Alright I'm caught up on your videos, somehow I missed 3 of them but I really had to watch this one because I knew that the struggle was going to be real 🤣😂🤣🤪

Hahahaha it was sooooooooo real!!!! It took all my energy to not stomp kick the dash every 5 seconds when I smash my finger somewhere 😂😂

@@iamchazhaynes7074 🤣😂🤣 yeah I know that they could have made it easier to replace it than that because you have all of that room under the dash where it could have went to make the installation soo much easier without ripping the whole dash apart. Im going to have to do one on my pinto as well because when I was massaging the transmission tunnel very gently with a 8lb sledge hammer I think that i created a little small leak or maybe a big pour better describes it 🤦‍♂️😝🤪🌊☔🤣

I had to take top of the dash off, remove the glove box ,take the blower assembly out, remove the heater core and evaporator core after discharging the a.c and the blower assembly of my 1980 mustang

I plan on swapping my 86 dash for a 87-93 so I can install a double din and so I’ll be able to install the 7in Holley terminator X Screen. I just posted today on Facebook looking for a 87-93 dash. Funny you would post a video today showing the removal. I’m not worried about the removal to be honest. The installing all the wires and figuring out what’s all different between 86 and 87-93 is the part that worries me. Getting all the gauges and everything to work like it should.

If your dash and pad is in good shape and not red i have several 87-93 dashes i will swap you with the heater boxs, column and all.....depends on where you are

That’s funny lol that 7in terminator screen is awesome the digital display is such a cool feature I just have the tiny perfect tuning digital display but it’s nice for my setup. Yea it’s not hard to remove but like you said their is a ton of wires that might be rough 😅

What about changing the condenser too do you have to take the whole heater box out or can you do it like you did the heater core. Great video thank you!

i had a 84 85 87 88 91 and a 93 mustang and did a 84 and a 88 heater core ... not fun but back in the day about $550 to have someone else do it ...im cheap ill spend the day or 2 and just do it ...
i did have a heater core new in the box from like 1988 ( done in 2019 ) that was made out of copper just like the original one you took out ... them now alum ish ones are way to soft and for me they bend and flex way to much as you seen with the 2 ends...try to move the old ones ...solid !!!! all parts made today are going to breaks in a few yrs not quality at all ....the original heater core was from 86 you really think that soft heater cores going to last 30 yrs like the old ones ? now all the sensors ,fuses and relays built in the last 10 yrs are no where near quality of 20 yrs ago .. so kind hard to see any cars making it 100 yrs from now unless you can 3d print it (the parts) at home ??????????
    just my 2 cents ....

I HAVE TO AGREE!!! My little dodge is waaaay newer and stupid little things break on it all the time and your right the old heater core was thick the aluminum was super squishy and I don’t trust anyone to work on my cars anymore every time a shop has worked on my car for some reason a new problem always starts up later on 🙄 at least if I do it wrong I know what I did and I’m going to do my damn best to do it right the first time!! But I have to agree the new stuff is garbage I just got new tail pipes from LMR and it doesn’t fit AT ALL the bends are wrong the hangers are wrong I’m going to end making the old pipes work.

I really need a complete cruise control 85-86 column and steering wheel like yours.
Makes me love my non AC 84 so much more when i have to do a heater core on an AC car or 87+, i can swap the heater core in mine in 10min including topping off coolant lol
