I loved the energy from the critics. It was awesome to see how encouraging they were, since the world of food is so cut throat. Fantastic video and awesome way to shed light on how cooking can be art :)!
Michelle Khare's Challenge accepted episodes has definitely increased my gratitude for everyone and everything, from chefs to cops to models to film and just life in general!!! We live in a great world filled with such amazing people!!
Season 1 of chalenge accepted, "choping vegatables and stuff" Season 2 of chalenge accepted, "shooting guns and getting tased and pepper sprayed and escaping a live fire"
Were you holding on the shell onto a wet surface or were you placing your three fingers wrong? Sometimes people are in a rush downtime and don't see their safety.
Dishwasher here: I have burned and cut myself. Burned because line cooks did not tell me there was a hot saute. The scar is slowly fading. cut when I had to toss garbage at the back and a broken glass sticked out the trash bin and sliced my finger. Had to use special cut glue to seal the wound.
Michelle I have to say that I am in awe of how you are always doing such DIFFERENT challenges on your channel! You’ve so much variety to offer, and that’s amazing. I wish this video would’ve been a series though. Like each day filmed as one video. Even though I enjoyed this whole video itself too
Having a trash bowl on my counter is honestly the best tip I've ever got from a cooking video. I can't believe how such a simple thing makes so many tasks so much easier.
Not even a video about cooking can be without sexistic comments. You all came from that "stick everything in hole", so how about an little less disrespect.
As a full time cook, I can say that this video made me so happy. Most people don't understand the stress and the hard work that is put into the dishes and in this video you show regular people how much effort there really is!
That noise after the judge dude said “it was a little over cooked” was so Hell’s Kitcheny ( yes, im aware kitcheny isn’t a word *ITS A VIBE* ) o mi gosh I love it!!
Michelle! I've watched videos of you doing multiple challenges and regardless of what they were one thing you do each time is GIVE IT YOUR ALL and PUSH YOURSELF REGARDLESS OF HOW INTENSE OR COMPLICATED IT IS!! And in the end you rock it out and come out on top!! It motivates me every time to do what I think is impossible also and not quit until I've succeeded, I was born with Sickle Cell Disease, a blood disorder where red blood cells sickle (hence the name), become super sharp and super sticky and gets trapped in your vessels causing severe uncontrollable chronic pain known as a Sickle Cell crisis... I've never known what it feels like to be pain free but I'm now the proud mom of a beautiful 1yr old baby girl, so when I'm not admitted in the hospital or going to the ER (at least once a month) I'm raising my baby. So thank you for the motivation, and please continue to make these videos!!😘😘😘😘
As someone who started cooking at age 3, I have to say I'm constantly amazed at how few people I know are comfortable in the kitchen. I get that people are busy, but something is severely lacking in our society that such a fundamental part of life is not a part of basic education at home or in school. Children can do much more than adults give them credit for, and future adults won't be able to do much if not encouraged as children. It doesn't have to be rigorous training or even something you do every day, but I beg parents to take time now and then to let your kids make a mess in the kitchen. Let them burn a few things. Let them try ideas that fail spectacularly. Just let them try. Let them learn. Help them grow into self-sufficient adults. Cooking for yourself is cheaper, often healthier, and can save you time if you make enough to portion out and freeze for later use. Most cooking is not labor intensive. Neither is most baking. While I may take 3 days to make good croissants, I can have a great breakfast that includes biscuits and gravy made from scratch on the table in under 30 minutes. If someone like me who grew up poor, had no training whatsoever, and has never eaten meat can impress people with her chicken and beef recipes, as well as have a local cult following for her baking, I can't imagine how anyone else would have trouble learning. Most people online make things seem harder than they have to be at home because they have to be impressive to garner clicks and likes. Most of them are not chefs. Don't let them intimidate you. Try some basics, add things that sound interesting, and if the end results suck, try again. Food is life. Enjoy it, and don't let anyone dictate what you should or shouldn't be doing in the kitchen in terms of taste and style. All that matters is that you made it yourself and you liked it. The end. :)
This is very true! I love to cook, from different things to everyday food. I think it's essential to know the basics, because food is such a big part of our lives. I started to get interested at about 13 years old and today are 5 years learning more and more. Unfortunately the career in cooking is not for me as I have back problems and it would be difficult. But, I still cherish this love of cooking every day, showing it through my food to anyone who wants to see it 🥰💕 Sorry for the mistakes in writing, English is not my language
I was expecting him to at least describe what he liked about the food...........that is what I would have done. He didn't need to know a lot about food or find flaws, just add a little commentary to play the part (he knew what a production her shows are) of a judge and at the same time earn himself brownie points.
I work in hospitality. Front of house for years. Love it so much and being in the industry and seeing whats behind the scene and not a customer you get a real gratitude of what goes down in a kitchen. Its hard work and producing art on a plate. Beautiful video. Loved it.
Im 12 almost 13 and my dad is a head executing chef who cooks since 27 years and I’m also so good at cooking and I always make food for my family when we celebrate something :3
The best feeling ever: Watch someone enjoy something you cooked. 👌👌👌 The kitchen is a place to experiment, have fun and just transform the plain ingredients into something delicious. The fear attracts the fail: if you are scared of being burned I can assure you'll be. Don't be scared, just have fun!
I think you are my new Idol, I love what you do and all the things you do and how u care and take time and pride to doing everything you want to try. I want to be just like you and become a chef, and so much more. I am so happy I found your channel, you make me smile and encouraged to do so many things! Thank you!
Michelle, you're such a huge inspiration, especially since I've been struggling with social anxiety recently. It's amazing to see you being so brave and trying so many new experiences
Sam Halligan only recently? Omg, me too! I've always been kind of shy but this past year I've had actual anxiety attacks and it's out of control. Well, no, in the past few months I've started to control it a little. Michelle's videos have that same effect on me. It actually helps a lot to see the part on every video when she struggles and then she does it anyway.
latronqui Usually I can keep my anxiety under control, but because it's Summer, there's been a lot of pressure to go out with friends/family and to go get a job. It's been making my anxiety flare up quite badly.
As someone who works in the kitchen almost everyday. It IS difficult and a lot of people say mean things. You just have to shake it off and make the next ticket. You did so great!!
i am honestly surprised she didn't start crying, as a culinary student i witness some other students having a really hard time taking criticism and they end up either changing their career path or transferring. you did a great job!
"I've cut myself a couple times" a couple of times a day, yeah. We don't complain, we brag about how well yesterday's burn healed and how it doesn't even hurt 😂
Horseback riding- people think that it is easy, and horses do all the work- or that sitting on a horse, going on a trail ride is the same as being an equestrian.. Far from the truth- I would love to see you take some lessons and jump a small course successfully!
I used to think it wouldn't be that hard riding a horse, because you're just sitting down. But then I actually went riding with a friend and couldn't walk the day after. It looks easy, but it's not natural to sit with something forcing your legs apart like that. 10/10 would do it again though, horses are great.
ChasingDreams it is extremely hard! I rode competitively for quite a few years and can be VERY physically demanding- but mentally rewarding to bond with an animal. 🐎
This is a really enjoyable video to watch! Cooking has been a passion for me. For a while, though, I've lost the 'wow' factor for doing it. It was really refreshing to watch you learn and be amazed with the small things. Good job! You did great!
Same thing for me. It was actually something that I was very interested in, even was a career thought. It sorta lost its pezazz after a while but this video is really starting to turn those gears again:)
Omg those chef jokes tho This was a super awesome video to watch even though I have no clue about cooking. Hey, who knows, I might use some of those handy little tips in the future!
It's so hard to find good teachers, you know. If we had an enthusiastic teacher like this for everything, life would be so simple, and learning would be so much fun ♥
In college, it was the enthusiastic professors, even for seemingly boring subjects, that the lessons stuck with me over even classes for my major. It’s a world of difference.
Wow Chef Joel has officially stolen my heart. He seems like the type of guy that anyone could easily get along with. Also appreciated all the judges, they were all very inclusive and mindful of including Matt and providing you with a balance of constructive feedback and genuine praise. Great video!
Man, learn to basic cooking is bit challenging and I trying to develop my skills to support myself and not give up on my own. My respect to Michelle who up to challenge.
I’m the executive chef of the highest rated private club in Dallas/Ft Worth. It takes many many years of hands on cooking to build the muscle memory necessary to successfully operate in a professional kitchen. Props to Michelle for taken on this challenge. I wouldn’t fire you simply based on your tenacity and willingness to learn. Good job.
I love this channel for a whole host of reasons. First it's amazing to see someone who picks up skills so quickly and can adapt to so many scenarios. It's great to see a woman shine in so many professions that some people would consider to be "men's jobs". For the record I myself am a man so don't @ me saying "ew feminist". Thirdly the pacing and editing is always on point, and the challenge at the end always keeps me here until the very last second. I hope this series goes on for a long time.
I cook all the time and watch Food Channel religiously and I learned more in this video than 90% of the things I watch regularly. Keep up the good work Michelle!
i am on a Michelle binge and it is SO strange going back to these older videos on her challenge and seeing that she was dating Matt! Marsherria B LOL all good service people have those experiences! I cut my hand while slicing a fucking bagel when I worked at Einstein’s LOLOL
Джинзó Аркайдия crazy glue works too…
I just burnt my self reheating a biscuit 😅
Chef Joel kinda reminds me of Christian Grey (a little)
Yessssssssssssss. Even better than Jamie dornan.
Yessss
I have fallen in love with the chef😅😅😅
belinda nyame OH LALALA❤️❤️
I see that
Michelle I have to say that I am in awe of how you are always doing such DIFFERENT challenges on your channel! You’ve so much variety to offer, and that’s amazing. I wish this video would’ve been a series though. Like each day filmed as one video. Even though I enjoyed this whole video itself too
I agree! I just wanted to see more of Michelle in the kitchen! Maybe a mini series can be born from this???
“I’ve been literally doing everything wrong” .. story of my life
Having a trash bowl on my counter is honestly the best tip I've ever got from a cooking video. I can't believe how such a simple thing makes so many tasks so much easier.
“You get in there with like 2-3 fingers and you start working in”
-Chef Jules
I’m sorry I just had to
now, that's a real chef joke. ( I'm a chef, believe me, most joke's in the kitchen are like that one)
I was looking for a comment like this one.
**Chef Joel
i was searching for this comment lmaoo
Not even a video about cooking can be without sexistic comments. You all came from that "stick everything in hole", so how about an little less disrespect.
As a full time cook, I can say that this video made me so happy. Most people don't understand the stress and the hard work that is put into the dishes and in this video you show regular people how much effort there really is!
Your content is so good it is Shane Dawson level. Having the patience to work on a project and make it great is amazing! Love you!
20:08 love how mat is just chowing down
That noise after the judge dude said “it was a little over cooked” was so Hell’s Kitcheny ( yes, im aware kitcheny isn’t a word *ITS A VIBE* ) o mi gosh I love it!!
You are literally the most underrated TH-camr!!!!!❤️❤️❤️
But, I still cherish this love of cooking every day, showing it through my food to anyone who wants to see it 🥰💕
Sorry for the mistakes in writing, English is not my language
Am I only one who thinks, the chef looks like a mixture of Penn Badgley and Jamie Dornan !?
Omg same 😂😂 I tought I was the only one thinking that he looks like a mix of Penn Badgley and Jamie Dornan
I'm french so sorry for my english 😫
Omggg i was literally saying that to myself and then i read ur comment!!! He really does
EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I subscribe to your channel do I get a prize
Finally found a youtuber I can actually look up to no matter what my personal interest is🤭cuz she does everything!😯💜💜
You should check out Liziqi channel
the others are judging Michelle's food while matt would be just eating and "it'S gOoD"
I was expecting him to at least describe what he liked about the food...........that is what I would have done. He didn't need to know a lot about food or find flaws, just add a little commentary to play the part (he knew what a production her shows are) of a judge and at the same time earn himself brownie points.
You think he would've dared to say anything else and NOT eat delicious food?!
You took a lot of *Kare* with those dishes! 😂
Jen Klen Chef Joke XD
seinfeld theme plays
Hmmm Ha ha ha 😑😑
😂😂😂😂
Life of Brenna what the fuck
I work in hospitality. Front of house for years. Love it so much and being in the industry and seeing whats behind the scene and not a customer you get a real gratitude of what goes down in a kitchen. Its hard work and producing art on a plate. Beautiful video. Loved it.
Im 12 almost 13 and my dad is a head executing chef who cooks since 27 years and I’m also so good at cooking and I always make food for my family when we celebrate something :3
The 2 actual critics : Yeah so it’s tender and has a nice crust on it, it could use some more spices.
Matt : Yum, good.
The best feeling ever: Watch someone enjoy something you cooked. 👌👌👌
The kitchen is a place to experiment, have fun and just transform the plain ingredients into something delicious. The fear attracts the fail: if you are scared of being burned I can assure you'll be. Don't be scared, just have fun!
Me: *trying to figure out if my gaydar is correct*
Chef Joel: I think Charlotte's my favorite. I just resonate with her.
Me: Called it.
Madison my gaydar tingled too
Lol says the person with a homophobic slur in their name 🙃
Madison how do they have a slur (I’m not against you I just want to make sure I don’t say it or anything)
@@hiffahyphae6707 the f slur.
angel66_jh ooohhh ok 👌 (I don’t think I saw that the first time I looked at it thx)
“I’ll correct that statement. It’s f***ing delicious!” 😂
I think you are my new Idol, I love what you do and all the things you do and how u care and take time and pride to doing everything you want to try. I want to be just like you and become a chef, and so much more. I am so happy I found your channel, you make me smile and encouraged to do so many things! Thank you!
I always wanted to be a chef and this video helped me out pursue my dream of becoming a chef
*pens Michelle a TH-cam Red deal*
Olivia Marie MUA no cause if we dont have YT red we cant watch her 😢😢
Mae agree
@@msait8247 yeah😪
i am honestly surprised she didn't start crying, as a culinary student i witness some other students having a really hard time taking criticism and they end up either changing their career path or transferring. you did a great job!
"I've cut myself a couple times" a couple of times a day, yeah. We don't complain, we brag about how well yesterday's burn healed and how it doesn't even hurt 😂
That cooking teacher is soooo likable!
Omg horseback riding is so fun but hard, like I have trouble walking after it
Yeehaw
I know this is not the same but...
At summer camp we get to ride horses. I eventually got terrified of them...soooo yeah
I love the critic's reactions to matt's comments. haha
Matt is a man of few words... and I figured he's Michelle's BOYFRIEND so MAYBE he would want to say more LOL -Nguyen Tran
omg the ending with the chef being sassy I'm dead. I love the judges "a man of many words I love him" LOL
I love how the other chefs were making good points and her roommate was just like, it’s good every time
Sister stressed.
Ishan Ali woahh, you are creeping me out at this point. I see you everywhere
Meee toooooooooo!
Lol
Thought you only followed muslim youtubers lol. good to see you on here
Fuck you arab
This is a really enjoyable video to watch! Cooking has been a passion for me. For a while, though, I've lost the 'wow' factor for doing it. It was really refreshing to watch you learn and be amazed with the small things. Good job! You did great!
Same thing for me. It was actually something that I was very interested in, even was a career thought. It sorta lost its pezazz after a while but this video is really starting to turn those gears again:)
Omg those chef jokes tho
This was a super awesome video to watch even though I have no clue about cooking. Hey, who knows, I might use some of those handy little tips in the future!
The two professional judges were AMAZING, I loved how amused they were with Matt 😂
Michelle being shocked at literally everything (especially removing the seed from the avocado) is such a mood 😂😂😂😂 omg SAME
Pit, not seed
"Where do the kids from Master Chef come from?" Michelle asking the real questions!
Okay but why is there chemistry between them!? 🙈✨✨✨
Man, learn to basic cooking is bit challenging and I trying to develop my skills to support myself and not give up on my own. My respect to Michelle who up to challenge.
this chef was savage!
21:04
" A man of many words, I love him. "
:)
Okay when he was fingering them egg yolks , what them fingers do?
Alejandra Ramirez i was looking for this comment lmao
I came to the comments exactly as that scene passed to see if anyone thought what I thought...
Lmao the likes 69
This is great and I also love how you integrated the ad, so great. This video is amazing :D
Damn that chef is 🔥
This guy is great. He actually has a sense of humor unlike the other people you’ve worked with ❤️😂
The energy between them is sooo wholesome...
I love seeing the editor's side of things in videos, it's done in a very funny way in 99 of 100 cases.
I cook all the time and watch Food Channel religiously and I learned more in this video than 90% of the things I watch regularly. Keep up the good work Michelle!
I wish this was a thing... Like a 1-4 week crash course in to high quality cooking for people who just want to learn how to make delicious food!
Jury duty had me in tears, hahahahahahaha
lmao i was dreading it so bad
I can confirm Michelle Khare was because it was literally the first thing she mentioned after we finished filming. ^_^
i am on a Michelle binge and it is SO strange going back to these older videos on her challenge and seeing that she was dating Matt! Just because now she is married to Garrett and I never even knew she was dating anyone else
So happy to see her relationship then, and happy for her joy of marriage with Garrett now
Humongous food on the plate: cheap
Tiny amount of food on the plate: expensive
Humungous what?! 😂😂if you know you know
