Jake E. fooking Lee! Ozzy and Jake should have made about 7 more albums together. Wow.
Surprising Sharon hasn't taken this down! I was there!
What’s the story??? Dose she control him or something
she's too busy spoon feeding Ozzy these days.
I met her on the Ozzfest tour in 2000. She was always very sweet to me, but at the same time, everyone on the tour knew not to do anything that would cross her or piss her off, or else she would destroy your life.
@@chebrneck Parkinson's is no joke and I don't wish it up anyone.
Imagine Parkinsons and you have to deal with Sharon and the smell of Dogsht? 😂
JAKE E. LEE Thanks for making me love Rock and Roll
In this video Jake doesn't know yet how badly the Osbournes will fuck him over credits and subsequent firing. That's why he's so happy ;-)
Of all the great guitarist. Jake is one that doesn't use a tremolo bar! Wow!
I never noticed that. I wonder what the percentage 80's guitar shredder types did not use one?
only 12%
@@MultiSkyman1 pretty sure it was around 16,35%.
I saw all three of Jake's tours with Ozzy, and he was incredible. That he played hardtails really impressed me because many of his Era would blast away quickly then go wild on the vibrato arm. It quickly became a cliché.
Cheers to Jake to daring to be different.
@@dmer-zy3rb you are absolutely wrong, it is 16,37%. i hope you get severely punished for beeing 0,02% wrong.
Tommy Aldridge in his prime, yet still a fkn legend!!❤💥 Long live Ozzy!!!
Jake E Lee. My favorite guitar player after Randy.
I think he was better than randy, he played for all the best bands and singers.
I love to watch this set...I've seen it 6 times or so and Jake is just freaking crazy to watch on his "Fiddle"...baaaaaalmao , the faces he makes and stuff😂...they sounded amazing that day and forward on....puts me in a good mood watching this! Oz was so handsome! One of the best Front Men of all time!!
Jake E. Lee is a true Master. Here he demonstrates it. Guitar God in the flesh.
In addition to his prowess, Jake had a melodic side that really resonated with me. I've never seen some of this. Thanks!
Ozzy Osbourne🎤
Jake E. Lee 🎸(Guitar)
Tommy Aldrige🥁
Bob Daisley🎸
Don Airey🎹
Don Airey also on keyboard, I believe. What a stunning band!
Thank you. Answered my question about the guitar.
Keyboard only belongs on Mr Crowley. It sounds like crap on the rest.
This was the U.S. festival may 1983..
7 months later i saw this band with Ozzy in The Netherlands.
10th of december 1983 never will forget it.
you were at the village people concert and confuse it with ozzy
What A MONSTER Talent Working Like Ozzy Did .....Love Him !
A strong version of the ozzy line up. Jake very much underrated
What’s up with boomers and their mentality of thinking that everything is “underrated”? It’s so cringe and annoying.
Jake is easily the fan favorite. The majority of fans cite him as their favorite Ozzy guitarist.
There are underrated musicians out there, but the biggest and most beloved names in rock are not them.
@@evanoglesby9504what’s up with goober azz 🤡🤡🤡 labeling people they don’t know in real life? Str8 up 🤡 comment ya goober head💯HAHA!!
@@evanoglesby9504 More overlooked, but not really underrated in his day.
We grew up viewing Randy as a hero who never really went away.
Jake’s era was short and a low point for Oz.
Sharon released Randy Rhodes Tribute in ‘87. It sold well and was followed by Ozzy’s FIRST successful US tour. It was celebrating Randy with the new gun named Zakk who was instantly loved and stuck around to make some great records. That era was a huge comeback for Ozzy. Zakk gets praised for saving Ozzy by breathing new life into him.
Jake is very overlooked but certainly not underrated. If you play guitar and love Ozzy, you know it’s Tony, Randy, and Jake only.
Im am so glad TH-cam exists bc now i can experience the things i could never
holy shit I know i'm getting old now so I forget things but I think this is the first time I have seen the video with "fairies wear boots" ... christ this is awesome
What a great band and Ozzy sounds in excellent form! Fantastic footage! Thanks for posting!
Jake E. and Randy would have had a ball playing together !!!! Thanks for this !
I was there !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was stunned about guess who ? And I was going too one gig a week for nearly one year in London and so Reading and Monsters 1980
Bass and Drum are sounding great here
Bob is honestly the best bass player and writer, too bad Ozzy and Sharon robbed him, he deserves way more credit than given
FINALLY! After seeing bits and pieces of Ozzy's set over the years, starting with the 3 songs per band that MTV gave us way back when, then other posts here on TH-cam, this is so GOOOOD. Full set, guitar mixed strong, band sounds amazing, crowd going rapid. Brilliant. THX U!
They sound incredible! Jake is spot on and amazing!!
Jake may not have been my favorite but i thought he was the most skilled of all the west coast 80s Gunslingers, he was already amazing here and just kept getting better during his time with Ozzy.
Ozzy kicking ass great entertainer has a great sense of joy
THE PHENOM JAKE E LEE SOUNDS LIKE 3 GUITARS BY HIMESELF,,,THE PHENOM,,
❤this ! I was there(all weekend). I’ve seen a few versions of this show, this is the first to have ALL the songs, including Faries wear boots. Outstanding!😎🎸
Can you imagine how many people he has inspired ❤
When i used to live in the USA My first concert Diary of a Madman in West Virginia February 3, 1982 Charleston Civic Center i was 15 years old.
brilliant! thanks for posting. also gives me continued hope that someone, somewhere, someday will uncover full high quality footage from Randy Rhoads era touring.
Thank-you for the post, sounds great!❤️🎸😎👍
Lee, Aldridge, Sarzo. Killer classic lineup! Sounds so good. When Ozzy's not singing, he reminds me of that cat that with the homemade Sabbath shirt that was peaking at the '75 Don Kirshners rock concert set. My 1st ever concert was that lineup, that year, in Tampa
No Sarzo here. Great Bob Daisley on bass.
@@koopee27 Yeah, I think he left after the crash?
@@MultiSkyman1he left after the Diary tour was over
Us festival back in 83 was amazing lots of great bands and best concert ever this was the shit .great memories
Jake just flat owning those songs. Bark at the Moon was written by this lineup. Both Bob Daisley and Jake not getting proper credit or payment for those songs.
Bob admitted he took buyouts for his songs and came to regret doing so
I loved the Lee/Aldridge/Daisley/Airey lineup.
Jake E F*cking LEE Was the GOAT! He went on to join the band Badlands with Ray Gillen Greg Chaisson and Jeff Martin there best album was Voodoo Highway!! 🖤
The old footage is the best in my opinion thanks
Damn Jake E Lee holding those notes without a vibrato bar is I N S A N E❗️The Ozzman sounds great as always and same with Tommy Aldridge! Unfortunately idk who Bob Daisly and Don Airey are (Sorry people in the comments section don’t END me I’m young) Wow thank you for the upload, 🤘🏻🤩🤘🏻
Bob Daisley is the bass player. He also wrote virtually all of Ozzys lyrics. One of the great hard rock lyricists.
There's an OUTSTANDING Tommy's DRUM SOLO-35:05 Even when he drops the sticks, it's wild!!🫨!❤ The Magnificent Ozzy, No matter When or Where I see him perform.
Peak Aldridge.
Tommy and Bob, what a monstrous rhythm section
AT LAST.... GOOD QUALITY!!! WHAT A GIG!!! 🔊💎
Reagan Rock n Roll
great drummer and guitarist. Was this before or after Judas priest?
Thank you. Awesome share
Great concert. Ozzy was high as a kite during this performance.
So Was I
There's something very zen about Jake's solo.
The best drum solo ever
Jake ripped that thing to f+cking shreds!
Brilliant! The Zulu/Native American Indian costume - Never done before, Never done again!
I WAS THERE!
me too! Bob D on bass professional!
My gawd Jake kicked major arse here!!!! He joined Ozzy just a few months earlier, yet he could pick up every song here. Jake is forever my favorite Ozzy guitarist. The difference between Jake and Zakk is that Zakk IMO overplayed the guitar -- especially the pre-Zakk songs. Jake stuck to the original styles of Randy and Tony the best he could, keeping the spotlight on Ozzy.
I absolutely DESPISE directors who never get the cameras to focus on guitarists when they are playing a solo. 🤬 Btw, Jake absolutely nailed Randy's solo on Over The Mountain. 👏
The fairies wear boots went hard af
I love Zach Wild, but Jake E Lee was definitely the man to fill Randy's shoes!! I heard Sharon as usual stuck her nose where it doesn't belong! Ozzy fried his brain wayyy too soon and he had no idea!!
Ozzy STILL sounds so much better than...Vince Neil (nowadays). Can't understand a damn thing Vince "sings" during the recent live Crue concerts. My vote is for Ozzy!
THIS was a Band!!! Wow… cheers ~
holy hell my godness ozzy ozzy ozzy
Zakk is good, Jake is Gold, but Randy is God!
the best of the world
ozzy forever
Jake E Lee que estilo, el nació con la estrella que es , eres el mejor que , dejen descansar a Randy, dejo su legado
Jake shredding with a glove on.
Think of it like being on the shovel for months on end, but the women, travel, and paychecks are better!
🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭
Maybe I’m ignorant but Jake is in top 3 guitarists for Oz including Rhodes and Wylde
@@DrTomMD Jake is definitely number two, after Randy. Zakk is a distant seventh
@@randybutternubs1209 wow! Distance seventh. I’m no aficionado, I’d love to learn more why you think so. Is he just not good for Ozzy or something about his playing in general ? I have to admit I had a great time at a Wylde concert here in Detroit’s Fox theater
Para mi Jake es su mejor guitarrista y mira que me gusta Zakk Wild
Question. Are the only recordings of the US Speak Of The Devil Tour shows this and Rockford?
Speak of the Devil had Brad and Rudy
This was after speak of devil. Brad Gilis filled those big shoes quite well, but didn't wanna remain a permanent member, because he had his thing with night ranger, I also think that he saw how controlling Sharon was. Ozzy was her money making puppet, and she was greedy as hell, she's the reason Ozzy has had a gazillion band members.
Love you Jake E.Lee forever.
He was amazing that day. It was about 95 degrees at that time with no breeze. We were all on dirt. They used water hoses to try to keep us cooler. Ozzy started a string that ended with Van Halen. I don’t count Quiet Riot or Motley Crue. It was the greatest day of rock in my life of 1700 concerts spanning 48 years
Anyone know what band Jake started after Ozzy? Badlands! Big hit "Dreams in the dark"!
Tommy 🥁
❤❤
My youth finale. Became an adult after this.
Ozzy and Jake E. Lee 🤘
2:11 YEAH !
Jake e Lee 🐐
Did the NAACP ever go after ozz for the stage entrance?
Nope, people didn't cry about shit like that back then. It was a great time. I was 5 years old in 83', but none of that crap started until cancel culture started.
The chubby Ozzy era was the best!
@@gstar7686 once Jake was let go it was all downhill from there
he wasnt even overweight here. if anything his face looks bloated from drugs and booze.
Rhoads All Day!! RIP 🪦🤘🏼🙏
JAKE IS THA MAN
Best show Ozzy did after Randy passed..
Personally I’d give that honor to Kansas City 1986

No love for Bob Daisley on bass who, like everyone else, is shitting it and getting it.
Apparently Don Costa turned up backstage thinking he was still in the band and playing the gig.
Don had family an friends with him,so Sharon walked up to him and fired him in front of them, saying we've got Bob Daisley on bass now.
She set it up to humiliate Don in the worst possible way.
RIP Don Costa.
Randy would have woken up listening this version of I Dont Know. Surprisingly saved by Ozzys vocals.
what the fuck are you talking about?? Jake SLAYED it .. the mix is ruined by how loud the keyboards are .. Randy would have loved the say Jake gave it his own vibe because that is what Randy was all about "be you not some one else"
Why is the sound going in and out in the beginning?
I had to mute out sections of the Diary of a Madman intro to get the video unblocked from copyright bots
go way back
recife pe Brasil surdo bom Brasil 🇧🇷 casa lramos dois recife pe sepultura Brasil 🇧🇷 angra rock viper rock 🤘 ozzy osbourne iron maiden Brasil 🇧🇷 🤘🤘🦻🦻☕️☕️👋👋🤩🤟🏳️🌈👍🤏🏡
Jake era Ozzy kind of has Michael Jackson Thriller vibe
Should have replaced QR and Crue with Accept and UFO...
That stupid keyboard from nowhere ruined a few things...
yes
Too many sound gaps in the beginning.
@@LegShowMagazine it was fine to get past the copyright bots. The actual song performances are untouched
Luv Randy Rhoads… but Jake e Lee is literally ripping Mr Crowley and crazy train.. toss up . RIP Randy Rhoads! 🤘…!
He did good, but you could tell the difference in those songs, I guess because Rhodes wrote those songs.
Ouch a mesquites???
Great set too much keyboards in crazy train
ozzy and sharons biggest mistake was getting rid of Jake e lee Jake was the only guitar player that captured the same magic and talent that Randy Rhodes brought to the band not one other player has ever done that Ozzy would have stayed on top of the rock mountain with Jake after they fired him ozzy kept dropping and dropping his music lost the excitement and unbelievable skill level that Randy and Jake had Ozzy should have grown a pair and told sharon to piss off and leave the band members alone
Tommy Aldridge still looks 70.
666 likes .. I took care of it to get it off there 😊
If he dressed as an indian today he would be cancelled.
@@donquique1 the term is Native American! I’m cancelling YOU
Ozzy's probably coked up (it's the early 80's) he doesn't sound great here and Aldridge looks like he weighs about 90 lbs too
I weighed 137 then and still do. You must be fat.
Yep. Ozzy lost so much of his higher vocal register from doing coke. It's a singer's worst enemy. The shit ruined a ton of musical careers.
