My first use: I charged it and took it straight to stage with bari sax. It worked very well. It's easy to use and clip holds firmly. Sounds were ok with three piece horn section.

I’ve used one for several years and I love it. It has never failed me and no signal loss.

I've had my NUX on Bari for several months on stage and it's performed quite well. I'll admit i'm not always great about remembering to hit the charge button on the storage case after a gig. The case really should be reconfigured to charge the receiver and transmitter anytime it's placed back in the case. Also, the lack of a mute button bugs me but isn't a deal breaker. As for the presets, I usually leave it on alto for all the horns. Just turn it on and go, the subtleties of the presets are lost when you are sharing the stage with loud guitars on in a full horn section. Personally i can't wait until V2 which i hope will have flatter EQ, more channels to avoid interference, and more quality of life tweaks.

Yes, definitely! And the battery saving feature can be frustrating sometimes if you have to let the horn sit for a second.

@@cecilyterhune Our sax players have the receiver either on the music or mic stand stand depending on the gig. That way they can check and be in control during the entire show. now they are really happy

I've got one, and it's great, but I still prefer a mic..as does many top guys like Michael Brecker...

Hi, what amp do you recommend with the Nux when making street music?

I like her presentation, good sound on Alto (a very classic sound) there seems to be an obsession with toys!? 😱

A friend let me try this out and it’s a solid mic for the price. I’ve been thinking about getting this as a backup to my AMT-Q7

Love mine. Could use a mute, but otherwise flawless design! It’s been perfect on a couple of years of rock gigs.

Wish I could hear ir with no toys and no "sort of" vibrato at the end of notes. Just about any mic will do to make the horn an effects triigger. How does it sound on a full throated traditional jazz tone? Im getting tired of the power pac and wire when I'm forced to go wireless.

Hello! I just came across this video and I was wondering what would i need to buy to make it portable because I am thinking of busking but im not to sure on if I would need all the things you showed in the video or if i would just need like a small speaker. Thank you!

Nice demo. Soprano sounds great with the soprano setting. Your Bari sounds is excellent. The mic reproduces nicely. Your eq’ing did help however that’s subjective to your audio setup. Just like all the sounds.

Hi is it a condenser mic or dynamic ?thanks

I’ve found the alto setting works best on tenor live. It’s warmer somehow, the tenor setting seems a little bit thin. Also in a busy live stage environment this mic can be a little lively when used through effects. Just my thoughts. It’s still a cracking piece of gear. Mind. I love mine😎👍

Interesting! I’ll have to try leaving the tenor on the alto setting. Thanks for watching!

I know a top pro who also uses his tenor on the green setting (alto) too.

Thanks for showing your set up. How do you power your pedals? Do you have a pedal power supply?

    • @cecilyterhune
      @cecilyterhune  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Yes, I have a few different power supplies. I would recommend Voodoo Lab isolated power supplies.

@@cecilyterhune do you think a 6 band eq pedal would be sufficient for sax? Or are there certain frequencies that we have to keep an eye on?
