had fun on vacation though. Didnt get to go to the waterpark though
Screaming eagle needs some love. Its deteriorating so much. Its basically lost all its air time, its getting really rough (rougher than the boss now) the chain lift seems to stall alot now and the paint is really worn and faded. Each time i ride it, it seems to be worse. Such a shame :(
I know the Mine Train is considered a "kiddie coaster", but at my age (59) and my height (6'4") it felt like I was barely able to wedge myself in. Felt like a first class mugging if I'm honest!
the screamin' eagle and ninja were literally my childhood 😭 all of these give me nostalgia!

Six flags needs to give St. Louis a major hyper B&M coaster they have the land

They have enough land to the east for a hyper
Show Me Coasters oh really?! I herd someone else owned the land though.

Nah mr freeze needs to be turned back around. Until then I think it’s worse than the ninja.
I disagree the ninja is awesome
I hate the ninja too

The mine train here is not very intense, but its a great starter ( but can be kinda rough) or ride american thunder. its a very smooth ride for a wooden coaster, and not as intense as the Boss, but still and incredible ride.
Show Me Coasters absolutely I LOVED it! I didn’t realize it until later that night after the adrenaline settled down..American thunder is the one that I have been considering trying first,it looks awesome
Which is better silver dollar city or sfsl?
The boss ride is so Rough
The boss needs a RMC update
Great camera work! I’m going tomorrow hopefully! I’m excited to ride Screaming Eagle.
St.louis gang🤟🏾💯
I LOVE ROLLER COASTERS SO MUCH you do not know HOW MANY TIMES i watched this video you just don't KNOW i think I'm going crazy😵😵😵😂😂😂
SAME
The boss looks pretty cool, but this park needs a new standout coaster badly. An RMC of this massive woodie would do just that. Not to mention they would still have a great GCI woodie
The boss aint no joke..... Youll surely get a headache.... A+
If you’re at six flags StL and riding a rollercoaster and look at the ground you can see hats that fell of riders heads
Mine fell off today but someone caught it
Lol, that happened to my brother
As a Missourian , the ninja hurts like crap. It’s like the Cyclone at Wonderland , Amarillo Texas cuz it hurts. Why does it hurt?! Those loops are way to tight ouch. I’ve rode it twice and it hurt like hell!
The Ninja disrespect in the comments is painful, considering that's my favorite coaster at SFSL.
That's because a few people know how to counter the pain that this 3 colored machine gives
When did they take the helix out of the Boss? Best damn part right there.
They removed the helix before the 2018 season. I miss it!!!
I literally passed out on the American thunder....I have a huge fear of roller coasters...don't think I'll ever ride one again
Awww
The reason why your head was banging around on the ninja is because you weren’t pushing it back against the seat as hard as you can 🤣 I just got over my fear of roller coasters yesterday and rode on every single one but 3 because they were closed. I didn’t bang my head around once.
Me and some friends might go here in a week
Jeez on the river king mine train when I go is empty and so are the other rollercoasters lines
Mine train is how I usually start when getting to six flags, and I don’t think I’m never going to not be terrified of it :^
I used to start with the Blue Moon cars :(
Rode Screamin' Eagle yesterday and it was awful. Rough and almost felt broken. Pretty strange because the ride has always been decently smooth in the past.
I was on there last month and it wasn't too bad.
Then again, The Ninja never bothered me either and I tend to ride in the back so I don't think my opinion is valid.
I second this, it can give good rides in the absolute front in the morning tho
I live in Missouri near St. Louis . The ninja is not bad at all. If you’re short around 5’2 or around there maybe then if so take ear rings out and sit STRAIGHT up.
Awesomebaker20 yeah, it’s really fun! I got hurt the first time because I wasn’t sitting straight up and I had earrings in a wel.
Man I will never get on Mr freeze and the boss again 😲😌😰😵
Simply Lieshua the boss ain’t scary but no matter how much my friend wants me to ride the boss I refuse lmfao😂
WEAK, WEAK!
I hate roller coasters but the boss wasn't bad
U funny like i really mean that 😆😆😆
My fav rides:
Pandemondiom
Mine train (especially the end)
Boss
Batman is okay
Superman
Sky screamer
Fireball
American Thunder used to be called the Evil Knievel....
I swore it looked familiar! I haven't been there in many years, actually since it was first installed.
the boss all i could hear was wooo yaaa 🤣🤣🤣
They still make wooden roller coasters but Nothing like that classic clickedety clack of the older ones
The Ninja - giving people concussions as far back as they can't remember
OMG I WENT ON THE BOSS TODAY AND THE CART AFTER US GOT STUCK AT THE TOP OF ONE OF THE HILLS AND OURS GOT STUCK FOR LIKE 30 SECONDS
Luna Lovegood why didn’t you use a spell to fix it?
Zoey's Adventures bc I’m an under age wizard and the Ministry would kill me if I used magic around muggles
I thought i was gonna throw up after the boss and screaming eagle! But American thunder was AWESOME
I made the mistake of wearing my glasses onto Batman one day, literally caught them between my thumb and index finger and held onto them for dear life the rest of the ride.
The same thing happened to me i was lucky to catch them
I was in Florida when you took the mr. freeze one I live in at.Louis too!
Your Batman looks like our Batman at Six Flags Great America, just a mirror image in opposite direction. Mr. Freeze looks really intense. Hope to come there soon.
yes ours is one of 2 mirrored clones of Batman the ride
Going back soon. Batman and Mr freeze are my two favorites. Train mine ruined my spine on one ride, and ninja lives up to its name. It kicks your ass with whiplash and knocks to the head
I miss the bosses helix
August Vlogs why did they replace the scooby doo rude with justice league the new justice league shooty thing is way worse
OH YEAH YEAH YES!!!! Scooby-Doo was easily my favorite ride in the park. I rode it every time I visited the park.
@@meatvortexgaming7134 That ride has awesome effects and great motion, but if they keep neglecting it like I think they have been, then I can see where you're coming from.
TwoToRule I got stuck on it for 20 minutes
Ahhhh!! I love the eureka sixflags (st Louis) the American thunder is great
Ava Keller that where I go! Question if you’ve been on it, is the Batman scary?
@@zoeybarkerr no, it is at first, but the ride is really smooth and your buckled in there good so you dont have to worry about your safety :)
All the memories of my back getting destroyed by The Boss just came flooding back.
I rode it today and it called the emergency services while my phone was in my pocket.
ceo of talking normally before rollercoaster gets fast
Screaming eagle hurt my back really bad and now I'm in the hospital. The mine was the best! Me and my two little cousins and mom had fun on vacation though. Didnt get to go to the waterpark though
Screaming eagle needs some love. Its deteriorating so much. Its basically lost all its air time, its getting really rough (rougher than the boss now) the chain lift seems to stall alot now and the paint is really worn and faded. Each time i ride it, it seems to be worse. Such a shame :(
Screamin eagle needs a retrack, me and my freind got headaches from it, it's borderline broken
Screaming eagle more like spiteful head rattler
I rode it yesterday. Loved it!!! Fave one!!!
Y’all need to realize this is an old design from a time when cars ride like this. It’s the nature of the ride. You’re just spoiled is all. Lol
Rides I been on:
River King Mine Train
Ninja
Pandemonium
The Boss
American Thunder
Screamin Eagle
Go on the batman its awesome
JellyTheRobloxian 😐 you ain’t no ride baTmaN or mr FreEZ
the "here we go" on American thunder is...
😂😂
😢 no like?
I know the Mine Train is considered a "kiddie coaster", but at my age (59) and my height (6'4") it felt like I was barely able to wedge myself in. Felt like a first class mugging if I'm honest!
Man. Six Flags needs to show St Louis some love. Almost all of these rides are outdated as hell. Batman being the only exception.
