Well, the 90's were rife with sampling/reusing material from 1950 to 1989. So this was no exception. But the fact they made it sound different from the rest the song is what makes it good. Very true and the sound of the band is is for a 'PoP - song' definately on the more extreme hevier sounds... All the people wanted things, sayings and everything to be more true sdo there was this urgent need for bands like Garbage.

I was never particularly into this band when I was younger, but saw them at a concert maybe 96 or 97 and was a teen.. It might have been Ozzfest or something else, but I remember to this day that they put on a very good performance, and Shirley sounds pretty much the same live as she does in this track, and I cannot say the same with most other bands. Later on in 2006, Bleed with me came out and it was on my playlist back when Yahoo Launch was still around before Vevo stole the show, and that track really stuck with me.

Hahaha my girl! Good one. Hope your mom is doing well.
Lyrics
You can look but you can't touch
I don't think I like you much
Heaven knows what a girl can do
Heaven knows what you've got to prove
I think I'm paranoid and complicated
I think I'm paranoid, manipulated
Bend me break me
Anyway you need me
All I want is you
Bend me break me
Breaking down is easy
All I want is you
I fall down just to give you a thrill
Prop me up with another pill
If I should fail, if I should fold
I nailed my faith to the sticking pole
I think I'm paranoid, manipulated
I think I'm paranoid, too complicated
Bend me break me
Anyway you need me
All I want is you
Bend me break me
Breaking down is easy
All I want is you
I think I'm paranoid
I think I'm paranoid
Bend me break me
Anyway you need me
All I want is you
Bend me break me
Breaking down is easy
All I want is you
Steal me, deal me, anyway you heal me
Maim me, tame me, you can never change me
Love me, like me, come ahead and fight me
Please me, tease me, go ahead and leave me
Bend me break me
Anyway you need me
As long as I want you baby it's alright
Bend me break me
Anyway you need me
As long as I want you baby it's alright
Why it isn't top comment? Спасибо!
Right on😀😀🇺🇸🇺🇸💕
Thanks for lyrics....i do not like it.music...fair enough
I think she says:
Love me, like me, come ahead and fright me - not fight me?
I Love You 💗💗💗
More than 25 years on and this record still BANGS! Such a classic.
Одна из моих любимых песен была в старших классах.Ширли в клипе такая классная,даже по прошествии более 20-ти лет смотрится очень круто.
Saw Garbage last week...they were nothing short of amazing live. They so just as good as 20 years ago. Highly recommend it
If you are a true fan you must get in touched with me i know the secret and hidden story behind push it we must meet un person

41 years old. First time hearing this in 20 YEARS. EARGASM!!!
Впервые услышал эту песню в грантуризмо на ps1 , чел,ты многое потерял) Там ещё были многие известные треки
Got into this band when I was 8 years old playing this song on rock band lol. My mom was a fan in the 90s and played her CDs when I asked if she knew the group. As someone born in 2000 I miss that weird early part of my life where cds and vhs movies were the only option lol .
One of my favorite bridges in any song ever! Amazing band and amazing live!
Souds so great even 18 years later! not aged at all.
NiceCarsLover more than 18 years?! Mother of god it's hard to believe
Thanks, you just made me feel even older than I already felt. lol
well, it sounds great because 90's was a great decade. Oh god 20 years have already passed. I wanna back to 90's!
I still get shivers down my spine by Shirley Mansons voice....and it's been 25 years. GARBAGE FOREVER!
One of the greatest groups of all time! ❤️
Saw this band late 90's at Western Illinois University when they were promoting this album. How can you not fall in love with her? Total badass! Vow is still one of my favorite songs all these years later.
Świetny zespół, mają wielki talent i siłę wyrazu
"I Think I'm Paranoid"
You can look, but you can't touch
I don't think I like you much
Heaven knows what a girl can do
Heaven knows what you've got to prove
I think I'm paranoid

I think I'm paranoid
Manipulate it
[Chorus:]
Bend me, break me
Anyway you need me
All I want is you
Bend me, break me
Breaking down is easy
All I want is you
I fall down just to give you a thrill
Prop me up with another pill

Break me
Anyway you need me
As long as I want you baby it's all right
Bend me
Break me
Any way you need me
As long as I want you baby it's all right.
_“Have me, grab me, go ahead and stab me”!_ 🤣
I'll never understand the abuse of a true heart
Only the devil and his followers would take pleasure in Kicking someone when they are down
Thank you for lyrics 🤝
Shupperr
so dark and so 1998, I love it
Mi hija acaba de escuchar este temon y quedo en extasis........ Amo garbage
I definitely like her style. She can easily kick your ass with massive grunge boots and in the same time she is so girlish and fragile in her polka dot dress❤
Very true and the sound of the band is is for a 'PoP - song' definately on the more extreme hevier sounds... All the people wanted things, sayings and everything to be more true sdo there was this urgent need for bands like Garbage.
I remember the very first time I listened to this song and the impact. Loved the raw riffs, so electrifying and Shirley's voice is just... Ah, it all sound so good together even +20 years later.
It's a powerful window into the female id. The whole album is.
It's a difficult listen for males, especially for male feminists.
@@zimriel when you're gay you always resonate with female creativity, I guess due to the the fact that homophobia and misogyny come from the same place.
@@AlexOrozco-Social-Pariah It is quite possible for male homosexuals to despise women, to call them "fish" or "bimbos".
But that's not misogyny because... I guess because by definition. Same as "racism" can only happen from whites
heaven knows what a girl can do 🙌🎤🎧🎵
Olivia Ibarra Torres Powerful women can change the world with creativity, and being relentless. 💪
This will forever be an absolutely topsiding tune by a topsiding band, pure fire🔥🔥🔥🎶
90s, MTV, teenage years... Great band they are.
I love listening to music from my carefree days! Great remembering the easy college life, even if I didn't realize it was easy then.
I am very choosy about good music and listened to mostly classic rock but Garbage (STP, Bush, DMB and several others) stood out at the end of the 90s, the last time there was decent, original music in the mainstream.
+RazorEdgeBulli tommorow.
+Billy Stewart STFU with your STP and late 90's crave! you're the reason this generation is coming to an ABRUPT end! MR. BILLY STEWART JAZZ FUCKER!
+fred21679 Dude, you need to get checked and, perhaps, consider psychological help. If my comment got you that worked up, you need help, brother.
