They also have awesome versions of This Is a Halloween, Kidknap The Sandy Claws and What's This. If you like Disney, Voiceplay will very soon be your favourite group 😉

Your reactions were the same as mine. Now that’s how I react in anticipation to how other people will react to their videos.

Voice Play own Halloween. They are known as The Theater Kids of Acapella.

You've been quite busy, and here's another idea for an addition to your collection,
HomeFree & VoicePlay; Zombies Vs Hillbillys. spoiler, it's as funny as it sounds.

Geoff is releasing his Halloween video this Saturday, the 7th. Lots of rollercoaster with his ranges. Very beautiful song. From Nightmare Before Christmas.
Voiceplay will probably release theirs next week. Also beautiful bur very powerful.
Both of them Geoff is a Disney movie Villain.

Instead of beginning a list of my own, I thought I'd tack up my ideas here:
VoicePlay; Friends On The Other Side (from Princess and the Frog)
Geoff, solo work,; Bear Necessities; Headless Horseman; and to round out the Halloween music, The Monster Mash.
From the Voctave side of things, There's the Grim Grinning Ghost's/This Is Halloween, Mash-up; and lastly; featuring Rachel Potter, Ursula's Song from Little Mermaid, and I Put a Spell On You..Have a great time.XD

Voctave are more like a singing chorus than an acapella group.

@@marshayoung9387 What?? They are acapella. That just means no instruments.

I loved Nightmare Before Christmas immediately when the movie first came out, mainly because the music is genius, but I also love the characters and style. My favorite of VoicePlay's several Nightmare videos is "This Is Halloween."

Zero was portrayed by Layne, a baritone and the beat boxer. It just made sense given the 3 "Boys" are the tenors.

I love how much you enjoy these ! As much as I love Ken Page this is my favorite Oogie Boogie and I think Zero was there because they needed another recognizable character to make five.

I don't remember the phrase "boogie boys" occurring in the movie. They do call themselves his "henchmen", but this movie is (just barely) old enough that the PC movement had not yet quite managed to excise all gender-neutral words ending in "man"/"men" ("mailman", "chairman", etc.) from the lexicon.
If we want to retcon it now, we could just say that Shock self-identifies as a female boy. It makes at least as much sense as some of the stuff people say in all seriousness.
Zero was there because they needed a costume for Layne, and they wanted to pick something from the movie, even though, in the movie, no one else was present. The other option would've been to put Layne in the Sandy Claws role, but it would've been a little strange for Sandy to be laying down the beat all through the scene. So they elected to dress him as a member of the movie's cast who was not originally present for that scene. Also, I think it amuses someone (possibly Layne himself) to put him in a dog costume (which, this isn't the only time that has happened).

Since you are a Halloween fan, try Geoff's solo Monster Mash, VPs Hide and Seek (Ding Dong), and In the Hall of the Mountain King. VoicePlay is made up of boys with occasional women singing with them - try Wicked with Rachel Potter and Emoni Wilkins alongside VoicePlay. Maybe Zero was spying for Jack!

I don't know his name but Santa was played by Geoff's brother-in-law.

“Boys” just like “guys” was used as a gender neutral inclusive group term until VERY recent culture became insulted by that. In almost every modern language the male form of an identifier was used as the default “inclusive” term. Even moreso if the woman or women involved showed traditionally “male” personality traits, looks, or actions. This has actually made it so that several important women in historic records were thought to be men until quite a lot later in time. You will now see people use “girls” and “gals” in a similar way, even if there is a small number of guys, feminine guys, or particularly gay men involved.

Good question! I have no real answer and it bothered me in the movie too. It would have been more correct to say "Boogie's Kids", but so it was. At least you're up on many of the other Reviewers, who didn't even recognize them as the kids! Most didn't recognize Zero either. You definitely need to check out This Is Halloween. You will adore it too.

1 second per week? 1 hour is 3,600 seconds. 3,600 weeks is almost 70 years. 1 minute per week makes more sense.

A thought - from someone that watches a lot of reactions-don't try to lip synch- watch what they do.. you catch more of what they do when you aren't trying to remember lyrics.
