I had a manager present this same situation to me and i laughed at him. He was so confused that I would refuse to take more responsibility for the same amount of pay.
The concept of competition is not in the skit. If she won't, someone else will. Possible opportunity lost. Not saying she is wrong, it's just that to the boss, it doesn't matter.
The need the 90 to recruit an outside hire. If she says yes then they will also ask her to train the one they actually end filling the role with. Its a thing sadly. They won’t promote her because then they would need to 3 people to fill her role. Hence why they play stupid ganes like this
And the “someone else” who would agree to do something like that will just end up being ruthlessly exploited by management before being discarded when they are of no value anymore. And that’s their choice of course. If they want to work unpaid or underpaid just to benefit everyone but themselves then of course they can do that. But intelligent and wise employees like Veronica see the exploitation coming and decide to put their own interests and wellbeing first.
@mikoto7693 That's a little cynical, but not untrue. There is a percentage that goes above and beyond to get promoted. One problem is budgets. Middle managers that are the ones to promote from the rank and file do not usually control the staff budget. They are constantly testing staff so that when hiring is approved, they should know their choice.
Veronica is a LEGEND 😂
Working for you had inspired me to do just enough to not get fired.

Oh, that feels like deja vu. But i resigned a week after all that shii 😂🤣
Been there, done that, never again.
Government is the exact same. Do someone else's job, but don't get paid for it.
Military life be like
And a quite quiter was born, also probably in the process of looking for a better higher paying job cause F that place right?
I don’t think Veronica would quietly quit haha. She seems too feisty to play games like that
@@ori_05oh.. *quit! Okay; thanks!
Veronica is being pretty catty while admitting that she has frequently done exactly what they are asking repeatedly.
Yeah, this shit hits home hard
“I hope that makes sense.”
No. No it doesn’t.
"I hope that makes sense." I hope this also makes sense:🖕

Its unrealistic because she would never get exemplary reviews with that attitude anyway.
