    What a great reaction. I am glad you were able to share all the a capella groups with your mom. I love her face at the end on Geoff's note.

    Y'know, this is one of my favorite songs to watch reactors see for the first time, too. This and... just about anything from Geoff's solo channel. It is just so satisfying to see them blown so completely away by it.

    Just discovered your page, but have you checked Geoffs version of Take Me Home Country Road, get your sub-woofers ready and J has also , just recently, left the group, he's joining the Navy. Also, Geoffs cover of Headless Horseman is fun and a great intro to his stuff

    Both Geoff and Tim both have a five octave range which is unearthly !

    • @Karl-Walter
      @Karl-Walter 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Geoff and Tim (Foust) both admire Tim Storms, who sports a range of twelve octaves (G/G#−7 to G/G#5). --> en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Storms
      Listen to Tim Storms "Lonesome Road" and prepare to get rattled beyond belief.

    Voice Play are totally independent in everything they do & free from any record deals ( their choice ). This gives them the freedom to arrange any song & put their own twist on it at the same time staying true to the original.

    You should check out their video of "Just Sing". It's a MASSIVE collaboration with other a capella artists, including Tim Foust of Home Free. If/when you do, be sure you turn on the captions. They included information about who everyone is, as well as some rather snarky remarks.

    If all else is equal both Tim and Geoff voices will be felt equally. The frequencies of each identical note they reach will have the same effect.
    When they are on stage the speakers amplify the volume. The vibrations that can be felt are the sound system projecting the frequency on a higher volume.
    There are videos of all three rehearsing or performing without speakers it's not as audible but it still makes heads turn with a physical reaction in closer proximity.

    this is gonna be fire (intro reaction) i have seen voiceplay version like 20 times but i never saw the original so this is pretty cool. i must say for me voiceplay version is alot better. original is kinda awkward for me haha i dunno :P. actually sometimes eli does the bass in the background. but chance is more bass then eli is. tim mostly does really low growl and geoff mostly does subharmonics. thats why i want a song with tim and geoff so i can hear them together. i know there is one but they dont sing at the same time.

    Layne can cover for Geoff, he was some wicked low notes, maybe not as low as Geoff, but close. Geoff has taught them all to get lower so one can cover for him on bass when necessary. The "boomshtk" as Geoff sings "you're joking" is all Layne and that is quite a low note.

    Hello, you should react to Tim's collaboration with Peter Hollans. The song is "Misty Mountains". Peter takes the high notes and layers them to sound like a choir while Tim blows out the speakers with his bass notes. It's a masterpiece! Look up Misty mountains ,Peter Hollans featuring Tim Foust. Enjoy!

    Don't worry Mom, I've never seen it either. Not my kind of movie. But I love what VoicePlay have done with the song. Maybe see Geoff's Shenandoah. It's so beautiful. VoicePlay now have something over a thousand patrons so they're able to do more theatrical performances. Geoff has a good number also.

    This was a nice touch to see the original to get a reference point for your mom & anyone else who hasn't seen it, to better appreciate how good VoicePlay's version truly is. It is a masterclass & I definitely prefer it to the original. :-)

      They always go one better than the original. I have seen covers of My Mother Told Me, from the Vikings series and the cover of Hoist the Colours from Pirates of the Caribbean 3. I really love both of those versions by Voiceplay and in the case of My Mother Told Me, I prefer it also to the original. Hoist the Colours was not really featured as a full length song in the movie, but I can easily imagine Voiceplay doing a musical version of the entire movie. Personally, I would love to see them do some originals, I find acapella groups only ever do covers and some originals would really make it take off.
