I love these sketches because I love the couple. No matter how dumb they are they are so loyal and loving to each other. Who would've thought such knuckleheads would be relationship goals?
Rachel Dratch actually went to Lexington High School, and Amy Poehler went to Burlington High in the next town over at the same time

I've lived in Massachusetts for my entire life and have never seen those before. The ones in this sketch are dirt cheap and easy to find. Lol! Also, some of these actors are from greater Boston, Massachusetts. Lol! Maybe the rest of New England uses needlessly specific hotdog rolls, but north-eastern Massachusetts uses whatever is the cheapest to buy.

Lol, I lived in RI for four years, totally forgot about that. Those things looked so weird to me at first, but they are tasty, softer and fresher tasting than the normal kind.

Grew up in the area so this is quite entertaining :) Their accents are actually pretty well-pronounced (much better than many film actors I've seen), even though you have to really commit with your inflection to sound like a true Bostonian

Rachel Dratch and Jimmy Fallon were marvelous in these sketches. What wonderful comic actors! I wish Jimmy had not taken the role of host of a late-night show because then he would be doing comic acting like the genius that he is.

Hearing Billerica mentioned in an SNL sketch about Lexington High is very weird. Lol! I grew up in Dracut, MA (greater Lowell, MA). I lived in North Billerica for about a year a few years ago. I *NEVER* hear cities other than Boston in media!
*I am aware many actors, including a few in this sketch, are from eastern Massachusetts. That doesn't make me any less happy about this.
People from Lexington definitely do NOT have that accent. At least not usually

I think they are just saying that they are unfamiliar with Boston/American accents and found it hard to understand the jokes because the accent was so thick (and badly portrayed). This person may actually be in Italy or some where else in the world watching this. Not necessarily used to hearing this.

Paltrow did really well with the accent, way better than Fallon. Dratch and Poehler are obviously the only ones who can do a real Boston accent.
