You have no idea how helpful this was! I was never taught how to shave (with a razor and guard), and have just been winging it, thus shaving down and butchering my beard. Now I know I have to go up! Super helpful!
That approach has never worked well for me. I've found that it doesn't trim the beard as much as it should and I keep going over the same spot over and over again
As long as I can remember you always go against the grain for an even cut. You push the hairs up with the clippers and the hair lays back down into the clippers when you cut leaving nothing behind that's uneven, with the grain you're pushing the hair flat and then running it over leaving lots of hair uneven
seeking perfect cheek line and even sides always f up my beard and i have to start over and over growing it again it's an obsession. i need a new mind set any tips will be appreciated , i have heavy one and grow fast
Cool video. If you want to keep it shorter or truer to the attachments size, go from the top down. When you come from the bottom up, it takes more off.
Thanks. This actually helped. I turned 50 and said F' it, I'm growing a beard. I've had a goutee for the past 10 years which I just kept trimmed free hand. But had no idea how to use the attachments that I have collected over the years the proper way. Now, off to try these out.
Great Video. My question is this, why do you go against the grain (upwards) as opposed to with the grain (down)? I've used trimmers once or twice, and my wife being a hair stylist, told me to go with the grain.
I agree that going with the grain is the “correct” method but it’s never worked well for me. I’ve found trimming against the grain provides a more even and consistent cut, as it lifts the hairs and allows the clippers to catch them more effectively. This ensures a closer and more precise trim, especially when aiming for a uniform length
I can’t seem to get a guard that gets me to the level of light stubble. Like how my beard looks after 3-4 days of being unshaven it’s so frustrating bc rn I’m just shaving every teusday so my beard looks nice for the weekend. But I hate being clean shaven. I’ve tried a 1/2 guard and after like a week of being unshaven it doesn’t even trim it. And I’ve tried no guard but it pinches my skin and it makes my beard looks uneven
Same! Like you, I’ve yet to find a way to maintain the perfect stubble length. Weekly shave is the best I can do. Might have to make a video and look into this more…
Right! None taken. A lot of guys get frustrated when they first start growing thinking they can't grow a thick beard but in reality it just takes time to fill in
Also it would be awesome to show us your beard growing journey if you decide to grow it big again :)
That’s the plan! Looking to do a 5 week series to start 💪🏽
Might be the best beard trimming video I’ve ever seen so informative, honest and into the point
Bro that mustache was insane have to keep that look
lol Thank you! Looks like I'm bringing it back!

1 with the mustache - best look. Might give it a try
Stubble and mustache was an absolute chad combo
The 5 was a good one
Tache definitely. Though I just finished watching the series about the 100th pilots :D
Answered so many questions I had 😂 great video

henry cavill moustahce + scruff was the best look imo

Glad you liked it!
All right, I'm not going to lie that mustache my boi... You definitely could've rocked that lol
I’m bringing it back!
Question....i thought when you trim a beard you are suppose to go with the growth....trim downwards??

To clarify. If you go from the top down, it takes off LESS hair, so your beard will be longer. Always go top down.
You have a nice facial bone structure.
I have a round face with a double-chin. :(
Thank you!
Hit the gym
Awesome video. Very helpful 👍🏼

Awesome! Let me know if you have any questions along the way

Great video 😀. The1 looked v good 👍
Thanks for the video.
Of course! Thanks for watching!
Did you keep the mustache at 10mm before you shaved it off?
Sure did!
Thanks for the short and to the point video - also, I agree with the other commenter about you rockin' the beardstache :D
Also also, ya got a nice smile, my guy!
Thank you! Guess I have to bring it back!
The no guard and the shaver were your best look. You could have gone further and wet shaved with a razor to really see yourself without a beard.
Solid!
Thanks for your sacrifice.
Ha looks like Magnum PI with that mustache 😂
You look like Dr Disrespect in the end haha
hahaha...I wonder if the look will improve my skills 🎮
Dudes a vampire. Check those canines out
I do love Halloween
From villian to joker
Jealous of your beard then you shave it off lol. Keep the beard
Now go and stand in the shower with your face next to shower head for about the next hour or so.
😂😂
#6
noooo not the mustache T_T
so what did your wife say??
She was in shock for a few minutes...couldn't say a word 😂
Great video. I’m thinking about cutting mine. It’s 6” now thinking about going to a 1” for summer. Maybe shorter after watching this.
INSTANT REGRET
Beard
Wow I mean no offence but it's amazing for how much of a strong bared you have when it's long how poor it is when it's short 😂

Why are you hiding that handsome face behind a beard and mustache? That's just my opinion.
JESUS LOVES YOU
