@@moballardful No she doesn't. Not everyone from there has a southern accent. Britney did away with any accent she may have had as a child. Just watch her interviews from when she was 8-11 years old. No accent at all.

That's Boston Irish stuff performed by natives. They are so on the mark with the pitch and pronounciation that is so Southey. No matter what's on the written page. They all blend beautifully.

@@MichaelMurphy-kj3xf I stand corrected. Lazy assumptions because I've lived in New Englande for decades.
My people were Bronx Irish (Murphy Murchadha) on mom's side- right off the boat 1900s.)- but that's (the Irish part of the Bronx) all gone. Southie is a different world with quite the history. The actors have some of the tones and rhythms of 3-4 generation Irish American kids. Nobody is poking fun at anyonep. That's what I responded to . It would have been neat if Molly Shannon had played Rachel's part just because Molly is native irsh but grew up here.
Fallon probably wrote this because it’s one of the few skits I’ve ever seen him in where he didn’t steal the spotlight with his predictable ‘break’.
