Its a massive change you look good without it. Its funny how young people can look without a beard. Question why shave against the grain? I get lots of ingrown hairs if i go that short.

Sometimes we men want to be seen by cutting the beard :). I've shaved mine off due to a responsibility I have but will grow it again when the responsibility is no longer.

Currently rocking a Curly Bill from Tombstone Mustache + Soul Patch look. Haven’t felt the need to grow the beard out at all and I think it’ll be that way for a while. Great video, Greg. Oh no. I know you said your beard wasn't your identity. But for me, after retiring from the military, it's become my new self expression. It represents the next chapter after almost 23 years of shaving. Now, I didn't shave on the weekends or during leave, but does 7 days of stubble really make a beard? No it does not. But now, I can feel free and love what I see in the mirror. Now the biggest question is what scent of oil do I use and how long do I want to let it grow. Simple pleasures my friend.

I nephew recently shaved off his beard after having one for years. He looks absolutely incredible with a clean shaven face. He looks younger and more athletic. You suit both the clean shaven look and the beard look. Whatever floats your boat.

[/sarc] I do have to say if mine came in that thick I would never shave it off. That's a rare gift you have. I'm glad you cut out a large goatee, but why didn't you stop at other styles on the way down like a short goatee and horseshoe stache? I had a goatee about 20 years ago and shaved it off, but I kept a mustache long enough to take a few digital pics and I somehow lost them. I really wish I had those pics!
You look great, whatever, but, the "stubble" look, was the best, for me. I've had a short beard for about 10 years now, I don't have the patience to do much growth/grooming, so I trim it once a week. Beats the Hell out of wet shaving every day! 😉😉
10 years younger without the beard but 10 years cooler with the beard! I prefer the latter by a lot, but you can rock both. Few men can do so, especially when the top is bald aswell.

No you taught me everything I know about beards. Haha I did the same thing before myself. And for me I regretted it. Once I hit 40 in my family your face seems to get fat so having my beard completely avoids that. That’s why I’ll never start over again. Hope you’re happy with your decision. I shaved a big viking goatee last friday. And while i have a strong jawline…..i regret it so much. My long hair feels lost and i do not like my own face now. When i was young i was more into a military look, short hair, clean shaven but i guess now i prefer the viking look :)

I shaved mine off Friday I'm already growing it back lol I normally just do a box style beard or business beard anymore the 9mm is my favorite

Oh man. Both fits you. I'm playing with the thought to shave mine off too ... i turned 50 2 weeks ago and i think it's a good an new beginning, but some areas of my face are victims of gravity ;)
