This is so much fun, but it isn't how they normally arrange their music. Which makes it even cooler, because they can do this. I also loved that they showed that they do multiple tracks. Can't wait for you to see the next loop.

One of my favourite things is Geoff always saying he’s voice isn’t really bassy & then hearing him talk with the others. Also Cesar being younger adds to their playlists 😊

this is very different from their normal arranging, if you want to know more about how they arrange, Geoff actually has a video about it on his channel that should answer a bit more of your questions. the loop thing is just a game they play.

This is meant to emulate the tiktokers who loop lyrics adding in a different harmony line each loop to make a full product. Definitely not how they traditionally arrange. But yes, the first person gets to choose the song! Per the last VP webchat, they are still working on and perfecting how they want to do these loops. The second one, Return To Sender, is much longer and has a bit more detail. Can’t wait for you to check it out! 🙂
The first time I ever saw someone doing that was Marwan who laid down 11 tracks. I was absolutely flabbergasted. I hope they continue this. Not only is it completely entertaining, but for someone with no idea how music is arranged it gives a little bit of insight. It increases my appreciation of their talent which was already way up there.
Don't imagine that this is their usual method. This was a suggestion by Cesar which they agreed to try. Normally one person has the idea, the original concept, and does the whole thing alone. It's usually either Geoff or Layne, with some from Eli. Their second loop is even better. And to hear Geoff live at the piano try his mini of I Put a Spell on You, if you haven't already seen it,

Fully agree they all sound amazing unaccompanied, but we can't overlook the fact that Cesar did (or at least seemed to do) his whole part in one breath. That takes a *lot* of control.
It's so fun that they each have their own recording setups in their homes. Loop number two is funny also.

This is such a treat! I wonder if this was only a short, kind of, or if they're doing a full version, or if it was just an example. And yes, I adore Cesar. I love every one of the boys, but I also feel like I have a lot in common with Cesar. And I know of at least one reactor who is now friends with Cesar. I'm so jealous!

Now we need to see you react to "Return to Sender." It's so perfect that Cesar is the one who picks a brand new song that none of the older guys have heard, and then Geoff picks an oldie but goodie by Elvis. Ya know it's gonna be Elvis or Johnny Cash with him, haha!
Well, you'll have to watch the 2nd loop now to see that they do move to using D-12, and in fact it is Geoff who has a real one handy and doesn't have to use an app 🤣 Apparently, Geoff has played D&D and actually used to DM. The loop was actually Cesar's idea, inspired by something Critical Role has done in the past, he's a huge fan of them. He also knew that getting their personalities out there would definitely draw people in more. He's actually roommates with Omar Cardona, so I'm never sure if the stuff behind him is all his or some of it is Omar's.
It's Omar's studio he is recording in, so it's most likely Omar's stuff, but I'm not sure.
