What does impress me most about Geoff - and you - is his commitment to his craft. Though I do have my areas (writing/acting), I've not committed more fully to them. I just holdback, too much. Doubt is a companion I should've kicked to the curb some time ago. That said, I've had my successes in other areas; but I am impressed with the commitment you both possess for this passion. In this regard, I find you both inspiring. Rest well, Professor! Best! J
Hi Elizabeth and Geoff, I just discovered both of you on the same day about a month ago Jul2022. I searched for Ernie Ford "sixteen Tons". He had always been a longtime favorite singer of mine. Anyway, the third or fourth video was Geoff's cover. It was so amazing. then I saw some reactions to that video. Elizabeth yours was the second reaction I watched. I absolutely loved and enjoyed your joy in discovering Geoff's abilities. So, I have discovered 2 new things I am hooked on. Acapella music (Geoff) and Vocal analysis (Elizabeth). I never knew that listening to someone listening to someone' performance could be so entertaining and informative. I have come to enjoy listening to other reactors. It is really fun. Also, I am enjoying the awesome music out there. Now, and then I am done. Sixteen Tons is the most amazing cover I have ever watched. As an amateur noob to this arena, you have both spoiled my looking for more songs. I heard Geoff say he didn't think anyone would care about this song early in this video. IMO it is so hard to top what I consider to be the nearly perfect vocal and reaction videos. Thank you both for doing what you do.
Cannot wait for this. Between you and Julia I've found a new appreciation for my bass voice after being introduced to these amazing acapella groups. I hadn't tried singing low in probably 15 years and now I'm thoroughly down the rabbit hole of bass singing techniques.
I don't normally watch interviews but made an exception for Geoff. This was a great interview. Thank you Elizabeth! I have two points I want to bring up. Geoff suggested you interview a beat boxer. Yes! Adam Rupp. My second point was that I loved it when Geoff turned things around and started interviewing you! 😁😁😁 Cheers, Steve
Crazy thing --- I've been putting this off (guess knowing it was gonna be here, huh?) trying to allow for the "time", simply because once I started, I didn't want to stop/pause (had to anyway!)...... I absolutely enjoyed it!!!! OMGosh, Geoff and VoicePlay have really stepped up their game the last couple/3 yrs; Geoff, individually -- and as a group collectively. I'm speaking of the "sound", rounding out -- smoothing and blends, they all make the difference. Elizabeth, you did a phenomenal job; you hit it just right girl -- Awesome!!!!
Great interview, as always. This is a really great format. A nicely balanced mix of formal preparedness and casual coziness. (And, it never hurts when you have such personable guests like Geoff. :) )
Funny thing I think it is.......... Geoff says David Larson’s videos introduced him to subharmonics and I’ve heard David say in his videos, “This is how Geoff Castellucci the bass singer goes very low...........Subharmonics” 🤣😂😜😜 Really awesome interview. Loved it!!!
what a powerful voice this man has! OMG! Noticing he's talking "softly" for Christ sake! You can hear it resonating in the room he's in! That's really insane, I've never seen him perform live but I hope to do it in the near future. P.D.: feel free to comment your experiences and thoughts if you has been in a live performance and what you felt like, I mean, I've heard through videos and I had a little idea that he had a powerful voice, but even in his own youtube videos it's kind of filtered I asume because here I can the hear resonance of his voice so much more. LOL he answered my question during the interview, so he's a conservative singer, damn, he has so much raw power tho'.

I was just going to watch a few minutes of this as a teaser before going to bed and watch the rest tomorrow; one a half hours later I'm still here (whoops) but I literally couldn't stop listening; the interview was more interesting than some feature films I've tried to watch. I remember watching your reaction video when you first heard Geoff and your reaction was priceless. Now with you being able to interview him is wonderful.
Next step a Duet?
Geoff's eyebrows are doing something akin to what Elizabeth's do at times...a mark of intelligence and involvement in the moment, I would venture.
They are very expressive aren't they? I love watching them talk.
or autism
I CAN'T WAAAAIT OMG I'M SO EXCITED, THANKS ELIZABETH ❤️❤️❤️
Rockapella and Take 6!! I'm so glad he mentioned them. I am constantly going on about them, especially in reference to these younger bands, and no one ever knows what I am talking about.
Yup.....I'm jealous!!! Great interview
Around 1:01:30 "What's the internet?" So true! I was already a mom when it started, and internet gave me this huge wonderful opportunity to discover SO MANY THINGS I wouldn't have otherwise! Just having the opportunity to watch this interview for example, it shouldn't been taken for granted 🙂
This was amazing... Jeff saying "they have a face that is off-putting... The camera does that sometimes" had me in stitches. 🤣🤣🤣 Excellent interview and questions, your preparation was perfect!
Omg I’m so excited!!!, you’re a great coach filled with great energy and Geoff is a vocalist that has proven he can sing as high as a tenor and as low as hell haha love you both ❤️✨
He doesn't like snow?!?! Damn Floridians! If I don't get my -35 celsius, and mounds of snow through which to Cocker Spaniel myself about the countryside, for at least 6 weeks worth of Winter, then I can't properly enjoy the summer; otherwise, a great interview, Professor. Best! J
I absolutely love hearing you both nerding out! Bouncing in my chair, clapping my hands, etc. Love it!
Hi Elizabeth and Geoff,
I just discovered both of you on the same day about a month ago Jul2022.
Uhm...watched this tease on my mobile. And I could feel his voice as my mobile vibrated as Geoff spoke 🤭😅 Amazing voice 🤙
Looking forward to this 👍
16 Tons has always been a favorite song of mine. I grew up with those songs.
Cannot wait for this. Between you and Julia I've found a new appreciation for my bass voice after being introduced to these amazing acapella groups. I hadn't tried singing low in probably 15 years and now I'm thoroughly down the rabbit hole of bass singing techniques.
This is a great video. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and getting to know Geoff (and you!) a little bit better. 🥰
Cannot wait for this interview!
Yup and that's the reason I live in Arizona! 💝tor music one of my Faves🌵😊
I can listen to his voice forever! I love bass voices! Geoff, love your genuine personality.
Cannot WAIT for this!

Elizabeth, you did a phenomenal job; you hit it just right girl -- Awesome!!!!
one year later watching this for the first time and i love geoff, hes such a nice guy
Alright so in my opinion elizabeth you should do a feature with voice play. who also thinks so.
40:28 - "It seems like people, like, *track* your range in videos..."
Ma'am, we've got whole-ass *trading cards* out here with stats on 'em. ;)
So true 😂😂😂
That was Friday evening sorted! This and your reaction to My Mother Told Me 💜
Howdy Mr. Geoff....I love all of your stuff. you amaze me with every video you release.
Great interview, as always. This is a really great format. A nicely balanced mix of formal preparedness and casual coziness. (And, it never hurts when you have such personable guests like Geoff. :) )
Oh, I'm so happy this is happening! I've been waiting for this since you talked to Layne!
This is gonna be awesome! 😍😍💕
Thanks for getting Geoff on for a chat, I have now found my new favourite band 🥰 keep the content going Elizabeth x
Scott: I have this huge audition tomorrow!
Layne: Break a leg!
... wait ... what? 🤣🤣🤣
In my country they say something like "a lot of sh*t!" (literally translated). It seems a dangerous language barrier everywhere lol
Means goodluck
I know what it means! But Layne literally broke his leg 🤣
@@alexwalker8440 oh got ya
Funny thing I think it is.......... Geoff says David Larson’s videos introduced him to subharmonics and I’ve heard David say in his videos, “This is how Geoff Castellucci the bass singer goes very low...........Subharmonics” 🤣😂😜😜
Really awesome interview. Loved it!!!
16 tons is a great job, and you do an awesome job on it Geoff
I think my coworkers are tired of me singing the praises of Voiceplay and Geoff. I recommend them everywhere!
Can’t wait for this one! He seems like such a fun and down to earth dude 👍 and you always have such interesting questions
what a powerful voice this man has!
What a great speaking voice!
I’m so happy that Geoff said that Barry Carl is a big role model for him. The first time I heard Sixteen Tons was Rockapella’s version!
im late seeing this but i like how Elizabeth just casually has two large swords behind her
Love both of you! I don't know you, I'm sure you both have your ups and downs but it's clear to me that you both absolutely LOVE music! My favourite escape. P.s. Geoff, snow is amazing.. to visit! Not to live in (swedish so I know what I'm talking about 😉)
What a wonderful interview, one could literally listen to you guys talking for hours. Thanks for making my day with this insightful and fun tea time, it was very cozy!
And I would really love seeing you react/analyse Geoff's "High and Dry" cover, cause he's wrong, it's not just his favourite on the channel, I really appreciate and like that cover too - it's so pure, full of raw talent and wonderfully arranged.
I was just going to watch a few minutes of this as a teaser before going to bed and watch the rest tomorrow; one a half hours later I'm still here (whoops) but I literally couldn't stop listening; the interview was more interesting than some feature films I've tried to watch. Other people were commenting about talk shows, and I think interviews always are better when you can tell the host is a genuine fan of the person they're talking to, and that really shows here.
I might have to call in sick at work so I can watch this. I am so excited!!!!!!
You are a legend for this interview can not wait to see how it goes hehe Two of my fav TH-camrs Geoff and Elizabeth WHOOP WHOOP I would love to see you guys do a a duet of sorts ❤️
Damn, this one is going to be fun! Loved your interview with Devin Towsend, Elizabeth. I found out about him back in 2001 with his album Terria. Awesome stuff!
love that you got Geoff on, i'm sure you really wanted to interview him after listening to his songs and loving him so much.
