Evil Woman, Telephone Line, and Strange Magic are three more great ones to start with, but there's plenty more after that. You can't go wrong with anything live from Wembley Stadium.
@@Kerppu68 "Hold On Tight" seems to me like a hypothetical Roy Orbison/Beatles collaboration. Don't Bring Me Down, for me, is just way too simplistic and repetitive.
Jeff Lynne (who comes from my home City of Birmingham, UK) is a great singer and producer. E.L.O. have loads of great songs and sound just as good live as they do on the studio versions. My favourite song of theirs is 'All Over The World' which is a happy song and there are videos with Flash Mobs dancing to it.
🎼Hard to believe Jeff Lynne is 76 years old now. ELO was a fabulous group of musicians. Time harbors on… Jeff moved on and teamed up with George Harrison, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan and Roy Orbison to form the Traveling Wilburys back in 1988. Give them a good listen. You’ll love them. Legends are hard to beat.🎼☮️
Do Ya - ELO is another great classic tune from them that charted in the top 15 of the music charts in the late 70s. Love for u to react to it! Great reaction to Don’t Bring Me Down!
Someone might have pointed it out already, but they do sing "Bruce" now every time they perform this song. Jeff Lynne said that audience members would sing it that way so often that he just decided to go with it, rather than having to always explain what the lyric actually was
Another great video and reaction from you guys. ELO is one of my favorite bands and this is one of my favorite songs. I don't think I've ever heard an ELO song that I didn't like but other faves include: Mr Blue Sky, Evil Woman, Showdown, Turn to Stone, Last train to London, Roll over Beethoven, Livin Thing, Shine a little love, Sweet Talking Woman, Strange Magic and Rockaria.
Hello . I am from Chile, and here in this country ,Electric Light Orchestra is known.. They have so many hits, like "Stranger","Midnight Blue" "Tightrope""Last train to London""All Over the World" R&R is King" and others. British Band Inducted into Rock Hall Of Fame
Next from ELO listen to Do Ya, Showdown, Evil Woman live at Wembley Stadium 2017...And all their 50 singles. ELO was the best selling band of the 1970's...
Truly liked your reactions to most everything you throw out there. Great diversity out of you three. Love the agreements and the disagreements. You’re on the top of my list of reactors. All the best to you guys. Do some more Fleetwood Mac. It’s an amazing band.
Since you guys like videos of songs, you should react to an awesome fan-made video where they edited together a bunch of clips from flash mobs all over the world and used the ELO hit song, *"All Over The World",* dubbed over it! You'll love the song & the video! (It's one of the happiest songs ever!)
In the hard partying 70s this was so much fun, we all knew that girl or guy. The line “I’ll tell you once more before I get off the floor “ hysterical 😂 Not my favorite but Phenomenal. That’s how good they are ,He is ☮️
Funky is right, the beat gives the song its marching orders nd the piano makes certain no ones lagging behind...Yea `79 was when they started headlining stadium festivals of those great days of rock, keep on rockin & giddyup THIS IS IT
Don’t know your name but I watch y’all everyday. The middle dude with beard and hat I like your energy on these reactions. You don’t let your coolness get in the way of your joy 😊
It's great to see Kelly Groucutt in there playing bass and sharing vocals with Lynne...there are some videos on TH-cam of ELO on tour where he's playing bass and singing the operatic parts of "Rockaria" which is my favourite ELO song...
Biggest charting? Maybe at the time. I think others songs of theirs have surpassed this over time. _Telephone Line_ in particular. _Don't Bring Me Down_ though ... it was ready made for the radio.
Shine a little love and last train to London are also on this album and are funky as fxck!! Keep your great reactions coming guys, peace and love from the 🇬🇧❤️🇺🇸
That's a slightly different recording than I'm used to hearing. Ollie and Fenom taught me something new, about the song that I never knew. I always thought they were saying "Bruce" and now I know what they're actually saying, what it means, and why it's in there.
I also like the song Do Ya....originally recorded by The Move before changing their name to ELO. Jeff Lynne also a member of the Travelling Wilburys Jeff said he didn't know the word Grouse was a german word until later. Also Rocking Roll Is King is another great song. (IMO)
Yes, Diva, if you've not heard ELO's song, "Mister Kingdom", check it out, I'm certain you'll immediately recognize The Beatles classic which inspired it.
One of John Lennon's favorites in the 1970's after the breakup of the Beatles ("I love that ELO, man!), this track, to me, sounds like a Beatles track. It's got that vibe. Jeff Lynn, the lead singer of the group would later join with George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, and Jim Keltner (drummer on a lot of John Lennon's solo albums) to form the supergroup "The Travelling Wilburies". Jeff Lynn also worked as the producer with the three remaining former Beatles in 1995 for the Beatles Anthology project, producing from Lennon demos the new Beatles songs "Free As A Bird" and "Real Love.". They were working on "Now and Then" in those sessions, but the technology at the time did not allow them to finish that song, as Lennon's demo was recorded on a cassette tape and had a lot of condenser microphone hum and piano. Was not until Peter Jackson in the "Get Back" series that AI technology allowed the elimination of the hum and the removal of the piano Lennon was playing just to isolate his vocals that the song was allowed to be completed in November '23. It's all a long way of saying that ELO was definitely in the Beatles musical orbit. Lennon in the '70's nicknamed them, "Sons of the Beatles."
The lead singer Jeff lynne died in 2023 RIP Jeff ELO was my favourite band when I was growing up especially this song I also liked breakfast in America Jeff Lynne also played in a group called the travelling wilburys made up of George Harrison from the Beatles Tom petty from Tom petty and the heartbreakers bob Dylan and JeffLynne from ELO or electric light orchestra
Nope, they were singing, "Grooooos!", a word Jeff made up with the intention of changing it later, but it grew on him so he left it in the final recording.
@@swanvictor887 There is no debate. It's, 'Groooos". Period. Jeff has confirmed it. The only deviation from that is that fans thought he was singing the man's name, "Bruuuuuuce", and when Jeff heard them all singing that instead of, "Grooooos", he also began singing it as, "Bruuuuuuce", in live concerts. But what's on the studio version has never changed, it's, "Grooooos". And quite frankly, in all my years of hearing people discuss this, I've not once -- 'til now -- heard *anyone* say he was singing, "Brusque". Good Lord. smh
wow...amazed you took the time, but hey ho. Not that I care, but 'Brusque' is a word that fits with the sentiment of the song. Have a nice day.@@Cosmo-Kramer

Great ELO songs to still check out - Sweet Talking Woman - Turn to Stone - Living Thing - Do Ya - Train to London
Jeff Lynne is such an amazing talent who has written songs for more than 50 different recording artists.
"Calling America", "Sweet Talkin Woman", and "Turn to Stone" are all great ELO songs.
Yea ... turn to stone
ELO - has so much to explore. They were great. Brits. This actually isn't my fav of all their works but still good.

I'm 64, and assure you that everyone of us singing this in the 70s were singing Bruce...even though it was Groos!
Jeff Lynne had such a phenomenal voice. When you hear those high harmonies it's just insane
I'm surprised that this is their biggest song. Not my favorite. There are so many good tunes by them. This is good.
It's my favorite jam. They played this at the local skating rink.😂🙌🏾🙌🏻✨️

Mr. Blue Sky is a classic - you’ve got to react to it! The instruments are incredible. Jeff Lynn is a genius.
The LP version, not the chopped up radio version.
