I’m a little worried because I haven’t heard back in a few days. I drink quite a bit three days before my drug test and don’t do drugs of any sort. Even a little bit of alcohol pops up on that test I can’t be hired? They expect their drivers to never drink on their own time?
Got my cdl 5 years ago. Still smoked during my training, AL be it one week. Smoked before my road test also. Then I quit and got a job. Started smoking again about a year after starting said job, now 5 years in my luck has run out and I have a random in four days, I know I'm screwed.

I need my medical card for personal use to haul my own equipment with my F-650. Already have my Class A CDL but haven’t been using it until now and never got a medical card. Only reason I’m getting it now is because I need to go get a piece of equipment in a different state.

How do you know if someone takes certain medications? What if they lie about taking high blood pressure meds or cholesterol meds or whatever? Can’t you find out in the urine test?
So when I go get my CDL License they won’t drug test me but the school or company will?

Same here...I was like "I peed already" amd was told one was to check health and the other was drug screen, but the drug screen was "pre employment" I'm still a little confused but at least I'm going to work lol

I recently got a job that requires a chauffeur license not a CDL. However, we do drive a few commercial vehicles such as a box truck/van, F-550 & F-650. My boss told me that I will be needing a DOT exam in order to get my medical card. Is it safe to assume that I will not be getting “drug tested” ? Thanks In advance
If your boss only mentioned you will need to get a "DOT physical" then this will not require a drug test. I just uploaded a video on specific drugs that you can/can't take including prescriptions on this channel. You might want to check that video out as well.

Drug testing is not part of the DOT physical. You should be notified if a separate drug test is required.
I have my physical tomorrow and my drug test later next week are they going to test me(pre employment driver) for drug’s tomorrow or on my actual drug test appointment seems like a dumb question but I’m anxious I’ve been clear for about 2 weeks I’m just nervous

Best thing to do is go to CVS and buy the instant drug test and test yourself to make sure you are clean before you test for anyone else. Now at days if you give a dirty test it goes on a data base, and every future employer finds out. This started about a year or two ago. Also be careful with those oil vape pens. That stuff is super concentrated and stays in your system a lot longer than the old school herb!!!

Hey I have been thinking of getting into trucking and getting my CDL class A for the past few years which was back in 2018 after I graduated high school. Well now I want to start trucking and getting my cdl more than ever but the problem is that I started smoking weed about a year ago now and never knew that trucking were so strict on drug testing.
So some things about me are I’m 21 male, 198, 5’8 and with a health condition which is type 2 D. I’m currently on a weight loss journey and will also try building muscle. Well for the smoking weed I would smoke rarely only during weekends and sometimes after a long day of work. Also I started smoking daily about a month ago but have stopped smoking about two days ago because of how bad I want this career.
The main problem is that I’m scared to even try to get my cdl right now because I heard if something goes wrong in that drug test you pretty much ruin chances of getting hired.
Finally do you know maybe how long it’ll take for both urine and or hair test to come back negative?

Stay Clean
Drink Water
Workout
Test your urine in 60 Days if you come up dirty wait an additional 30 days, so 90 total
Give youself about 120 days for the Hair Follicle because you might have a higher body fat percentage since it sounds like you might not workout frequently.
Try to hit the gym at least 4-5 times a weeks
Monday
Wednesday
Friday
Sunday
Make as much of the fat into muscle because the higher the bodyfat percentage the harder it is for the thc to leave your bodyfaat cells

Hair can test for alcohol but generally alcohol is tested by breath (short time)

Hey doc got a question, I’m going to get my dot physical so I can obtain the medical card because I am gonna start a non cdl hotshot company. I have previously failed a non dot drug test about 2 years ago for taking cbd and it popped up as thc. In the dot health history form it asks a question, “ Have you ever failed a drug test or been dependent on an illegal substance ?” If I say yes will they have me take a drug test then or will they send me somewhere else to take it or will they use the urine sample that I give them for the health check ?
Pretty much what I’m asking is can a drug screen be conducted at a dot physical if I answer yes to question 32 on the dot health history form ?
drug testing is not part of the DOT physical. The examiner may use the information you put in your answers to determine if you can drive.

they may drug test you separately from the DOT physical. You would need to ask your company or the doctors office.

The DOT physical does not have a drug test but if you are getting a CDL you will need to eventually have drug and alcohol testing

I have performed 1000’s of physicals. There is no drug screen with the basic DOT physical.
It depends on your state and company your working for. I recently needed to pass a 5 panel urinalysis test. This was for a Non CDL position. I needed to a DOT medical card though. They also test your urine to see how healthy you are as a part of the physical.

Company and state have my records. It depends on the states regulations. I know for a fact the state has mine. I failed a DOT drug screening a few years ago.

the DOT physical does not require a drug test. Tylenol will not show up in any other drug test as long as it is not with codine

@@kylerider7125 If you get a good doctor doing your test they will take your BP several times until it falls within range. Check out my video on high blood pressure so you know the standards before you go.
Do they stick u with needles to draw blood during a dot physical or is it the standards exam ???… because I’m scared of needles because when I was a little kid I had to get vaccinated before I went to kindergarten and the vaccine they put on me left me paralyzed for like a month lucky my feeling came back into my legs and I had to learn how to walk again
That’s another reason I’m afraid I’m getting the vaccine because who is the say they same thing won’t happen again and it could be permanent

I can speak for every individual clinic, but checking medical databases is generally not part of the DOT physical
If your company decides to drug test you at the DOT physical. Would they use your physical urine sample? Or would it be a separate cup with a different urine sample?
I can't speak for all facilities but the drug test would almost certainly done on a separate sample.

Starting Trucking School Next Month, July 26, they said be ready for a DOT Physical and a Drug Test. I don’t want to stress it at all because im pretty active overall, weightlifting hiking etc. Its always in the back of my mind though.
I was a super heavy THC User (September- December 31st 2020) Since then I have quit cold turkey, I hope i can pass that hair follicle in the long run when getting into a company after obtaining my CDL, what do you think?

How long does thc stay in my system?

It depends on your metabolism. It can stay 3-30 days in your system. I’ve passed a urine test in 3 days by stopping, niacin vitamin B-3 (with flush), and water.
With the stuff they have now at days it can stay in your system ALOT longer!! Especially if you smoke those oil pens, that’s concentrated thc!!! The oil stays in your system a lot longer. So be careful with those Vape pens!!

No it will not be caught if you make sure the temperature is between 90 and a 100, and use high quality synthetic like quickfix. SOME labs will test for biocide but usually only if not at proper temp.he will not recommend it for the simple fact that he is a medical professional and that would be unethical

I want to get my CDL I smoke everyday for a while but not much a few pinch hits a day I quit smoking 54 days ago how long until I am clean for a urine test. I will wait until I am clean before I go I don't want to screw this up and I'm 100 percent true that I will never smoke again to better my life.
Marijuana can typically be detected in urine for a month or a little longer if you were a heavy user.

Lots of drivers here use chiropractors for DOT physicals. The DPS gives a list of certified providers to choose from and their lists include several chiropractors locally.
