Coldwater makes some great products. Quick question for you, do you ever run a small chunk of meat of your soft spinners? I did it last year with small chucks of anchovies and crushed it.

I for the life of me. Have always used 12# line. One reason. You only need 1/4 the fish weight un line to catch them. AND I believe in giving That fish I got on a fifty/ fifty chance of breaking me off. Very sporting don't you think? I'm fiftynine years old. Been fishing since well I think I was born with a gun and a pole in my hands watched elk walk right by me out bow hunting. Deer also. It' All good. But I've always tried to catch reliece fish. Always been kinda selective. But since my life changed. I had to make a bit of a choice. Now I went a bit heavier with my lines. And not so selective everything costs way to much, anymore. Money vrs coming back empty handed. A salmon, steelhead cost Way more than a hundred dollars anymore depending on how far you gotta go. How long it'takes to get what you are after. Things are not as cheap as they were twenty - thirty year's ago.

I tie my stuff with double egg loops too. Have you tried the nush before? It would probably be difficult with 2/0 hooks or smaller but I like the idea of it. Having the hooks opposed every time and being able to switch out the bottom if needed (barbless or treble). I try to tie the hooks on egg loops opposing but it doesn’t always work.
I use to tie them opposing all the time but i havnt heard of the nush before

What are the specs on the rod that you are using for trolling? Would you use the same rod for buoy 10 as you’d use for trolling wind river and Drano?
I use 9' 15-40LB rods I HATE long rods and yes i use it for everything i do
I’m looking at 2 different rods, 1 has a lure rating of 1-8 oz, and the other says 1-16 oz. Are these specs to be considered with like a 12oz weight for trolling? Both are 15-40lb rods.
